Pros +
- The man at the front desk went above and beyond. I was tired from travel and locked myself out of my room and also left my phone downstairs. He came through each time in a friendly and kind manner. Loved the pillow here and the bed was very comfortable too. Nice breakfast buffet too, filled with classic Japanese food
- We chose this hotel for the location, right at the end of the Main st so we could walk to the shrine and visit the local restaurants and shops. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and more if you walk a little further. The staff were very friendly, with plenty of Manga, drinks, and snacks in the lobby. There was a fridge in the room which is always great when traveling.
- Our family stayed in this type of hotel in Tokyo at UENO, therefore we expected the same type of hotel / room. The staff was very nice, the room fullfilled our expectation. Only one thing a little disappointed us, the mattress had a dent in the middle. Therefore, if there is more people in the bed, they keep sinking into the middle. The bathroom was just what we needed, had body wash, shampoo, hairdrier, so we could have a comfortable bath.
Cons -
- It’s a little older, so a few minor stains. No big deal though
- The rooms were nothing special, very outdated and plain, and the bathrooms were tiny, and smelled like old urine but not the worst.
- The hot bath is for men only during weekdays which is very unfair to the ladies. My wife and daughter were unable to use it at all, such a shame.

Good facilities, helpful staff, comfortable, good breakfast and location. Free bikes are great too.

Nice onsen inside, breakfast good, location very good. They have nice viewroom to watch mt.Fuji
Booking changed my room from no smoking to smoking when it prompted me to get breakfast included. Smoking room smelled bad, walls were dirty, first room had broken window handle so I requested room change. Second room socket cover fell off after I closed window for the night. Even after whole day with open window I got strong alergic reaction and ended up bedridden for one day. When I was packing my things before leave I found dirty bedsheets under the bed that were not mine. Overal it was my worst hotel experience in Japan
I love the welcoming bar and the breakfast of the hotel. The welcoming bar start from 16 end at 23, the most attractive things is they got whiskey and Shōchū for free. Also the scramble egg and daily specials of the breakfast is very delicious.
