    Cons -

    • Unless you are coming by car or taxi, very hard to reach for this hotel. They got 2 entrance routes, one is close rather early so beware of it.The bathroom is very old so sometimes it made some noises.
    • The room was too warm. I wanted to lower the temperature, but it was too difficult.
    • Our room was outdated.

The service was exceptional, the breakfast was delicious, the open-air hot-springs pool was great, and the room was specious.

    Our room was outdated.

The hotel offers breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji from the rooms, onsen, restaurant, and outdoor areas. In addition to the stunning scenery, it’s very conveniently located near Lake Yamanaka, making it easy to enjoy the lake’s activities and sightseeing. Perfect for a relaxing getaway with both natural beauty and accessibility.

I like the service stuff and people. They went out of their way to offer us a good value

The location of the property is bit remote and shuttle buses run very infrequently. So, I recommend people to stay closer to Ashigaoko bus terminal if you would like to explore around.

A spacious onsen with various baths and a sauna + a beautiful scenic onsen. A spacious, clean room with comfortable beds. An incredible view of Mt. Fuji!

There aren't enough seats for dinner in the restaurants, and the only option left is a very expensive (though not bad) buffet. Overall, there was a feeling that the food didn't match the price, both at breakfast and dinner.

The room was great. It was on the fifth floor with a great view of the mountain. Unfortunately, we didn’t see it due to weather, but it was great. Very soft and comfy beds, very clean bathroom. The room doesn’t look new, but looks very well taken care of. The Onsen was another highlight — absolutely amazing place. Very quiet, not too crowded. Great facilities, sauna options and even a cold Onsen. In November the outdoor Onsen in a must.

The staff. The reception staff was very rude, asking for an unnecessary payment and saying that he won’t let us in otherwise. After thirty minutes of bickering, he realized it was his fault and didn’t even apologize. The staff doesn’t look presentable. I know it’s not the most important detail, but nonetheless — they had dirty hair and didn’t have good manners. I would not recommend. Another flaw was breakfast. First of all we had to stand in line for fourth minutes, which never previously happened in my hotel experience. Second, the choices were pretty slim. The dinner option was overpriced, we decided not to go.

Very isolated, if you don’t have car. Definitely beautiful views of Mt.Fuji. Far away from Mt. Fuji attractions

Should not welcome English speakers. Their English language skills are very poor. Had to use google translate to communicate. Not staff fault.

The view is amazing - even if you cannot see Mount Fuji, you can still see the lake yamanaka. We literally just sat on the sofa for 2 hours doing nothing but looking outside and enjoying some personal time. We also enjoyed the trail in the backyard.

They still use carpet in the room which is not that clean - it seems there are still some food dirt on the carpet which is so hard to clean, but you can overcome this just by wearing a slipper. We also didn't experience the Onsen because it's public and you cannot wear swimsuits.

    10RebeccaPosted on: 9-8-2025

The stay was absolutely perfect! Great facilities, great food, great staff, great view. We were lucky that Fuji was entirely visible, but it would've been a great experience either way.

You have to call for shuttle service to bring you to the location. That is a bit of a hassle for people who do not have call data in Japan as a tourist. It would've been nice, if there had been a nearby payphone or another way to contact the hotel that didn't require me to call.

The onsen with a view of Fuji was amazing. Buffet breakfast was great!

A little dates decor and felt at time empty and no atmosphere.

The hotel was in an excellent location with a perfect view of Mount Fuji and the lake. The service was courteous and professional. The breakfast was excellent with a rich selection. The hotel has an onsen (not tattoo-friendly).The tatami room was excellent and very spacious, with a balcony overlooking the view. The double room was spacious, but the bathroom and shower were very small, and there was no balcony.Highly recommended for a stay in the Mount Fuji area.

Great hotel, the stuff are super nice and helpful. Family friendly. The hotel is big, clean, great onsen. The rooms are spacious, and the bed is comfortable. All floors in the hotel and tooms are covered with rugs so if you have allergies take it into consideration. They have a restaurant and went out of their way to make sure they had vegetarian options for us. The breakfast buffet had various of options, and was delicious. The only critique i have is that they serve dumplings which they write to be made of only wheat, milk and egg, so we though its vegetarian, but it had pork inside. Hopefully they will change it.The hotel is up a hill so they have a shuttle to go down to the bus station. I would recommend renting a car instead.

Awesome views of Mt Fuji. Quiet location. Perfect if you are driving.

Hotel is dated but rich in history.

    8JessicaPosted on: 1-25-2025

Rooms were a good size, beds were comfortable, bath option. Onsen facilities, restaurant options, souvenir shops and view of Mount Fuji was exceptional. Lots of parking options. Location is great as Lake Yamanako is less touristy than other surrounding lakes and has everything you need, lots of Kombini options nearby and fun lake activities even during winter - loved the swan boats!

A little old and outdated decor. Pillows were a little hard - it’s ok we had our own!

    10YiPosted on: 1-21-2025

Very spacious room and super pretty view of Mt Fuji. The onsen was great, went there at night and again in the morning!

The water temperature in the shower fluctuates between hot and cold.

We stayed only one night but it was very lovely place to stay. We loved the room as well as Onsen. The view of Mount Fuji is stunning. We even woke up to enjoy sunrise. We had partial view of Mt. Fuji from our room. We had dinner in the french restaurant and the food was delicious. Also, we had many kinds of food for breakfast. I would love to stay again next time.

The hotel was little bit far from the train station but we enjoyed our stay. It was little bit noisy in Onsen but otherwise the view was breathtaking. The hotel is quite old but we had no issues with that.
