- The location, the peace , the tranquility, the wonderful building, the history , the friendly staff, the fabulous continental breakfast, the individual uniqueness of the single room.A different kind of stay - one that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Cons -
- The check in automate was tge the problem since nor us nor the next client had not received the checkin code. The lady at the phone was also very agressive. It was obviously not the first time.
- Very small room and bathroom. Though it was the cheapest solution in the area, so worth it
- The computerized automated check- in machine was a bit wonky, but finally got it to work.Seemed to glitch on a two number 5s in a row .Maybe it was me. Would like a kettle for hot water as kitchen is off limits between 8-11 unless you order the breakfast.I still love the place!

Not much at all. The checking in machine is a bit daunting. I tried to follow the Spanish directions but in the end I had to give up and switch to English.I'd read a few reviews before I came and one said to bring your own water, drinks and snacks as there is nowhere anywhere near to buy them. There is a small bar in the hotel grounds but it wasn't open very often.
The location on top of the mountain with a view over the bay of Pollenca was fantastic. Driving up the narrow road to the old church provides instant relief and peacefulness. Parking is easy, walking around the building is charming, nice park benches and a great view. I ordered a vegetarian breakfast the night before and it was fabulous. Not too much, some regional fruits and some cheese for the bread and the croissant plus an orange juice and a tea. Like-minded, calm people you could talk to and they even offered some of their food in the community kitchen area. The small, minimalistic room was fine for me, as well. Getting around with a car was easy. A few minutes to Alcudia beach and Pollenca beach and also to Formentor it's only about 30 minutes.
The shower was really small and since it's an old building without AC and small windows, the moisture is hard to get out of the room. So rather high humidity in the room.
The outdoor space was beautiful, great view, quiet location and very clean. Has a restaurant on site, which is convenient due to location outside of town.
The check in process, the rooms are small and sparse, neighbours were loud.
No contact with staff, room was way to small for the price also the facilities were dated and could be renovated, the room also had such an intense smell of a sort of air freshener it was unbareable. It is so sad because it is a beautiful building, but for the price you would expect a better stay.
The forest around is SO SO SO beautiful. Great walk up if you want to walk it, you can see goats and cats, there is also some places to swim if you go down the hill - like 20 mins walk. Room and bathroom was decent.
Guests cannot access the kitchen 7:30 til 11:30 unless you have paid for the breakfast but this doesn't make sense because check out is at 11am, I wasn't able to warm up something in the microwave but anyway. Check in was a little annoying as I couldn't get into the building but thankfully some people were on their way in and they let me in, then the self check in is just fine. If you are staying here remember to bring some food because there is only 2 small places to get food next to the hostel!
The stay was nice , it is a really unique place. There are many possibilities to go trekking. The staff was very friendly. The room is simple, but nice. I liked it.
The communication with the owner via email was not good. There are very strict rules - you may not sit at the tables or enter the kitchen from 7.30 till 1030 (or 11.30) during the breakfast time., if you haven't booked a breakfast And there is no table in the room. And The tables in the corridor were empty. To my question if I at least use the table , he would not answer. He said nobody has complained before. But all guests with whom i spoke found the rules too strict. The people are on vacation and want to relax and not to get up before 7.30 to get to the refrigerator. You could put one into the corridor for this case. I found it not guest friendly.
Partly location (beside you have to drive to top of hill) / hiking / walking area / viewGood restoraunt nearby (bit pricey but view and food is good)Good polite staffEnough good breakfastEasy check in/outEnough parking in front of hotel (at least when not too much tourists)
Not clean good (acceptable but not good)Too small rooms (no space for anything but to sleep)Not anyhow soundproof rooms (can hear kids and people screeming all morning , not good for people who want to relax and sleep little bit more than 7am when kids start screaming)Shower water pressure (hot/warm) is badPillows and bed not confortable
Unique acomodation in old original bulding and scenic location. The room was quite spacious and comfy with nice viev.
Great location, calm and close to nature and very nice hiking trails.
Breakfast wasn't very satisfying for the price. Our room had a very tiny window which was not enough to let daylight in or to ventilate.
The location was exceptional. The bed was comfortable. Common area had everything we needed.
I've been in automated hotels, but this was from far the worse self check-in I've ever experienced. If you manage to check-in you get a room number but rooms have no number so you don't know where to go. Then, you realise the room are the little doors in the cafeteria, in the middle of the common area. This means you hear literally everything. From my bed I had a dinner with a family late at night and I woke up with another one getting ready at 5 am. The room was also extremely small. There was no room for my luggage!!! In addition, my room was incredibly hot and the settings of the heat were inverted. It's fine, it can happen, but as there s no staff there s no way to get any help. The chatbot was telling me to call a number, the number was telling me to chat with the bot. I was stuck in a loop. After 3 attempts, someone finally answered and told me they will see what they can do and call back, I ve never heard from them again. The room had a extremely small window, that's okay as well but I couldn't lower the temperature.I feel bad to leave such a low review because everything could have met my exceptions if the price was much lower, and it was clearly explain on the description what to expect. I could have enjoyed it if I were well prepared, and if it weren't that expensive and if someone helped me out.
A truly stunning location.Small but comfortable room.Excellent breakfast.Friendly service
The ATM check in machine! Very difficult to use! Key pads needed so much pressure to actually input anything. (that said the 24 hour access for check in very welcome!)As expected a tiny toilet room and a separate free standing shower cubicle in the bedroom. All ok with us but I'm not sure would be to everyones liking!
Location fabulous. Beautiful historic building.Breakfast was superb
Lack of staff at check in.Twin beds booked made up as a double , changed it ourselves.
We absolutely love this property’s quiet, peaceful beauty.
The bed was not comfortable at all. We did not sleep well, and had issues with our backs.
Shabby, hot and no air
- very hot, - not enough air, - no ventilation in the whole room nor in bathroom - shabby, smelly- no customer friendly- unwilling to find a solution
The area of this place is amazing - high, quiet and picturesque, away from the hustle and bustle of tourists. Beautiful sunset view, nearest lovely restaurant. The hotel resembles a castle inside. The kitchen is fully equipped. Room with bathroom, hairdryer, clean and tidy. A very convenient check out check in system. Safe access to the code.
It’s located in a beautiful area however taxis refuse to go up this mountain
The check in is not with an actual person. It is a machine that give you the key.
A historic building in a fabulous location, breakfast was good and the staff that came in to serve it were friendly. This is a very unique place to stay, with no other hotels near by which is exactly what we love, right on trail system with a walkable beach.
I am never a fan of the auto-check in. We had trouble with the machine accepting our child's passport but likely not a lot of kids stay here. The owner was responsive but I would prefer to have a human to deal with. I think if you arrive before a certain time, you can deal with a human. Fortunately some very nice Mallorcans helped us.
