    Pros +

    • Tranquil, cozy, staffs are well trained and very friendly
    • The staff was incredible. Jayvee, Joy, Lisbeth….everyone was so nice and accommodating.
    • Almost everything! Amazing sea next to the hotel room, nice resort overall and very friendly and helpful staff.

    Cons -

    • I lost my portable wifi in my room
    • The first five photos on booking.com have nothing to do with this resort. There is NO beach access. The closest swimmable beach is a quarter of a mile away and crowded with families. I booked a room with one queen bed and got two twins. The deluxe bungalow is in no way deluxe. If you are looking for a quiet getaway near a pool with drinks, great, but not what I was expecting after a 5 hour drive from the airport. Booking.com needs to more closely vet what these hotels are out putting on their site.
    • Prices for the hotel food lunch/dinner are at least 3x higher than prices in restaurants around or at Pangasma beach. Also we had power break 2 times during one night. Otherwise awesome.

Amazing resort. Ultra friendly people. Pristine cleanliness and well maintained. Great dive school attached plus massages. Right next to the sea and coral. Meals from the restaurant were the best we had eaten our whole trip in the Philippines.

    Couldn't spend longer here!

Breakfast was amazing. On the days we had an early departure a sandwich was packed for us. The location is amazing, can do some nice snorkeling and swimming with turtles right on resort beach. Easy for all levels.

When locals know you are staying at the Dolphin House, you will get ripped off. They will over charge you. The tours offered in the hotel, even the private car to the airport was over priced. You can find the same tours/ride for less than half in town.

The resort is a bit far from Cebu City, but absolutely worth it. The grounds are peaceful and full of flowers, and the cosy bungalows make it a perfect place to relax. We loved spending time in the pool, and the public beach is only a 10-minute walk away. The food was delicious, and the staff were always warm and attentive, often going beyond expectations.A highlight of our stay was the diving — the instructor from the hotel was excellent, making the experience safe, fun, and truly unforgettable.Highly recommended for both relaxation and adventure!

Breakfast is ok not superb but good enough. The staff are accommodating , helpful and courteous.

The hotel is a little bit far and the beach is not good . Have to walk a little bit to enjoy the sandy beach. The room has no tv and basic toiletries with the room rates.

Food was great. Beautiful outdoor amenities

WiFi was impossible to connect but i didn’t ask for help I’m sure they would have been helpful. Great staff!

The location was good. Breakfast spread was limited and did not have anything in vegetarian, but the chef made special vegetarian fried rice and noodle for us, appreciated.

Everything was good, but for all those facilities and service price charged were much higher. With the similar price one can get much premium properties with much better services and facilities in Cebu city, just that we wanted to stay in Moalboal, we had no option but to pay premium rate to here.

Not much honestly. It wasn't what we expected. They kept claiming to be stars but it's barely 2 stars.

Locked out of my room for over an hour around 7 pm on a Tuesday. Reception hours are ridiculous. The room price for the value is terrible. No phones in the room. Beds small and crappy. Terrible value. You need to order your overpriced dinner in advance and its just not a good menu. The breakfast is not great either. Room key is obnoxiously huge.

Great location with easy access to the beach.Really nice house reef with plenty corals and sea life.I found the dining menu a bit limited for a fussy eater as myself, but they accommodated me by making me a pizza from the lunch menu which was really well made.Staff are friendly and helpful and the resort overall has a warm friendly vibe.

    9JordanaPosted on: 3-27-2025

Loved the facilities and being able to snorkel directly in front of the resort. We saw so much sea life it was fantastic.

Very picturesque resort. The swimming pool is nice to use if itnot raining.

The price you pay for diving there is exorbitant. Its double what you pay in Malapascua. You have to kit up everything yourself and wash everything yourself It seems quite regimented in the resort..You are charged PhP1300 per person for dinner and have a very limited selection of food.If you venture out you can support the locals at a fraction of the cost. The curio shop is also extremely expensive.Their transfers to the airport are way overpriced. Php6600 quoted but paid far less when we called the supplier direct...be very careful of this !Even their drinks are way over priced. If it's raining there is nothing to do close by.

Great pool and beautiful gardens. The snorkelling was good, you have to swim out quite far to get to the coral but this is not a problem as it is very shallow. The best snorkelling is from the headland of the next beach along. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. There was a large shop which would benefit from selling local crafts and souvenirs - there was nothing much of interest on sale. This could be a fabulous place to stay - on arrival it feels like a 5 star hotel, but they really need to address the WiFi issues, reception opening hours and the cost/variety of food options - these all let it down.

Lack of WiFi in some areas and having to enter different passwords when moving around the resort. The reception closes at 6pm! Why?I What if we had arrived at the resort later than planned? There were times we needed to speak to reception but couldn't as it closed so early - we found this very odd and inconvenient. The food was good but it is a limited menu each day with only 1 or 2 options for vegetarians, which was disappointing. It was also extremely expensive - over double what we paid at every other resort we stayed at (8 in total during this trip). Smoking should be restricted to smoking areas only, not near the pool or the restaurant and certainly not on balconies/terraces, we couldn't use our terrace as someone was always smoking right next to us.The pillows were too large, lumpy and uncomfortable, I requested replacements but they were not much better.

It was most likely the best resort you could get on the island or in that area. The coffee and tea in your room were pleasant, and the free breakfast was great. There was a worldwide selection, but the fresh omelets and bacon were always my go-to. They provided complimentary breakfast sandwiches for the day we left because we would not be there long enough for the buffet. The pizza was better than what we got in Japan, satisfying our craving. The ostrich steak dinner was fabulous! It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. This was the only dinner option we would pay for again. Lotlot, the dive instructor, was very kind and knowledgeable. I appreciated the AC, although finding out how to make it work as intended was hard. I was also happy to have a closed room that did not require a mosquito net, although ants did invade a corner of the room where a bug had laid eggs, and a tarantula visited us one night and later claimed ownership of my water shoes. All of which would have been much worse in cheaper places. The massages were reasonably priced and felt great; my husband got the Swedish, and I had the Filipino massage. Would 100% recommend. They were also so kind to grab us umbrellas after the fact because it was pouring rain. The tricycle drivers were reliable, and we never had a long wait although some charge a little more than others. We were worried that we wouldn't be able to go far enough to enjoy anything, but they recommended Panagsama right away and that was helpful. We celebrated my husband's birthday with a bottle of champagne, which was provided in an ice bucket beside our table. The staff was so sweet to bring him a piece of chocolate cake with his name written in chocolate syrup. That was delightful. There happened to be a small clear spider in my glass who had woven a web at the bottom.

The price for lunch and especially dinner were too much. This made us go visit the town more often. When a private beach was advertised, I expected more soft sand to lay out on rather than a rock cliff, although there were benches in patches of course sand. The benches were locked in one position so that I could not sit up to read my book or drink my beer. I also wish that the shower head was not locked in that one position, as I felt that I had to huddle in the corner to be under the water. The pool is probably nice to have if you have kids, but it did not feel luxury for a couple. I can't quite put my finger on the reason, but maybe it is too small. Strangley enough, we wished the center pool was a hot tub, but we attended in a cooler part of the year, so that might not be true for the rest of the time.

Great resort feel. Quieter post off island away from main strip but close enough

Rooms very clean. Staff very friendly

    7IevgeniiaPosted on: 1-30-2025

Staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming. Dinner was delicious! Beautiful location and facilities (although 15 mins cab ride away from Moalboal!)

I didn’t like that the reception closed at 6pm, and we had no way of getting to Moalboal or ordering a taxi. After 6pm we were stuck in the hotel. The breakfast could have had a better variety, but a dinner menu was fantastic and very yummy! Rooms are quite outdated (not 5 star quality). But overall fantastic place, and I would definitely come back and recommend others to visit!

    9JayveenPosted on: 1-5-2025

Overall, a great place to stay in Moalboal if you're into the quiet, serene, beachfront stay. The availability of the staff anytime (we arrived at almost late night) to accommodate and assist you is commendable at best. Will surely come back once the opportunity arises.

    None so far.

    8KatharinaPosted on: 12-31-2024

Very nice stuff! And a beautiful riff just in front of the resort.

A but expensive for what it offers. The food could be improved and should be more local than westernized food (which isn’t authentic).
