The staff was fantastic, and the location was wonderful. Each room has a view of Lake Kawaguchi and was extremely comfortable.

Amazing views!

The hotel and staff were lovely! They were so thoughtful and surprised my husband and I with a sweet gesture for our anniversary and card. The room and onsen were both a great to use. The food while they had told us it wasn’t a restaurant their options were many and worked perfectly for us.

I do feel for those that are not able to walk inclined, recommend you always get a car. The location is fantastic for walking but you do need to go up a steep walk but it’s manageable if you don’t have any issues.

Room had an amazing view of the lake. The robes and onsen was a real treat. The front doors lead to hiking path with open views of Mt Fuji. The food was abundant, delicious, with great variety.

The staff could be friendlier. Check out is 10 AM no exceptions. The onsen closes at 10 AM which makes it impossible to use on check out day.

The location is great, wonderful views. The lounge was a very nice addition with afternoon and morning service.Within excellent variety of food and drinks. The staff were excellent. You can book the private onsen with amazing views. I will return and do recommend staying there. There is an exceptional Kimono museum in the area.

Would not change anything.

The staff was very attentive and helpful throughout our entire stay. The rooms were clean and spacious. The atmosphere was relaxed and the views of the lake were amazing.

Beautiful views. We loved the traditional Japanese baths and complimentary breakfast, tea, and cocktail service. Good value for a relaxing vacation.

Absolutely beautiful location. The view from our room and the onsen were amazing. We loved the breakfast, tea time, and cocktail time!! So many choices! Cozy and charming. Loved the lounge area. So peaceful and relaxing.

The bathroom was not clean. The keypad on the toilet had not been cleaned and the bathroom had mold. The mattresses were too hard.

The view was spectacular. It would be better if we have extended our stay there. Breakfast, hightea and cocktails were included in our stay. Free coach/bus transport between nearest train station and accomodation via text booking, which made transport very convenient.

More variety of food options for breakfast would be great.

Serene hotel overlooking Kawaguchiko. Great staff. Room is specious and our daughter has a comfortable futon as an extra bed. Ensuit Bathrtom is well appreciated and modern. The snack time at 5 pm-7 pm turn out great and can be called dinner. They served wide range of Japanese food to western food. Small portion of fresh sashimi , hot and cold food. Wine, Spirits, Coffee, tea. Very impressive. Breakfast was delicious. Onsen is sizable one and very clean, open from 2 pm to 10 am so you can go any time during the night … there should quiet time that you can find onsen to yourself ?. Recommend this place

Staffs, Services, View, and lounge

The lounge food was amazing. It was tasty and filling.

The location was a bit far from everything. The room i had didn’t really have a good view of the lake.

Clean, kind staff, good amenities

Rakuyu surprised us from the moment we walked into the hotel. Beautiful lounge area overlooking Lake Kawaguchiko. The staff are so accommodating, picking us up from the train station whenever we requested. The room was absolutely massive and always neatly made everyday. The best surprise is they have 2-hour cocktail hour every day with 'light meals', but it was the size of a dinner buffet. The atmosphere is amazing and staff and guests are always so respectful of each other.

The view was gorgeous and the meal service was good too! It’s also located in walking distance to the Mt. Fuji cable car, which we really enjoyed.

Incredible place, sizable rooms, stunning views, great breakfast

The view from Rakuyu is simply beautiful, there is no Mt Fuji view, but the lake and the surrounding hills are just as good.Our room was an excellently presented "modern" Japanese styled Apartment that is much bigger than the pictures suggest with more than enough storage for any travelers luggage.Having a private 2 person Onsen to ourselves was a delight, we didn't even use the public ones.They included Breakfast, Afternoon Tea and a Light Dinner as part of the accommodation, which we didn't expect.

The sound proofing of the room was inadequate. We could just about listen in on our neighbour's conversations and their movement was always audible.

A gym with exercise equipments would be a great addition to the onsen facilities.
