- Beautiful View; mountains, sea, islands. The perfect place to relax and enjoy nature, food and hospitality.Absolutely great restaurant and great serviceEverybody smiling and doing their best to assure us the greatest experienceOn a scale of 1 to 10 our experience was an 11 !
- Absolutly perfect staff, very nice breakfast (specialty omelette), very delicious dinners (specially deserts). Very nice and quietly pools, charging EV vehicles for free (7 kW), covered parking, hotel°s app for iOS with possibility to order room service
Cons -
- A lot of ants in the room, towels in the room were the worst condition I have ever seen in a 5* hotel, poor wifi with frequent dropouts, beach club in the quality of a 3* hotel.
- There was nothing that I didn't like, it was alll gorgeous.
- Reception people were not helpful. Every question we asked about beaches we were told to “google it”. Thankfully I speak Italian and could google and read the Italian website but for an apparent five star hotel to be told to “book yourself” for a restaurant, receive no restaurant recommendations to explore the island and basically be told to “google” anything we asked them for was really not pleasant. In addition to this they are of course not by the beach( which we knew) but they had told us when we booked in that they had a connection at the beach club and would be happy to book us a seat. Usually at a five star this does not come at an additional cost but it is assumed you will buy food and drinks there and have a seat ( which we did) and if there is a payment they usually would tell you that- this did not happen- at checkout they had added an extra cost for the sunbeds of €50 ( we could have gone to any beach and gotten out own sunbeds for much less). Anyway, the final straw was when I returned home and found that I had travelled with a bag full of ants. Honestly a pretty hotel but not 5 stars at all ( except for Paolo who is great)

The room was lovely, we had a gorgeous balcony with a sea view. They call this hotel a retreat and it's certainly feels like that when you arrive. The 3 pools were stunning. We had dinner the first night in the restaurant which was outstanding. Breakfast was also fabulous as it was served at the table and you got fruit, bakery assortment, cheese and meats, any kind of eggs, orange juice, the list goes on. Just fabulous we loved it. Also the staff were lovely and always there to help with recommendations for beaches and restaurants.

We really like Paolo! His Wine and food suggestions were great and his welcoming and kind demeanor was so appreciated. He even made sure we tasted the local Bottarga before leaving! We also really enjoyed the pools and spa which had a wonderful setup. The person at the bar and the spa were also very kind ( forgot her name sorry).

Li Finistreddi is a pure gem in the heart of the Sardinian countryside. With a panoramic view of the sea, it is a modern, tastefully designed hotel with fine dining, and exceptional facilities, especially the pools. Within easy reach of Olbia airport and lots of nearby interesting archeological sites. Eduardo, with his love of great wines, and his colleagues made our stay particluarly memorable. Excellent luxury location set in the hills and countryside above Cannigone.
Nothing!
Li Finistreddi is an oasis of peace and luxury. If you are looking for a place to 'get away from it all' and where you can sit back and be pampered and waited on then this is the place for you. It has amazing views down to the sea from every room as well as from the garden and the restaurant. The service is truly exceptional and the spa area and the gym are well equipped. The whole complex is extremely clean and well looked after.
The attached gourmet restaurant offers fine dining. The dishes are quite extravagant and might not be to everybody's taste. I don't think that this hotel is suitable for children.
The grounds of the hotel are beautifully landscaped creating a total oasis. The way the hotel is built is very thoughtful to ensure a spectacular view from every room. During our short stay we enjoyed the pools and the sauna in the spa. Breakfast was amazing. The rooms were comfortable and the staff professional and welcoming. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!
Everything was perfect. The one thing I didn’t like is the cool/white energy efficient lights in the room - the white lights always remind me of an office or a hospital. The warm/yellow lights would have made the room cozier.
the food was lovely.!!!
the price of the room. we had a private swimmingpool ( teh smal one)in low season 1 mei , the pice was to much.
Such a lovely stay, with the kindest staff. We had such a nice time and felt so looked after. Beautiful grounds, pool and spa!
All amazing!
The place, their staff are in every detail and Eduardo and his colleagues looked after us during our whole stay. Also the tennis court, swimming pool area, gym, the room! Everything was up to standard. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Location very Good,Comfort very nice ,Spa Excellent.Breakfast Quality very good.
Very limited lunch and Dinner options.Service was hit and Miss,Spa Excellent, younger waiting staff excellent.Ambience a little Stiff, needs to lighten up a little
Great location rooms are comfortable.
Facilities by upper pool little outdated
Very quiet, beautiful views. Food is excellent.
Beautiful spa hotel tucked away in the secluded hills around Cannigione. Staff were friendly and helpful, with a very nice high-end restaurant attached to the hotel with great views. The spa facilities were a particular highlight, with steam rooms, sauna, jacuzzi and massages available. Good place to relax away from the world.
It is VERY difficult to leave this hotel and explore. They can arrange a super high-end exclusive taxi for you, but the taxi charges minimum EUR 60 to go anywhere (even 10 minutes away to a nearby vineyard). They do run shuttles to nearby Cannigione and a private beach club, but the last shuttle back is at 6pm to encourage you to come back to eat dinner in the hotel restaurant which isn't cheap.Generally prices are very high when you are in the hotel as well - EUR 10 dollars for toast if you want that in addition to the breakfast (!), EUR 10 dollars a bottle of beer, EUR 18 if you want aperitivo snacks with your cocktail (which are usually free elsewhere in Italy) etc.
Fabulous views over the sea from a high location in the countrysideNice rooms and great facilities
Nothing really- the short 5 min drive up a twisty small road from Cannigione village is off putting the first time you do it but you get used to it quickly.
The staff were very friendly. the location was lovely. The grounds are really well kept. The bartender made extremely high quality cocktails. much better than one would normally expect at this type of establishment. the food was generally really good.at the start of the season this part of Sardinia was very quiet. the weather was mixed so we didn’t have the chance to enjoy the pool.
the property had just reopened for the season and there were some teething issues with the staff: getting orders wrong, mistranslations on the menus etc. all in all they were lovely though.
we wanted to enjoy end of season time out and we got what we wanted. the hotel has only few guests and it was very quiet and enjoyed our stayhighlights: -it is in great location ( secluded ) with stunning view. - we got room upgrade- we got late check out 13:30- we got one hour free spa access- nice welcome drink
for 5 star hotel the food was good but not extra ordinary. we had the breakfast and dinner at the hotel - dinner was good and they are accommodating for requests and allergies - breakfast : you get al carte menu ( showing what is including the breakfast room rate & what is extra ) I think the extras are too highly priced for what you get. example: I ordered pancakes and I got one small piece very thick for 10€my general experience for same order at same rate you get at least 2 pieces and better prepared. but for me personally it was not an issue as general experience in Italy ( non Italian food is less quality vs. price if you manage to find it) if you are picky about sugar intake like myself it is generally hard in Italy but in this hotel was also hard to get any pastries for example without sugar coating !
Fantastic, Fantastic, Fantastic, the staff could not do enough for us, attentive and friendly with a family welcome, top marks for the service levels all round, faultless and a keen eye to attention to detail. The hotel was spotless at all times with lovey grounds, facilities and swimming pools.
The suite we stayed in was marketed as sound proof, this is not the case, closing of wardrobes next door, moving a chair next door or noise from the housekeeping service area boomed though or room.
