    Pros +

    • The shower, bed and pillows were all amazing. Having the spa area was great. I loved the kangaroos in the garden.
    • We stayed in one of the villas and everything was great. Tucked away in a private corner of the property with our own car park, just a short walk through the gardens to the main building. The breakfast at the dining room both mornings was very good - selected from a menu on the first day, and a continental buffet on the second day. I can't fault anything with our stay - it was all top notch.
    • The facilities were great at Mineral Springs Hotel, with the spa leaving us feeling deeply relaxed. A wonderful, restorative stay and one I fully intend to visit again.

    Cons -

    • It was a buffet style breakfast on a Sunday morning. I thought it was from a menu. I got excited about the breakfast after checking the menu on the website.
    • The bed comfort was not quite what we expected, with a slight sense of irritation that may simply have been a personal sensitivity. The breakfast selection was on the smaller side, though this was a minor consideration overall at Mineral Springs Hotel.
    • restaurant food was disappointing chicken was dry and and flies roaming

room was terrific - clean and spacious, could have some net curtaining for privacy, especially where toilet is situated in the roombig thnak you for the special complimentary cocktail to celebrate our anniversary

Our garden room was nice, the bedroom was roomy, but the bathroom was pretty small. The buffet breakfast on the weekend was very nice, but the weekday a la carte breakfast was excellent. The bar tender in the evening was very friendly, as were all the staff. The location was great and allowed easy on-foot exploration of Hepburn Springs with a very short drive to Daylesford.

We had the cheaper accommodation option, and the more expensive rooms might well have had a larger bathroom. Ours was quite small.

I took my partner away to Hepburn Springs for a couple nights in relation to our 2 year anniversary we had a couple weeks ago. We both enjoyed using the spa bath in our accommodation and breakfast in the mornings was 10/10. The staff were lovely during breakfast time and served our meals wonderfully! Coffee was great and so was the country breakfast.

It was a little disappointing their mineral spa bath was a separate treatment to the booking I paid for. I assumed it was going to be included within my stay and I would have loved to use it with my boyfriend but due to this matter it was pricy to use it otherwise.

The photos on booking.com look good but it was far from that in person

Inside the room was quite messy with hair still on the floor in the bathroom

Love the restored heritage building and the gardens were beautiful.Staff were amazing. Loved the mineral bathing pools and saunas. Nice and peaceful not a lot of people.

Someone was smoking in the accommodations upstairs wasn’t pleasant as we are non smokers.

Room was comfortable, breakfast deliciously presented and coffee was excellent. Dining staff were amazing.

Helpful staff, room cleanliness and great food.

There was a possum or something scratching about in the roof, it kept me awake. There was a dinner/spa deal I wish we had been alerted to before we paid for both things separately.

Loved the quiet stay. We booked the Garden superior room due to the outdoor tub and it was fantastic. The room was spacious, we had a neighbour but they were relatively quiet. The Italian garden was pretty to sit and relax in. Absolutely loved the a la carte breakfast, definitely the highlight. It’s in a good location; close to good eateries, other bathhouses and waterfall hikes. Would highly recommend.

Had a cockroach visitor in the cupboard and they didn’t have bug spray :( Staff did help to get rid of it.

We were surprised by the beauty of the building. Many spacious public spaces to enjoy. The meals were superb. We had both lunch and breakfast. The presentation was outstanding and the food delicious. Our staff interactions at every turn were warm, genuine and very friendly. Everyone seemed to be dedicated to ensuring we were comfortable and taken care of.

Some in our group were disappointed in the shower; apparently low water pressure.

Nice quiet location just out of Daylesford. Neat and welcoming hotel

A bit creaky at night near the stairs, but fine.

    9PaulaPosted on: 1-7-2026

The suite was very comfortable & bigger than we expected. The balcony & views over the hills was lovely.

The carpet on the stairs was a bit worn.

    8DamonPosted on: 1-7-2026

The room was basic but comfortable and the whole hotel had a nice feel to it. Lots of spaces to sit in a group or privately to relax with a drink or a book - or both. Breakfast was very good in a nice dining area.

A little pricey for the room but given it was a late booking for NYE, it was to be expected I suppose. I'd be interested in another short stay, booking further ahead.

Very friendly staff, price, location and the services

We actually loved our stay there

    10AmandaPosted on: 1-6-2026

The staff were lovely. Lots of nice areas to sit inside the hotel that weren't in your room. The hotel room felt quiet. Having the restaurant/bar at the hotel was handy.

As i walked around i didn't seem to notice an elevator to get upstairs at the hotel so if that is a requirement for someone they should check.

Great value for money. We had a great overnight stay with breakfast included. We also visited the mineral spa for bathing, and it was so relaxing. The breakfast was delicious. The room was beautiful and loved the bath in the room. Very relaxing hotel for a weekend away.

The hotel amd spa is looking abit dated but not a huge issue.

A great period hotel with good spa and saunas

The restaurant front of house manager needs to be more flexible - 2 Jan

Comfortable bed and pillows, spacious room and delicious breakfast. Their breakfast is buffet style. To give you details on the day we have choices of bacon, scramble eggs, tomato, mushroom, mini pastries, fresh cut fruits, chia pudding, yoghurt, muesli and cereal and milk, toast and waffle. Coffee or tea made to order at your arrival.Didn’t experience the hot springs unfortunately due to health conditions (pregnant). Beautiful garden and had a chance to see a wild kangaroo there which add bit more of a happy surprise. Overall is a great, calm and serene place. Really goos for a quiet gateway.

Nothing on the property but If I may offer some gentle feedback, the coffee could be improved slightly. We ordered a cappuccino and a latte, and the milk foam was quite bubbly and airy. A silkier, more velvety texture would have been preferable. The coffee itself also leaned a little towards the bitter/sour side.Additionally, due to pregnancy-related health considerations, I’m unable to have scrambled eggs served on the runny side. When I asked if a more fully cooked egg could be made to order, unfortunately this wasn’t possible. It would be wonderful if this could be accommodated in the future, especially for guests with dietary or health needs.
