    • The staff! The staff in this hotel are outstanding! They go out of the way to accommodate you. A great experience!
    • The room was comfortable, the view was great, and I loved the onsens. I made four onsen visits during a two night stay. My favorite was the onsen that's scheduled for women in the morning - with the rock waterfall and bubbling water. The hotel is located close to most things one might need or want for a brief visit to Kawaguchiko. A great value for the money. The breakfast was delicious, and offers a an excellent variety of tasty foods to start the day. I recommend including it in the initial booking - as that's a better deal. I regretted that I did not understand the limited breakfast options outside the hotel. Glad we were able to reserve one breakfast last-minute.You can trust the friendly staff to take great care of you!
    • The location and view were perfect; we were fortunate that the weather allowed us to see Mt Fuji. The shuttle from the station was easy to arrange and all the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast included with our package. It was a nice, relaxing break between large city visits.

    Cons -

    • The shower leaked a bit under the door, so the outer bathroom floor was wet when we stepped out...but this was only a very minor inconvenience, and did not detract from our overall experience of luxurious comfort and service.
    • I'm glad we had one night in a traditional Japanese inn for the experience, just know that the futon on the beautiful floor is still a thin mattress on a floor. Exactly as described, so not a negative, just have realistic sleep expectations.
    • At first the onsen situation was confusing and I kissed the view of Fuji in the morning - the men got that

THE VIEW. In addition, warmest welcome, impeccable service and every staff members attention to detail made us feel at home.

None, maybe too much food, but that’s a good thing

All staff are so helpful and nice. The meal plans are great, so just leave it to them and it can definitely feed you up. Place is a little bit old but clean.

It was a relief the moment we stepped into the concierge as we were greeted in fluent English. The lady at reception was very helpful in suggesting sightseeing spots, particularly the cafe at Oishi Park, which we went the following morning. We could view Mt Fuji clearly from our room (when weather permits) and it’s close to the local bus stop. (Hotel’s shuttle is always eager to take you if you’re going back to the station area.) Dinner and breakfast were plentiful and delicious, and the lady who serve us was funny and friendly. There’re also 2 onsens, one of which could view Mt Fuji perfectly. The only regret was that we only stayed 1 night because of our busy schedule.

awesome views of Mt Fuji and Lake Kawaguchiko.staffs were very friendly.

    a little dated.

    9DENISEPosted on: 10-22-2025

Room is very tidy and clean. View outstanding even though we never saw Mt Fuji. The room, service, food and the lake made it still a wonderful 2 night getaway. Most enjoyable stay.

I never used the shower as I enjoyed the onsen. My husband said the water pressure was bad and it took ages to get warm. The onsen shower hoses were hot and strong. Also enjoyed the massage chair there. The carpets in hallways really needs changing.

Extraordinary friendly stuff. Spacious Japanese style room with amazing lake and mountain view. Served splendid Japanese style breakfast and dinner. Clean and iconic onsen on the top floor with iced water provided. Incredible experience.

Staff was very helpful and friendly.

The western room was very plain. Two different connected buildings were a little confusing.

Great view from room as you can see the Fuji mountain from balcony. Japanese style Dinner and breakfast are great tastes. Staff are very polite and helpful!

Need to use stairs to second floor

The view was spectacular with Mt. Fuji and the lake. Especially with the moon's light late at night. Japanese-style Dinner and Breakfast were pretty good. We had dinner at the latest hours so some of the food was no longer hot. We stayed only one night and enjoyed every moment of it. Staff was friendly and eager to help. Location is nearby bus stops, so it was very convenient. Taking walks along the quiet lake in the evening or early morning was so relaxing.

We stayed there for 4 nights, and all the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We got advices on place to visits (with discount coupons) and bicycle rental (which delivered and picked up for us at the hotel). Breakfast was simple but made us full for more than half of the day. The view of Mt. Fuji from the room was spectacular as seen in the hotel’s photos. We got the room on the 3rd floor. The room was spacious and clean. We could choose to have the room cleaned on the day that we wanted. New towels were given every day. Location-wise, it was located in a quiet corner of the lake which we preferred. There was no combini or shops nearby, but the nearest on was only about 2 bus stops away (on Red Line sightseeing bus route) , and it was a nice stroll just to walk along the lake. It took us less than 20 minutes to cycle to Oishi park. So it was not far from anything for us. The hotel offered shuttle to Kawaguchiko Station. Overall we loved it and even considered to come back when the weather is a bit cooler.

It’s not that we don’t like it but just to set realistic expectations for other travelers. The hotel is old. There is a few certain interior areas that one would feel how retro it is. However, overall it is well maintained and the room itself was well refurbished.
