    • the placement on the beach. la ubicacion en la playa
    • Nice staff

    Cons -

    • There was no hot water for the shower every morning..we would have to call the front desk to make sure they have the engineers turn it on..I asked for an iron and ironing board which never came
    • Pagar 200 dólares por noche resulta excesivo considerando la precariedad de las habitaciones. Una verdadera vergüenza. Paying 200 dollars per night is excessive given the poor condition of the rooms — truly shameful.
    • I think the rate is too high for what the hotel offers, the pool is horrible for the old facilities

    Horrible experience for a vacation

Apparently I somehow how made a mistake in booking the 11 year old child . The night registration was very uncooperative . He requested something like $300000 pesos more per night for a simple little boy . So we rebooked a better hotel for a much better price more near the activities in the city center . I don’t really want to hurt anyone , but because of this stupid greed for more money they lost $2000 more in a cancelled booking for the remaining nights . This is a little bit mean , but I guess paying customers are easy to find and they are booked full so they have the power to turn away the booking . HA it looked pretty slow there to me so I believe it was costly . My family was pretty exhausted from the days traveling . Not really very happy with the hour of additional stress waiting to check in than was to late at night to find food for my hungry tired family .

The hotel was bit pricey, yet there is no better location with beach beds included. The restaurant is on the site and decently good. The breakfast was excellent. The beach is nice and not crowded.

The warm water is from solar, so sometimes there is none in the evening.

    Service and location

Seaweed was horrible … no clean up .. alot of sand flees while we were eating on the beach… hotel surrounded by abandoned hotels/homes… garbage everywhere… so sad

beach within a few steps from the room.

found a couple of critters in the room. they were killed immediately after reporting it to the front desk.

The staff is lovely, it is nice to have a beach just from couple of steps from your room.

I preferred it here because of the beach, and I paid more than at other hotels on the island. However, there was a lot of seaweed to make it impossible to get into the sea. I know it is not the hotel's fault, but if you clean your beach every morning, there will be no issue for the guests. (for example, last year, a hotel where I stayed in Boracay did that)Also breakfast menu is so limited, you should have a little buffet so guests can eat different things instead of the same things every day.

Beautiful hotel grounds and very friendly, helpful staff. The rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. The food was delicious and great, fast service in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and polite. Beautiful quiet beach which always had lounges available. It's a smaller hotel so it was nice and quiet with not too many people which we liked. The pool is small but perfect for kids.

There was a lot of sargassum on the beach for the first few days we were there. They don't do much to clean it but most days would rake a path through it so you don't have to walk through it to reach the water. I know it's not their fault, but it negatively impacted our experience. Also, we rented a buggy from the the guy that rents them at that hotel (Saul Enrique Martinez Batist) and they took our buggy back 3 hours early (our contract stated we had the rental from 9 am to 6pm). We came back to the hotel for a bit to eat and when we came back out to continue exploring the buggy was gone. We thought it was stolen but after some looking and contacting them, they told us someone else mistakenly took our buggy using another key. They would not refund us for the 3 hours we did not use the buggy. They did offer another buggy later in the afternoon but by that time we were fed up and did not want it as it was too late for us to go to beaches as we have a 5 year old with us. They also told us they would only accept cash (we didn't have any so my husband had to get the bus into town to access an ATM) but did see them accepting credit card from others. Be cautious renting from them.

Great location on beach , lovely room with good aircon and amazingly comfortable beds, and very clean.Breakfast was reasonable, but limited choice of two items from menu .Staff were very polite and friendly especially the relations manager who when out of her way to make amends when the room we originally booked was double booked. It was my girlfriends birthday and they organized a really nice special dinner on the beach which was lovely ?

Only possibly that breakfast could be different as more choice and not limited to two items considering price of accommodation

Helpful and friendly staff. We were offered a different room when one was requested.Private beach with nearby eatery and snacks available.Large bottle of water provided in the room.Fridge in the room - un-stacked.Toiletries provided in the bathroom.

No telephone in room and no room service available, contrary to booking.com's advertisement. No spa, (contrary to booking.com's advertisement) just a massage table set up under a cover on the beach. No tea or coffee making facilities in rooms. No ironing facilities in the rooms.Only 1 restaurant on site, not 3 as advertised. I wouldn't really describe it as a restaurant either. No information regarding the hotel or local facilities etc in the rooms.

Everything was great but the service in the restaurant was a little on the slow side.. had to keep finding servers to order or ask for things even when the restaurant wasn’t busy. Food was great though!!!

Beautyfull localisation right on the beach. Restaurant was ok. Nice live music in the evening.

Booked a suite. Get to the hotel. They ask me for payment duing check in. I was charged for the suite that I make reservation. Than I went to the hotel room. I get the regular small and dark room. When I asked about this "mistake" was offered free dinner this night. I insist to get the suite, because that was reservation for special ocasion. Get it next day. But they didn't give the cash back for the night in regular hotel room. When I want to order freee dinner I get an information that jus few items are included in this free dinner. As you can imagine - the chipest one. Anyway even the suite was not worth this price.

The property has a private beach. It’s very safe, zero noise. you can schedule tours directly with them. The sunrise it’s stunning

Maybe it was the season. A lot of wind and sargassum. Lots of mosquitos as well. I had a lot of expectations. I had been to San Andres before and I wanted to stay there. But there was not enough activities to do during night time. If you want to sleep in early you won’t have issues but I wanted more time with my wife and friends.

    8JohanPosted on: 12-25-2024

Location is perfect on a beautiful beach. The restaurant is with good food and very good enthusiastic employees. Perfect place to stay for a beach rest holiday

    3BenjaminPosted on: 12-17-2024

The restaurant on the property has a good menu with great food. We were never disappointed in the quality of the food. The only problem is that the "included" items only make up about half the menu, so if you want something not included, which were most big dishes, you have to pay.

We had endless problems with our room, the biggest of which was the lack of hot water. For almost our entire stay we had no hot water. Every time I brought this problem to the management, we received the same excuse: that the hot water works with solar panels, so there is no hot water unless the sun is out (WTF). Also, the faucet in the bathroom is automatic and functions like one in a public bathroom, which is very uncomfortable and inconvenient. In our room, there were no hand towels and no phone to call management to ask about the water. Still on the topic of the water, it smelled bad, again, like a public bathroom. The staff were polite, but seemed absent minded in their work and were not very motivated to help, usually just offering excuses. During all of our problems and complaints, they flat out denied any idea of a discount or tab in the restaurant to make up for the disappointments. On the contrary, they started asking for more money for things in the restaurant and the use of facilites. Overall, this hotel is not worth the money or the inconvenience. Its out of the way location, low quality of the beach (being full of seaweed), lack of basic services, and apathy of the staff and manager makes this a place to avoid if you are looking to make the most of your trip to San Andres. Next time, we will be staying in Grand Sirenes or another property with better services.

    Nice beach and nice staff

Room was a little old with a smell and hot water system was average. some showers would be to hot and other showers cold.

The staff were all super friendly and helpful at every turn, they made us smile and laugh every day! The rooms were great with really good air conditioning, super clean and comfortable. They also all looked beautiful from the outside, like little colourful houses. The rooms were right on the beach. The restaurant served delicious food, and the restaurant staff were exceptionally friendly. We had a lovely time talking to them every day! The beach was lovely and clean, with friendly dogs and cats here and there. Mauritzio offered great tours: we went on the snorkelling tour and had an amazing experience. We highly recommend it! Overall just a fantastic holiday, we will miss it! Thank you Hotel Cocoplum!

    Nothing - everything was fabulous.
