The Islander Noosa Resort

We had a spacious apartment with excellent cooking facilities. The air conditioner worked well and the bed was comfortable. The swimming pool was good, although mostly inhabited by small people who didn't worry too much about the rules

Unit layout and size. Issue with garage door only opening from inside unit. this is poor and led to us locking ourselves out of the unit.

Great location, surrounded by places to eat ranging from high end to good value, and supermarket only 3 minute walk. All the bot hire and fishing within a quick walk.Houses are all you need. Pools exceptional - multiple options, great space, never felt busy. The BBQ area next to the main pool a great place to use.Perfect place for families, all you could need.Bus stop across the road to take you to beach to avoid the parking nightmares at busy times of year.

House we had had 5 TVs! But only one was a smart TV, and one only played the radio!Only an issue on the odd wet day so very minor but would hve been nice for the kids to have a place to hang and watch TV.

We have stayed here for years with no issue. This time upon entering the property there was an awful stench coming from the drains, aircon was not working in the bedroom and the dishwasher was not working. We slept in the lounge under the aircon. ?‍♀️ Clearly management already knew about these issues as they had contractors come in to look at the problems before we even told them. Why we were even put in a room if they knew things weren’t working? Once i informed them of our issues they advised us to come in to reception the following day as they would like to offer us a voucher. When we did go in we were informed that it wasn’t available and they would email it to us. Well that never happened despite me telling them we never received it. This whole experience put a damper on our holiday. Over the years we have referred family and friends, we won’t be returning nor will I ever recommend The Islander again. Disappointing service to say the least. Do better!

Amazing and welcoming staff, especially when we had difficulties signing in to our tv service. Helpful and accommodating staff make everything else just seem so easy. Property is wonderful and so much for children to do

The major positive for this place was the location. It is in a perfect position to access many great cafes, restaurants and shops, plus the beautiful riverfront area with walkways, children's playground, and other facilities. The resort seemed well maintained with a beautiful pool and spa area and clean surrounds and gardens.There were DVDs to borrow from reception and the staff were mainly helpful and friendly. The accommodation was spacious and the kitchen seemed to have everything needed, although we didn't cook there.

Many things could have been better.....On entering our accomodation, there was an overwhelming smell of bleach. We needed to air out the whole place for several hours. We also discovered that we had no towels. We went back to reception to ask, only to be told that they hadn't arrived back yet from the laundry. We asked about pool towels and were told we could pay to hire them for our stay. Surely a kind gesture would be to give pool towels free in lieu of bath towels.The beds were hard and not very comfortable with minimal bedding and pillows, and outdated bedspreads. There were stains on both bedroom carpets. The couch was uncomfortable. The internal bathroom door knob fell off every time we opened it. The front outside light didn't work. The tv channels didn't work at all. There was a hole in the wall at the base of the stairs that should have been patched up. Our key fob didn't work to let us in or out the sliding doors and we needed to get it attended to. On arrival there were six police entering a room for unknown reasons. That plus the warning signs to always key lock doors had us feeling we were in an unsafe area.Overall we felt the amount charged was excessive for this average accommodation. We had just come from Maleny where we spent significantly less for a much better accommodation and experience plus an included cooked breakfast.

It’s got a lovely resort feel and the pools are beautiful. I like having a self-contained unit so we can make our own food. And I like that there is free car parking and Wi-Fi as well. The staff are very unintrusive. In fact we barely saw any. This is our third visit and we keep coming back because the facilities are really good. And the newly renovated bathroom was lovely.

At times it got overwhelming with big groups of young children taking over the pool, scooting around the facilities and yelling from quite early in the morning. On the positive side, there are a couple of additional more private pools you can go to to get away from the big family groups that do take over.

Excellent resort for a 3 day break, the swimming pools were great and fairly warm, the whole place was very clean and the ground staff kept everything in order. Definitely recommend this resort.

Great set up for a family holiday. Good location near restaurants, with easy access by bus or ferry to Hastings Street.

Pool layout with bridge. Fun for the kids. Excellent location, close to rivet, supermarket and restaurants. Car parked next to apartment.

Rooms very dated and spartan. Tiny vanity unit in bathroom. No space to sit anything. No air conditioning just fans. Online description of what was included in apartment stated 'toiletries'. We had one small tube of shampoo and conditioner only, for four people.

Great having a ground floor unit with a toddler. The pools are great and the staff are very helpful

The unit seemed very dated, all the furnishings could do with a spruce up. Outdoor furniture was worn out. Could do with a new mattress for the master, and some better linen. Knives were blunt so try cutting a tomato. Never enough crockery to cook for a family. TV had a mind of its own at times but turning it off at the wall and on again fixed it. The unit itself is tiered and needs revamp. For the money $$$$ we paid i would expect more.

Good location, swimming pool was great for evening chill, had all we needed. Washing machine and dryer were good too!

Reception hours quite short but we did not really need.

Pools are great. Location is easy to walk to restaurants and shops.
