Pros +
- Very nice hotel. Room was comfortable and staff was nice. Walking distance to town. We had breakfast and dinner included because we were scheduled to be hiking and didn't want to look for dinner when tired from the hike and drive. Surprisingly good with large buffet style dining. Breakfast was also nice. Parking was next to hotel. The front desk went well above the norm on an issue, trying to find a solution to something that had nothing to do with the hotel.
- Breakfast was one of the best hotel buffets I've ever experienced, with a wide variety of breakfast items including eggs 3 ways, waffles, pancakes, fruit, veggy spreads, pastries, breads.......anything you could imagine for breakfast! The staff were attentive, welcoming, and efficient.
- Great location, staff kind, friendly and helpful. There is a pool, but it is small, and we did not use it. The breakfast and dinner were delicious and with a lot of choice.
Cons -
- Nothing - it was 2 days in a paradise hotel, attached to a paradise sandy beach on a quiet bay.
- The place did not meet my expectations, or we did not understand the place when we booked. The rooms are small and reminiscent of a youth hostel.
- The rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade. We didn’t like the breakfast and dinner policy of having to sign up in advance for an exact time of arrival, but they were not really strict about it so in the end not really a problem. It’s just that being on holidays one doesn’t really want a strict schedule, kind of goes against the whole point of a holiday.

The food and staff were amazing. The location was great as well

The staff at the front desk was superbly friendly and helpful. The location was good with a spacious parking lot. The room was very nice with comfortable beds.
If visiting again, I would not choose to include buffet meals but would eat in town.
Short stay at this hotel. All staff friendly and helpful. Great location, just across from the beach. Pool is a good size for the hotel and comfortable loungers. Fantastic food, both dinner and breakfast. Room nice and a good bed. Parking adjacent to the hotel.
Bathroom on the small side, but we only booked a standard room.
Everything around was walking distance. The food at the restaurant, the cocktails from the bar. All the staff were friendly but also professionals. Congratulations, we had a great time and we are looking forward to come again.
The bathroom was small even for a normal size man. The cleaning ladies changed the position for all of our stuff around the room. I don't know why they did that. After they cleaned the room, the air-condition was left at 20 degrees and the room was cold when we get back.
Great family atmosphere. Excellent services. Restaurant was amazing!! Entertainment was outstanding!!
The food was good and varied. The breakfast and dinner buffet was really well put together and we never had the feeling of it being overcrowded. The waiters and personnel were really nice. The room was very comfortable (great beds and pillows). Shower pressure was amazing and everything worked properly (AC for example).
The drinks were not included with the food. We couldn't get tap water (although it was available for breakfast) with dinner and had no other choice for water than to buy expensive water bottles (almost 4 euros).
Great location. Super set up. Family run with kindness and flair with exceptional staff.
Outstanding breakfast and dinner included in our bedroom rate. Great choice. Great common areas for relax, swimming pool very well kept, kids pool could use a bit more shade, but otherwise great. Lovely Tuesday evening live music entertainment. Very good size bedrooms. Staff was always super helpful and smiling.
Most negative aspect of our stay at Alianthos Garden was Christina - the inflexible restaurant manager who didn't lose the occasion to scold us for one of our breakfasts because we dared not to book the evening before, despite being there at opening (7:30 am) with our already fussy 2-year old baby with us and literally no one sitting anywhere. Even at peak time the restaurant was at best at 2/3 of capacity but the hotel enforced a booking policy and Christina made sure to remind all the customers of this. We have also witnessed similar situations with this lady scolding other clients. Clearly she needs to learn a thing or two about hospitality. Also very disappointing to see that no water (not even tap) is provided as part of the dinner service (while it is for breakfast and it is also always available at the bar) and they literally force you to pay 3.8 euro for 1 Liter of still water (!!!). I would have definitely enjoyed some other drinks during my meals if it wasn't for this cheap behavior - really disappointing.
Nice resort style hotel right in the heart of Plakias. Lovely to be able to stroll the seawalk and town just steps from the hotel. Breakfast and dinner buffets were included, the food was good with lots to choose from and the restaurant staff were wonderful! As were the reception staff, they made sure we were happy and enjoying ourselves. Overall we really enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a resort type hotel.
The hotel was at full capacity so you had to sign up for specific breakfast and dinner times. It worked out alright, but not our personal style.
A very relaxing stay with superb food and staff!Stella and Ami were so welcoming and always serving with a smile. The location is great if you are into the more tranquil beaches in the area.
The only detail that I could mention was the bathroom, which was a bit on the small side with a shower curtain that was hard to avoid while showering. Yet that didn't affect the great stay we had.
The food was absolutely fantastic, with lots of vegetarian options as well. The staff was really friendly and welcoming. The rooms were well-equipped and always cleaned thoroughly.
The bathroom and wardrobe looked a bit aged and might be in need of upgrading. The bathroom was also pretty small and lacked space for storage.
For the lovers of a calm vacation. Wasn’t crowded at all even in the high season. Staff of the hotel was super nice and helpful and the choice of food for breakfast and dinner was great! Delicious! I also recommend visiting their cooking class!
Doesn’t have its own beach so you would have to pay for the sun bed and umbrella which makes the convenience/price ratio worse. I do not recommend going to the closest beach across the road!!!!!!!!!!My mom went to the beach, left her clothes and personal things on the sun-bed, did not find a person to pay for the sun-bed and went for a swim. In 15 minutes she came back and didn’t find her things! Beach boy (or whoever the guy is) simply took them and went away! Later we found him and paid the money but the fact is: you are not allowed to take personal things!!! Rude and ignorant guy. No wonder the beach is empty even in the high season!!!!!!!!!!!!
The quality of the breakfast and dinner was outstanding with an amazing choice at both. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was spotlessly clean and the bed very comfortable. The reception/bar area was spacious and modern and the garden area was attractive and well looked after.
The bedroom could have been improved with a little updating.
Very friendly staff, overall peaceful feeling in the whole hotel and its guests. Restaurant is awesome, both for breakfast and dinner. Bar is also pretty good. The services they offer and their flexibility with things are great as well.Location is awesome for sea enthusiasts - Plakias beach is very close by foot, and it is a particularly good beach to go with a small kid, as it is huge and sandy.Cleaning service does a phenomenal job.
Swimming pool is not really interesting because it is small and not deep. It is good for sunbathing by its side, but not much for swimming.Beds were a bit too soft.
Amazing selection of food.....fabulously cooked and presented. The best. The place had a 'heart', staff were so friendly and helpful.Had a wonderful evening of a Greek band and dancingWished we had booked for longer.Would highly recommend.
More space for more sun loungers.......but the beach was close, but had to pay for sunloungers.
very nice hotel and very friendly staff. the breakfast and the dinner were very good. the beach of Skinari- 5 km by car is fantastic
I had booked a room with sea view and I received a room with view over a small roof with no view on the sea
Everything were exceptional, one of the best accommodation I ever been in Greece. Perfect service, location, staff.. Meal was truly amazing as I overweighted here :-).
One small thing a very tiny bathroom, only with hanging curtains, but I cn live with it.
