Staff were very friendly. Nothing was too much bother. Room was spotless, breakfast was lovely.

Great location, clean and modern rooms, very friendly service.

Wifi was bad an water temperature not warm enough.

We received a free upgrade to a studio, which was spacious and nicely decorated.

The room wasn’t very clean, with sticky spots on the floor throughout our stay, suggesting poor daily cleaning. The worst part, however, was the breakfast, so disappointing that we chose to eat at a local bakery instead

We would certainly go back. The accommodation, staff, pool and breakfast were all great. The location is fabulous with no noise at all from outside the hotel but 3 good restaurants and a cocktail bar within 2 minutes walk. The nicer 'award winning' beach is a 10 minute stroll rather than the harbour which is 100m, but there is a lovely boardwalk and footpath to use.

I really can't think of anything negative to say about our stay - it really was lovely.

Whole hotel recently very nicely refurbished, like new. Beautiful swimming pool and gardens. Good location, off the Main Street but close to restaurants and amenities yet only 200 m from the waters edge. Good breakfast with the full spread.

It was a lovely calm accommodation, great for couples. Luckily, few to no children.The room was spacious enough for 2, good planned bathroom. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The pool was fantastic, plenty of sunbeds by the pool and on the grass.The breakfast was delicious, fresh and in abundance. The rooms were cleaned everyday.

The kitchen lacked a few items - no towels, sponges, dish soap, coffee machine is overdue for cleaning or replacement.The house keeping often forgot towels or left not enough towels. It would be great that there would be additional pool towels available. A bummer that pool bar was so expensive but they were chill with having your own drinks by the pool.

The new renovation’s at Apollo are lovely. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean, everything you need is to hand. The pool has been levelled out to make it easier for people who find it difficult to swim to also enjoy. It is also nice that the pool bar is open later so you can grab a drink before or after dinner. The breakfasts are great, there are lots of variety and the staff work very hard to replenish the food and keep the area clean and tidy. The family who run the apartments are very kind and accommodating.

We had an amazing time at Hotel Apollo Plakias. The room was really comfortable and clean. Stratos was really friendly, he gave us a lot of tips and restaurants references, also prepared to us a very nice Mojito when we joined him in the bar. I really recommend this Hotel to have a good time in Plakias.

We stayed in triple suite which was located in a dark depressing alley way near the hotel. We did not feel part of the hotel experience despite paying the highest price for a room. Apartments from different rental companies signposted in the same alley way were being rented for a fraction of the price we paid at the Apollo. We met a staff member at 4.30am as we arrived late. The handover was very brief. No details in the room shared when we met for keys for Wifi password. Safe was locked. Had to call back for these. No welcoming information in the room to share info on services, nearby restaurants etc. Requested an iron, told verbally it would be in room and in written response on booking.com but never received one. (not being nit picky)Wifi was very poor - had to hotspot off my phone as unable to access google home page for basic internet search, quite frustrating.First impressions of room very disappointing. Pictures on booking.com, were quite misleading and gave the impression that the room and facilities were of a high standard. (Tight cropped pictures excluding unwanted backdrops) If we knew we would be staying in an apartment in a dark alley, we would not have booked this location at all. We had two single beds, no double on offer.Kitchenette was very small, basically sink, kettle, Nespresso m/c and plug in hob with mini fridge.Requested room with a view. The view from the balcony was looking across at a building and balcony's from other apartment providers

Excellent family driven hotel. Very friendly staff, already from the time of booking we called the hotel with questions and were greeted with helful and friendly answers. Very close to beach, restaurant and main street, but still in a quiet location. Great pool and breakfast. The town is in a beautiful area of south Crete, but less touristic than many other areas on the island. Highly recommended.

Some challenges with lack of laundry facilities at the hotel and in the town, for a longer stay.

Nice and clean

Room was very small. We stayed for just one night and there was no hot water in shower twice. Breakfast was over crowded.

The hotel is located in the main area of Plakias. The beach, market, most of the tavernas, boat rental are within 1-2 minutes walking distance. The trails going to the hills and nearest beaches are also easily accessible from here. The hotel offers a free parking place outside the fence, next to the building. The breakfast was served next to the pool every morning from 8-10 a.m., and it was better than expected. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet, the cleaning ladies came every day. The room even has a small balcony. We haven’t tried the pool, but it looked really clean, and it deepend from zero to 1,4 meters at the end.We had a lovely stay in this hotel!

The kitchen was a little bit small, and the drawer the cutlery was stored in was on the floor, under the rubbish bin. We did not use the kitchen that much, but it is not ideal if you want to cook for yourself. There was no ‘do not disturb’ sign, for cases we did not want cleaning. The safe was locked probably by the previous guests, so we couldn’t use it.

We have been in Crete for a month now and this is the best place so far ?. It's great location close to the beach ⛱️ and the town. Lots of taverns and bars. Apollo is very clean, bedding and towels changed regularly. It has a great pool and sunbed and a small bar area open all day. Breakfast was nice plenty of choice. Staff were excellent and very friendly ?

The hotel is very central, walking distance to the beach, shops, restaurants and ktel bus station. The pool is very nice also. There is everything you may need for a short stay in Plakias. Rooms are good value for the price, we slept well and would recommend. We enjoyed particularly the balcony. Some visitors complained the staff did not speak english in the comments, I would like to say that when visiting a foreign country you should not expect everyone to speak your language. I would recommend learning a few greek words beforehand as it could be useful in many situations. It's not up to the locals to adapt.

Pool and garden

Pictures of rooms presented did not resemble the room I had. It was tiny, ill-equipped, and poorly finished. Would have been acceptable at half the price.
