Not informed about fireworks upon check-in. We could have planned to go and check it out.
Location was perfect, it accommodated our extra guest with lots of room, free sake in the lobby was appreciated, overall we had a wonderful stay.
Excellent host. Yoko was extremely attentive and top notch. Food was excellent, the bar was a nice touch. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.
Nothing to complain about
The breakfast was both traditional and enjoyable with a wide assortment of things to try. I quite enjoyed myself.
Photos of the room showed western style chairs for relaxing in the background, but our room only had on-floor seating which was a bit uncomfortable for me.
Breakfast normal and location good.
Surrounding very beautiful and easy to access.
Location was nice.
Bad smell in the room that did not go away. They charge some petty money for the onsen use, in contrary to other ryokans. Breakfast is not good either.
Perfect Location. Right by Kawaguchiko Lake. Next to 24h Lawson. Walking distance to rope way and boat ramp. We got the room with no view.
This hotel uses dynamic pricing heavily. Price vary a lot for each day. If you book in advance, it dose not guarantee the best rate and the price adjust often. Booking.com has price drop protection. However, it apply to "future booking". If you want to safe money now, you have to cancel and rebook. Hotel is old. We got the room with no view. No hotel shuttle available before check in time. No english speaking rep before check in time.
Customer service, hot spring, location
The staff are wonderful. The true ryokan experience was exceptional. It is a must to add the dinner option, simply exquisite!
The only thing that could be better is to have a Mount Fuji view but the place is a real gem. The staff are amazing.
the location is superb with lake view. I experienced tranquility which becomes my priority.
the breakfast portion needs to be revisited. The staff are helpful, however needs to be more fluent in english and descriptive with directions, where to go, what to see. Perhaps hiring more younger people with english capability will help. the folding bed is a bit stiff which was not maximised the quality of sleep in our case.
Got to experience Japanese traditions such as wearing a yukata, enjoying an onsen, and enjoying a Japanese breakfast. Location was also a nice walk to the Mt.Fuji ropeway and lake. Reading past reviews it does seem likethey’ve upgraded some of their facilities and are not rushing their foreign tourists anymore during breakfast.
There was no A/C had to open a window to escape the heat. I had to research general onsen rules on my own only to find that there was rules inside the onsen itself.
Great location, clean, nice and friendly staff, good rooms.
My teenage kids and mom/dad had a great time with the traditional Japanese lifestyle both with the breakfast and using the onsen. Great experience engaging in the culture, the whole reason for international travel. Thank you for the hospitality.
Not much comes to mind, we really enjoyed the stay.
Clean room, fantastic onsen facilities. Professional staff. Very good room cleaning service. Responded to my many queries online prior to arrival, which was useful. Great that they have drop off and pick up service from Kawaguchiko station.
Meal plan was fairly pricey, however lots of shops close early or are far away from the ryokan.
The shuttle service provided with very good for guests. Hotel onsen does not provide extra towels. Location besides the lake is a plus. Good ramen restaurant within 5 mins from the back of hotel !
real nice traditional Japanese room. Very big
At the time of our trip, the big onsen was closed for maintenance. they offered shuttle service to another onsen.
Japonzse experience was very nice. Breakfast was typical and good.
Internet connection was not good.
Everything was perfect! Location, staff, japanese breakfast.
