Zámek Lužec Spa & Wellness Resort

This was an amazing experience for our family with 2 kids. Absolutely wonderful time spent together, away from "civilization". The hotel is truly a castle with everything made to enjoy the stay. Hotel staff are amazing and welcoming, always ready to help with any request. I cannot name anyone because all of them were super nice - ladies at the reception, technicians/yard cleaners, rooms cleaners, restaurant staff, spa staff - literally everybody. Food was very fresh and delicious. Spa services are at high standard and very affordable. Wi-Fi is stable and high speed. And a note to all guests coming by cars during winter time - bring snow-chains (it requires just 5min to put them), there is about final 5-7km when it is highly recommended to use to feel safe and stressless.

We invited massage on 17:00 and came from Prague on time but there was no one to do it. The food reminds soup kitchen. The elevator was broken. Arrived till the 3 floor. Our room was on the fourth. We had to carry heavy luggage in stairs.

The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The breakfast is amazing. The location is beautiful. The spa is charming. The hotel is wonderful.

The cleaning lady kept taking towels and didn't bring some new ones. We asked a few times for towels and it didn't happen. We didn't have enough soap and shampoo too.

It was difficult for me to comunicate with the staff because most of them speak only German. The Spa are is more on the functiona side than on the relaxing one.

The feeling of staying at such a beautiful "museum", almost feels like travelling back in time. The building, halls, and rooms with all the wonderful interiors, details are helping to make you feel being away from this century for a little while.

We loved the buffet and choices of food but thinking of some of my purely vegetarian or vegan friends back home, they wouldn't have enjoyed it as much for sure.

-nice medieval style resort-friendly front desk staff -pet friendly-decent size rooms-front desk lady was very friendly-waitress in restaurant was super friendly-food was okay, not to rave about but definitely NOT as bad as stated in previous reviews. -no slippers in room but you can get them for free at the front desk-h4 mattress, which we really enjoyed. There are signs though, that if h4 is too hard for you, you can request a topper.

-booked a full body massage which was just okay. Not great not bad.... but definitely not full body since he didn't massage my arms.-spa staff did not speak English, German etc. Only Czech.so it was kinda hard to communicate. I get it, we are in their country, but especially for massage etc it would be pretty good to understand a minimum of words of the body etc. - the manekin doll in front of the restaurant is just tacky. - really slippery and icy in parking lot and lobby- parking was limited

This was really a unique experience. The castle looks amazing and everything is clean and new inside. The bed was very comfortable and I liked that they provided 3 different sizes of pillows. We spent all three evenings around the swimming pool area and it was never crowded, and the saunas were nice too. The parking area is quite big, so there were always enough spots to park. Breakfast was good and had plenty of options to choose from.

The only thing that bothered me a tiny bit is that the yard in front of the castle was completely frozen, so it was very slippery. I would expect them to use salt as a prevention, but maybe that's not something common in Czechia.

The castle looks great with all the interior in a medieval style. The food was above expectations. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner buffet a lot. The pool was a great addition to end our day. Especially for the kids. The water in the pool was 29°C (quite warm and the pool area itself was warm as well. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We also found a small play area for the kids near reception and took a table game to play in our room. We liked our stay a lot, we felt very comfy and felt like home.Great location, close to Karlovy Vary and ski resorts. Also, there is a park with stone statues to walk around.

It was our first time taking a half board option (breakfast and dinner), and we were quite surprised that drinks were not included in the dinner. So we had to buy drinks and pay extra. It would be nice if simple drinks like tea/coffee and water could be offered at dinner as part of the half board option.Slippers are not offered together with towel and robe for spa/pool area. But there is an option to buy flip flops. Not sure if they will have sizes to suit everyone, so better to take your own slippers or flip flops.

Everything was perfect there

The massage was DISAPPOINTING. My husband and I took massages and they divided us in separate rooms. The female massage therapist(Monika) was very very BAD. She doesn’t know how to do massage. I paid for nothing. From the other side male massage therapist(Miro) from my husband experience was super super good.

The food was amazing, breakfast was ok but the food in the pub was fantastic! The staff were so friendly lovely Czech people as always. The pool was great, saunas and whirlpool clean. Great value for money and we would go back again.

No attention in the spa, we asked the girl to please attend our order and she ignored us Dinners was okey but nothing special Spa wellness is ok but not enough sitting spaces Gym doesn’t have any equipment or it is outdated The whole location felt super cold and not cozy at all.

The service was great the rooms were spacious and the garden was beautiful. The food was great, both for the breakfast and the dinner. The Spa Treatments are very relaxing and inexpensive. All in all a very relaxing stay.

We would’ve loved to hear authentic mideval music in the restaurant and the tavern bar instead of 90s disco and jazz. The Pool in the Spa was quite cold.

Great location 15 min drive from Karlovy Vary. The castle has a character. Wish to stay longer there. Breakfast was great with wide selection.

Beautiful building located in a forest. Interior furnishings super .. The room was of good size and nicely decorated. The breakfast/dinner room was impressive. Food was nice (BUT could have been warmer)

The bed was so uncomfortable, felt like a hard board. Spa area for size of hotel is way too small. Having to constantly ask at spa reception to put jacuzzi on (only fits two people) became an annoyance!!!!

We spent nice day here. Whole hotel is nice, children especially enjoyed spa and ice cream during dinner :) One additionaly plus for stable wifi.All staff members were super kind. I can definitelly recommend this hotel for calm stay outside busy areas.

The food was really really bad, I was surprised considering how well the test went, and it’s important because there are no close places to eat in the area (see pic)

The hotel/room was really nice and perfekt. just like the breakfast and dinner variety. location of the hotel and the look was stunning. quiet and nice for privacy and romance.

the spa wasn’t that good. the steaming cabin wasn’t working at all.. and there was only one sauna and it was really small max 6 people would fitted in. luckily at our stay it wasn’t that busy.. so the spa area could have been a bit better if it’s already calling it self a spa wellness resort.
