Just 492 feet from Fira’s main square, Golden Star offers affordable accommodations close to all tourist facilities and public means of transport. It features an outdoor pool with hydromassage facilities and a sun terrace with sun loungers. Each of the rooms at Golden Star Hotel is well-furnished and appointed with Greek paintings, a satellite, flat-screen TV and a fridge. Golden Star guests may also benefit from the free parking space, the free wireless internet and the pc that is available for use at the reception. Shuttle service is available upon charge. The impressive caldera with the famous Santorini sunset lies within a 15-minute walk from the hotel. Fira’s vibrant main square, local shops and traditional restaurants and bars are within easy reach.

- The hotel is very clean and looks new. The room upstairs with balcony has the best sunrise view. In my opinion, it is even better than watching the sunset in Oia (from the overcrowded viewing decks). Rooms are cleaned everyday with new linen provided daily as well. The staff are all very cheerful and helpful. They were able to help us extend our stay for a good rate when our flight was cancelled and we had to stay another night. They provided complimentary water and coffee for the first day and guests can buy more if desired. The hotel is near the central part of Fira town centre, where lots of restaurants and shops are. It is also just about 5 mins walk to bus station, where all buses go through. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in in Fira.
