Alianthos Beach Hotel

Locations is excellent, being right across the road from the beach. Meals (we had breakfast & Lunch there on several occasions), was excellent. Great quality & choice. You could see it was a very popular dining option for locals on a Sunday.

The toilet/shower room was quite small and whilst using the shower it drenched the rest of the area. It not a 'plush' hotel, but very nice for a stay in such as small a place such as Plakias.

Location was great. Breakfast was good.

They didn’t seem ready for us checking in at 3:45 pm when check in was at 3 pm.The shower sprayed water all over the bathroom floor and it was unavoidable.

Amazing breakfast , requested double but got twin beds ? at the far end of the beach strip. Not much happening in Plakias, skip if you can !

Location is excellent, the breakfast had a wide variety of items.

We booked and paid for a sea view room. From the photos it’s obvious that these all face the sea. We were given a room at the side of the hotel, which they insisted had a sea view. This was only if you looked sideways from the tiny balcony. This is a clear deception. The manager stated that no rooms were available at the front of the hotel. We were offered a free dinner from a limited menu or 50% off a second night if we stayed. Neither appealed so we cut our losses and left after one night. If you book a sea view room get confirmation that this is at the front of the hotel.No shampoo in the bathrooms, just small squares of soap - like a cheap motel.

The location was excellent, right by the beach, we could have even breakfast, lunch or dinner by the beach, excellent service from the friendly staff. Food was exceptional. One can feel the personal touch, they make us welcome all the time, like family! We certainly come back as soon as we can.

Everything was perfect, we wish we could have stayed longer.

Friendly staff, comfortable bed, large spacious room

One of our rooms had a fabulous sea view with balcony. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was modern with good water pressure. Breakfast was a very good buffet, with a variety of dishes to please anyone. Coffee was great! Location right on the main street was fantastic, easy to walk to everything in Plakias.

Both of our rooms were booked and charged as sea view. One didn’t have a sea view at all, was looking at the local supermarket. When I talked to the staff she just kept telling me that it was a sea view room… it most definitely wasn’t. See photo attached. No option to change rooms as the hotel was full, and no offer of a discount. The air conditioning units in the rooms were outdated and inefficient… the room didn’t really cool down until about 6am.

The staff went out of their way to be helpful. We loved that we could listen to the sea from our bed. The room was cleaned every day. The breakfast was fantastic. Loved this hotel and the staff.

The breakfast was good and location was good.

We could hear a child crying in the next room - so much for the room being sound proof. Our room was also poorly lit, very small and dingy .

The street was noisy during nightime. But was ok with balcony closed, aircon was working well.The shower had a lot of features (massage etc), but they were broken, impossible to switch on. Shower itself worked well.

I like that it is beachfront and a walking distance to restaurants, shops, etc. it’s on of the best in Plakias area. The room is spacious, clean, with balcony of sea view. Delicious breakfast, friendly and warm staff and crew!! Highly recommended.

Alianthos is a beautifully situated, clean and friendly property with simple, well equipped rooms and comfy beds.

Nothing not to like!

The staff is extraordinary friendly. They are the most lovely and friendly people working in a hotel / restaurant I have ever seen (and I have been to a lot hotels). My mother and me had so much pleasure because of you, thank you so much for that. We didnt feel like staying in a hotel, it felt like being guests at a friends place. We will come back. See you next year.

Excellent breakfast. Extremely helpful & friendly staff . Location is very central to the resort & they have a really good restaurant. It was a bonus being able to use the pool at the hotel next door.

The room cleaning regime was a bit haphazard. We asked for our towels to be changed after 3 days, although the room had been tidied. But, to be fair, the cleaners & reception reacted straight away to any request.

That two items went missing from my room. The first one which I noticed on the first day the hotel promised to give back the next day and after 1 week I didn’t receive it back and they promised send it by post and we never received it. The second item I only missed after I left the hotel and they couldn’t provide an explanation and therefore assumed that it wasn’t in the room and that I probably lost it.
