A fake hotel

I was in a room without window!. This is the first time in my life that I pay 250 dolars for a room without windows and despite my claim nothing was done. The breakfast is very basic, bad quality coffee and food. The soap given was horrible (see pictures), we had to buy soap in the supermarket. This hotel does not deserves 4 stars, it is barely 3.

The facilities are very old, the rooms are not well maintained. You need to book before using the gym and the opening hours of the swimming pool are quite limited.

I am deeply disappointed with my recent experience, which unfortunately will likely be my last time using your service. I booked the hotel with specific amenities in mind, including access to the pool, which was listed as available when I made the reservation and when I paid. However, upon arrival, I was informed that the amenities were unavailable due to maintenance.The app and the receptionist both confirmed that the pool would be accessible between 12:00 and 18:00. After leaving our luggage, we were suddenly informed that none of the amenities, including the pool, would be available. This was particularly frustrating as I had canceled two other bookings specifically to ensure my son and elderly father could enjoy the pool on our last day. My son was extremely disappointed, and the entire experience left us feeling let down.To make matters worse, when I tried to address the issue, the receptionist abruptly left without offering any solutions, and I was told that the manager had no time to attend to guests. This level of service was disheartening, and the lack of resolution made it even more frustrating.I have lost confidence in Booking.com's filters and descriptions, as they did not reflect the reality of our experience. Moving forward, I will be cautious in relying on your platform, as it has proven to be unreliable in this instance.

Cleanliness

Breakfast is a « buffet » mess. Feels like you are in a military queue where you are served a « specific » amount of food once only and after you give your room number 2 times to different people. Not very enjoyable experience, nor particularly tasty breakfast.

For the price we paid I was expecting a better place.

The Internet was not so good. As soon as we get in the bedroom we notice that the bathroom exhaust fan was not working and we reported the issue to the reception. They never came to fix it.

The hotel it's in repairs so you have to deal with workers moving around and the pool was close one day, the location is good but not too near to the beach as I though

The best thing about this hotel is that it's very clean and modern, which is not so obvious at places like San Andres. The location is good, you can easily walk to everything in the main town.

While it's a good place and nice to have such a clean and comfortable room, there are quite a few things that makes the place not as great as it could be so think about that if these things matter to you:The pool looks better in the pictures, in reality it's small and kind of in a corner between walls, so it doesn't get any sunshine either. They seem to be working on something on the rooftop, if they put a pool there that will be great with amazing views.The gym is very small, but probably most people don't go to San Andres for the gyms.Our room didn't really have a window, you can't open it and you have no view as it's tinted. I believe the reason is that there is a wall there very close, the rooms on the other side of the corridor seem to have proper windows.Breakfast is very simple, not good quality, and their system doesn't make much sense: it is a buffet breakfast but you have to wait for them to put things on your plate... which goes against the idea of a buffet and makes it very slow. I don't really get it either why they ask for your room number when you have to wear a wristband anyways.Another disappointment was the staff, whatever we asked for (longer luggage storage, earlier check-in, laundry service, etc), the answer was always no, and they also couldn't (or mostly felt like didn't care to) give any recommendations on how to solve these. Also at breakfast they don't seem to care much about making it a better experience.

Location - in the centre of town and close to the beach. The room was clean and modern. Housekeeping was amazing.

Check in procedure was cumbersome and inflexible. Having to leave a security deposit for a second key cheapened the experience. Breakfast has a limited choice and strange rationing system whereby it’s a buffet yet you’re not allowed to take the amounts you want. Gym had virtually nothing in it apart from a couple of running machines a bike and a few dumbbells. No hot water ( it would come and go at best).

Breakfast was very limited also we get Tuesday and we excited to use the pool but was close all day for Maintenance

Front desk is slow. But that appears to be everywhere with Colombian service so it’s cultural not exclusive to that hotel.

Not good noise isolation and the people in other rooms were very noisy. The bathroom extractor didn’t work.

The location, the size of the bed, the aircon

We left the room one day, when we came back the toilet was full of paper and everything else, it looks like the person cleaned the room threw all our rubbish in the toilet and it clogged. My wife is Australian, they thought she did that because in her country is like that, but I'm Brazilian and she knows that we throw the paper in the bin.So, that's the only issue, the rest is fine, it's a good hotel, not perfect, not bad.

The location is perfect, 5 minutes walk to both beach and harbour.

The gym cardo machines did not function, and some of the employee did not want to be working, but who could blame them for that?

Staff was amazing and professional. They were kind enough to perform an early check in when we arrived because the room was ready by the time we got there.The hotel is close to the beach, to blocks away and full of stores to visit on your way there. It also features good places to eat outside.Jesus David was amazing at suggesting us plans to do and helping us arrange different activities that we wanted to do in our short stay.

Small things but they still count.- The room didn't have a phone to communicate with the reception so any time we needed something we had to go downstairs- The hotel restaurant had little to no gluten free options for breakfast. It is important to keep in mind that there's people that decides to live gluten free and others that NEED to live gluten free, it is not a choice for a lot of us, having a few options would be nice.- The hotel restaurant didn't offer service for dinner and the window to request lunch was really small: 12-13:30 or you are out.
