Hotel Riu Arecas - Adults Only

The staff are grate they make you feel important. The lady that cleaned are room was so nice and did it so well. Everything was so clean and the food was grate and the service in the dining hall was also grate. Everything at RIU Arecas was 10/10Thank you for making our holiday so grate.

Location perfect. Dinner good, breakfast no so good.

There were cockroaches in the bathroom. I ordered a single bed and it was a double bed.

Everything exceeded our expectations! Spacious rooms, delicious dinner, and a beautiful beach club just a few meters from the sea. The staff were super friendly, attentive, and always ready to help.

The staff is super friendly, and the food is great — tasty, varied, and plenty of it. The beach club is the highlight: comfy, with lots of umbrellas and a small pool facing the sea. Since it’s adults-only, it’s mostly quiet and relaxed. We also loved the courtesy bathroom after check-out — super handy for late flights.

The rooms are really basic, not what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel. Pillows were uncomfortable, sheets had stains, and there was no duvet. The TV didn’t have Netflix, and drinks weren’t included with dinner — not soft drinks, which was surprising. The reception area looked really old and outdated.

We appreciated the helpful staff and courtesy of early check-in. The buffet dinner and breakfast were very good.

Poolside lounge chairs could be nicer.

Loved the location, staff very friendly, facilities good and clean, there was a lot of choice with the food but for the money I was very disappointed with the veg, potatoes and chips were great but most of the veg was frozen, hard and inedible, for a 4 star I thought this was bad .

Very good range of offerings at breakfast and dinner. Well located for the beach and beachside walks. Staff were very welcoming and very helpful. Cleaning and maintenance teams were first rate. Plenty of sun loungers throughout the day (this was early March). Good beach side bars.

Very busy at meal times.

Very clean hotel, quiet at night when sleeping. Staff are exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Loved the pool with the beach and the beach bar there. Pools were lovely. Entertainment at night very good. Good variety of food at breakfast and dinner.

The reception area/lounge area was a bit open and decor was a bit bland and cold.

The beach club was beautiful. The Ole Restaurant was very good Restaurant staff were great.

I was bullied, intimidated and harassed by a pool member of staff. I immediately reported this to i I I Management who could have and should have done more to help. He offered the explanation the member of staff was “problematic” and they had complaints before. He asked me to email the complaints team as RIU. I stated I no longer wished to stay at the hotel due to the incident as felt embarrassed and uncomfortable to continue my stay.

Exclusively 65+ year olds, I didn't realise adults only meant pensioners only. I was the youngest by 30 years

The buffet was amazing - an incredible selection of delicious food. Friendly staff and great pools.

There is no laundry service over the weekend (not possible to leave laundry there on Friday while checking in and get it back until Monday at noon (only if you pay an express charge which means youpay double (for example 2 x EUR 4.- for just one shirt :-)). Should definitely be mentionned (also on booking.com) that this service is only offered during the week.

We arrived late, so the reception looked after our bags while we went into the restaurant before it closed. A great balcony with a sea view was good too.

Another towel for drying wifes hair was mentioned, but no real problem.

Friendly and helpful staff. Amazing selection of food at breakfast and dinner. White Party on Friday for hotel guests and processo for breakfast were nice surprise Beach is 2 min away, local supermarket in walking distance. Fridge in the room. Access to 3 pools. We had a great time here and definately will be back.

When we arrived they mixed up who is in which room, but it was quickly rectified. There was only 1 chair at the balcony and small low table . We had to ask to bring the second one. TV did not have many channels in English. Pool closes quite early, I wish they would extend that time a bit.

Beach club by the sea is really nice and should be mentioned also here on booking, I didn’t know it existed

Food quality is really bad, doesn’t meet expectation of a 4 stars hotel. My suggestion is to improve the dinner quality especially (pasta, pizza and desserts were uneatable)

Spacious and in a nice and quiet area. The food was really good every night and the staff here is outstanding.

Entertainment at night could be improved.
