Hotel Marttel

It is way more affordable than the fancy hotels down by the river, it is just a 15 minutes walk down the hill and you're right at the Termal hotel. We enjoyed a good breakfast. The staff were friendly (which is not a given in Czechia). The area is quiet and it felt safe. Parking is free if you need that and right in front of the hotel.

The whole hotel feels like it is stuck in the 90s. The bathroom (at least in our room) was really outdated and needs to be renovated, not just visually, but like plumbing and all. The flooring is carpet on all floors and hallways, I didn't feel this was cleaned regularly. But mind this: it didn't hinder my stay, I still took a shower and felt good, I still spent a night there and felt clean.

Liked everything, snacks,coffee, no staff really

The room looks clean but has awful smell from the bathroom. Just imagine a very old building with smelly drainage. However the dining room for breakfast looks well renovated and has decent food to offer. I was just surprised that the breakfast price (11eur) is the same with kids 4yo. Anyhow, I wouldn't be going back.

The hotel is easy to find with lots and lots of parking on the top of the hill. Reception was friendly and helpful. The room was small and basic and reminded me very much of student accommodation, but it all worked well including the wifi and I slept well. Fair to good value.

A bit too much plumbing and a bit squeezy but otherwise fine.

Close to the city center, free parking, comfortable beds, good vibes of an old soviet building :)

Stadium near the hotel. I expected, that it will be used only during the day, but the sportsmen stayed at the same hotel and were shouting all the night long. It is not the hotel's stuff problem, sure, but if you want to stay here - keep it in mind :)

Room clean (hair dryer missing), staff very friendly, location near the soccer stadium and near to the centre, best added value for this prize!

On the bookin they say the breakfast are including and there are horrible, nobody speak English they want passports for registration on the arrivals day, very cold people like the weather

Good location to explore the town. It’s short walk downhill to town but on the way back is quite a walk up hill ? We had a nice stay at the hotel. Plenty of parking space!

The location is very convenient, close to city center and also close to spa facilities. Lovely viev of the mountains, peacefull surroundings, near the old cemetery an lovely nature walks. My room was very cozy with attached balcony, adjustable heat, daily cleaning and super comfortable bed. For the TV lovers, big screen smart TV was attached to the wall.

There is nothing really what would need any improvement.

Large comfy room with fridge. Bathrooms are outdated looking but functional. The hot water and shower pressure were great! Free parking lot right in front of the hotel.

Close to center and an easy 1km walk down but be warned it's all uphill on the way back! No hairdryer...that was a big one for me.

Great room, perfect localization and delicious breakfast?

The parking was very important, so in that matter I got what I needed. Rooms are good, cleanliness also, and the location is alright, depending what your plans are, keeping in mind that the town is steep for walking. Overall experience is good and Karlovy Vary is beautiful.

The hotel was full with screaming kids from some local team. They possibly removed the shield to Clean up the room and our room did not get cleaned up in the morning. One of the rooms we booked was not having hot water at all, and we used the other room's bathroom.

Breakfast was good. Also free parking. That's it.

When we arrived , Anna at reception, wasn't very welcoming. First of all she demanded our documens regardless that we already made check in online by link provided bu the hotel.Secondly she demanded to pay city tax, regatdless that it was included in full booking price.Room was small and no AC. It was so hot inside and nearly impossible to sleap. For the next night we have to go ro another hotel with AC in the room.

I am very sorry that I spent the night in this hotel.It is far from the center. Down in the center there are many hotels for almost the same price.Everything in the hotel is old and needs renovation. The shower cabin is too small.Breakfast was average, not enough choice.I don't recommend it.
