Sumus Hotel Stella & Spa 4*Superior

Our stay at the hotel was overall a pleasant experience, though a bit different from what we initially expected.We received great assistance with parking — convenient and reasonably priced at €12 per night. The staff were very friendly and truly cared about their guests, always cooperative and ready to help with whatever we needed.The restaurant was definitely 5-star quality, offering a wide variety of dishes and a delicious breakfast. It’s absolutely worth including dinner in your reservation!A special mention to Lourdes, the hotel manager — she was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make our honeymoon even more memorable. Her warmth and hospitality truly made a difference in our stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The cleaners were effective. The breakfast was good. It was clean. The parking I paid for was very close. The beach and train station are a short walk.

My room was above the bar which I clearly heard had live music a few nights and the chairs scraping on the floor after for cleaning kept waking me up. Although the breakfast was ok I missed a few items. My parents stayed In Sumus Malgrat which had Brie and other types of cheeses. I missed that. The bar didn’t serve the food on their menu many days; only pizza or panini. I think the information should explain clearer that the parking costs 12 euro per day.

The pool is great (get there early), the location is a few minutes from the beach. You have a buffet style restaurant and a cafe restaurant where you can order near the pool. They also have an open patio where you can relax (away from the pool)

- The buffet is more focused on quantity than quality. - The spa came at an extra cost for only 3 hours, so you can use it as an amenity.- The elevators were not designed in mind with so many people.

I stayed at this hotel from April 12 to 18 with my 10-year-old child. Unfortunately, my experience was somewhat disappointing. When booking, I must have missed the fact that the hotel is oriented towards adults only — although it wasn’t clearly stated, in my opinion. One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was the presence of an indoor pool, as I knew the weather might still be too cold for outdoor swimming, and I wanted my child to be able to relax and enjoy the school break.To my great disappointment, I was informed upon arrival that children are not allowed to use the pool, and there were absolutely no alternative options or activities for kids. As a result, I couldn’t use any of the spa facilities either, since there was nowhere and no one to leave my child with — no kids club, no play area, not even a lounge where they could wait comfortably.On a positive note, the staff were friendly and the food was decent. However, the hotel itself looked much better in the photos than in real life. It’s quite dated — the bathroom fixtures are old, the toilet makes a loud noise after flushing, and the air conditioning barely works, if at all.Overall, these issues impacted my ability to relax and enjoy the stay. I believe this hotel could be a better fit for solo travelers or couples, but it is definitely not suitable for families with children

On the positive side, the staff were friendly and welcoming, the general cleanliness was acceptable, and they had started putting up some Easter decorations, which was a nice touch.

This hotel was amazing, the staff were so friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Myself and my husband had such a great time and we will definitely be back.

The gym was quite small however still very nice and the solarium was a good addition

From the minute you walk through the door you are greeted with the warmest welcome. The hotel is immaculately clean and our room was very comfortable with modern furnishings and lots of little extras you would get at a great hotel. The spa is beautiful and the pool area is clean with lots of sun beds always available. After checking out we were given a lovely care package of snacks and water for our return journey home. This is a little diamond of a hotel and we will definitely be returning

You can hear the corridor quite clearly from the room. Sound proofing could be better

This is our second stay at this hotel and we will try to come again next year.The hotel staff is very nice and friendly. You need a sun umbrella for the beach - it is given, is raining, maybe you need an umbrella? and etcThe rooms are clean, there is shower gel and shampoo. Kettle, tea, coffee in packs. Beach towels can be purchased at the reception, a deposit of 10 euros/unit, if you want to change to a clean one, 1 euro.If you need slippers for room, they can be purchased at the reception for 2 euros/pair. For those who like to eat well, you will definitely find something to choose from for dinner, from burgers, seafood, steaks, etc.Breakfast is not as impressive as dinner, always the same, but there is definitely something to choose from.There is also a drinks package for an additional fee (because drinks are not included in the dinner). We were very impressed with the work and professionalism of the hotel manager L. Riera. I think she contributes a lot to such a good aura of the hotel that you want to come back again.Already 4 couples of my friends are planning to visit Sumus Hotel after my recommendations.The hotel is 5 minutes from the sea, 4 minutes from the train station with which you can reach Barcelona (trains run approximately every 30 minutes, the price for an adult one way is about 6 euros). Bus 603 runs from Barcelona Airport to Pineda de Mar (cost about 11 euros per person), about 1 hour

I think the year before when we were there the safe was free.It's paid now, a little thing, but it's sad.Also that there are no slippers in the room.Towel hangers are so awkward that towels fall off them. It was necessary to press the towels with rubber bandsDoes not have breakfast box, just you can eat cookies, fruit and drink coffe on the spot (if you warn them in advance).

-The swimming pool is very small and doesn’t reflect the pictures of the hotel, where it is huge and big. So this is just fake pictures of swimming pool- for lunch and dinner you always have to buy drinks extra

The hotel was very clean. The staff was nice and helpful. breakfast buffet very good.

We thought the hotel was located firstline from the beach and it wasn´t. You have to walk a couple of blocks, go under the train station and then you get into the beach. Also, the pool seemed bigger in the pictures than what it is in reality.

We like absolutely everything.

We stay here now, on a few trips to south of Spain. No peage on Spanish autoroute in the area. Excellent connections, when driving. Street parking option, in green zone, needs coins or download parking app. Great breakfast spread. Check in seamless. Staff helped me download parking app. There is a space to park when checking in. Nice pool, bar.

In my room, 431, sliding door in bathroom strange design, which moves of its own accord, on rail. But great double bed, and city and mountain views.

The location was great, quiet city, spacious and most important the hotel had clean rooms and were cleaned every day. The breakfast had plenty of variety and was tasty. Also, for people who travels with a car, there are two areas with free parking spaces, 5 minutes walking from the Sumus hotel on Carrer Cristòfor Colom, 86. The parking is not as safe as you would park at Sumus, but is worth it, had no issues.
