Grand Hotel Murgavets

We had it room with sauna.Not medium but more higher price than medium.the tvs in both room is very old,cant connect netflix,youtube or even screen share.The room had it water leak.With this location this hotel need remodeling.

1. The breakfast was rich and quality. 2. The staff was helpful and qualified, especially Katya, the children advisor in the entertainment room. 3. This hotel is perfect for the money worth. 4. Location is quite good. 5. Rooms are very well heated. 6. Internet connection is good. 7. %10 discount for a nearby quality restaurant called Chalet.

1. The swimming pool is cold. 2. There is no room service to the rooms from the restaurant. 2. There are only two lifts for 8 floors to be used by both the visitors and the staff, sometimes they are busy.

I liked that it was quiet and the pools and the hot tub were wonderful

The room was big with modern design. Bads are comfortable. The view from the rooms are amazing.

The room cleaning missed a lot of things to clean.

Pretty bad checkin experience. Gave us a key to someone else's room. We just walked right in.Messed up the timing of ny partner's massage.Weirdly inefficient.

The location was great as well as some of the staff - bar tenders really knew how to do their job! Rooms were cozy, view from the forest side amazing

The food was extreme low quality but really very very bad especially for such range of hotel. Staff at restaurant not very polite and most of them looked like they speak no language (impossible to understand an espresso order/or a beer as I witnessed a situation at next to mine table). Mentioning there is kids club but no - just an inviting room with 5-7 broken toys. Shuttle bus not very convenient hours but luckily with many other hotels around we used their shuttles on way back from ski. Overall the pictures and info are misleading as well as the price - hotel does not meet the standard claimed

Great hotel for the price, it was nice to come back from a day of skiing to use the spa facilities!

Breakfast ended to early, and children in the jacuzzi and spa areas, being loud.

Not worth the price

Visited with my 3y.o. and checked/asked in advance if kids club was available. I was reassured - yes. What i came to find was a cold and dirty hall with barely handful of broken and overused toys without any personal to look after the kids or entertain them. Next option was the pool.....cold (24°C water) , moldy and unguarded place overlooking the main road and parking. Hence the pool was definitely not an alternative. The restaurant was with fairly high prices considering the high season, yet the a la cart food was disastrous. Poor old deep frozen cow sold for fresh beef along with many many other sad dishes.When at the end of a long day one would like to rest and sleep....instead of feeling relief and rest, you can only feel and hear the bass from the disco across the street that closes at midnight (great lazer beams creeping in between the curtains).After that the downbelow bar takes its turn to torture guests up until 3rd floor(at least).Parking area is a small slippery chaos.The only positive thing were the bartenders of the lobby bar serving the so much needed alcohol. Nothing against Ukrainians, but asking for espresso at breakfast created massive chaos and misunderstanding..

The hotel is located in a communicative area. They also offer free shuttle to the nearest ski lift.

There is a ski wardrobe, however there is no convenient place to change into your ski boots.

Pillows were too high, there was noise coming from the street across bars, restaurants on weekends.

The room was clean and very warm with a very beautiful view. The beds and the linen were new and very soft and comfortable. The staff were very kind and friendly. The cleaning personnel were also very kind. We liked that there was a storage for our ski equipment and that there was a regular mini bus to the ski slopes in the am and the pm so transportation was easy.

The only thing we didn’t like was that the room was a bit small ( although we didn’t spend much time there) and the breakfast could’ve been slightly richer (nicer bread, traditional Bulgarian honey and jams, etc)

Third stay in this excellent hotel... perfect for my skking trip.Fantastic mountain and forest views from my balcony.

The location was super, close to good restaurants and shops. The breakfast was also very nice. The sauna area has cosy and comfortable atmosphere but is too noisy, because it is right next to the pool.

The „double bed“ bedroom was not for a couple, it had to separate matresses put together and seprate bed covers- not suited for couples!It was awfully hot in the room, you cannot regulate it, it has central heating, it was really bad at night, probably 30 degrees, you have to constanly open the balcony door and can not sleep properly.The room was very old or not renovated, half of the lamps were broken, sink was broken, tv and refrigarator also.In the spa center there is a kids pool and no staff to control the non-speaking and shouting rules, it is the noisiest spa I have ever been, it looks more lika a bar than a relaxing area. Children should have a separate area and there should be staff on site to look after the order in the spa center. It was a really disappointing experience since the spa amenities are really good, the furniture is well designed but you can not stay and realax there beacause of the constant talking and screaming.Last but not least, the driver from the transfer shuttle to the slopes was really rude, not cooperative and never came or went on time! You wait for him to finish smoking some cigarettes, that‘s how he measures time, on the pick up from the slopes you are trying to be punctional to catch the bus and it is never there at the same time, we were 5min earlier and he already left, we were 15’ earlier and wait for him 45min, he is trying to merge some of the pick up hours, obviously a very lazy and uncorrect person!

they claim they have a free autopark but if you find a place you can park! so the autopark is not enough for all guests and the stuff not helping you to find a suitable place. i parked my car in front of the hotel but the stuff warned me that i can not park my car there(Turkish Plate car) then i moved my car to another place, but during our stay Bulgarian plate cars parked that place that i was moved by the stuff, so why i was moved there because of the Turkish plate? What should i think about it? i think the hotel stuff must be more smiling face and it is now.

The location is perfect, the breakfast was ok.

We went to the spa 3 times and 2 out of 3 there were no towels left. For 4 days straight no one came to clean our room, not to mention change our towels. The walls are so thin you can hear everything from the other rooms, as if its happening in yours. It was not a 4 star experience for sure.

A wonderful stay! The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful, making us feel truly welcome. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a deep and restful sleep. The SPA area was well-maintained, and the saunas were spacious enough to relax comfortably. Highly recommended!

The breakfast and dinner offered a wide variety of options; however, I would recommend adding soup to the dinner menu.

Good location

The pool was too cold, massage rooms also cold. The rooms and bathrooms are dated

The Hotel is a nice building with beautiful decorations and comfortable furniture. A bit outdated but very cozy. The entire building and every room, including the Lounge is well heated and clean. The room itself was clean with a wonderful view. Using the Pool as well as the Sauna was included in the price and we had a nice time there.

It would be great if the hotel had more parking spaces, since it was already difficult to find a place in front of the building. The room was too well heated and we had to open the window throughout the evening to let some fresh air in and be able to fall asleep. The breakfast was good with some vegan options.

Would not recommend this greedy and unfriendly hotel.

The 1 night stay at this property was not pleasant. On arrival, the hotel staff had only 1 of our 2 rooms ready at the 14:00 check in time. Upon taking a look at the room, the room did not match what we had booked online and it smelled horridly. Talking with the reception they showed no shame, and tried to insist this was the room we had booked. Upon showing our reservation to them they changed the room, though in short they were trying to see if we didn't notice the incorrect room. While waiting for the second room to be ready, we left the luggages and went to the ski lifts; asking the reception what was the best way to travel there since their ski shuttles weren't working at the time. They told us a taxi was best and ordered one for us, rather than a 2.5 km walk to the lift. To our surprise the taxi they ordered our party of 4 was a 30+ lev ride for a short 2.5km ride, thank you Murgavets! Upon returning later to the hotel we took a look at the second room on our reservation and it was the correct room we had paid for but this didn't match the first room our family was staying in. At this point it was already the evening and we were so frustrated we wanted the stay at this property to be over. Went to try and relax at the spa, and there was no water or towels freely available, as if the spa hadn't been tended by staff for hours. The power went in and out 3 times during our stay, even though the rest of the town had electricity. Morning breakfast and coffee the next day and was average, but not many choices for a buffet style. At check out we let staff know about our dissatisfaction and unhappiness for our 1 night stay, they offered a 15% discount for another stay this winter... yeah no thanks. Would highly not recommend this property, let alone Pomporovo, unless you want to be ripped off...
