Jepun Didulu Cottage

We did not expect to have such an extremely pleasant stay in this corner of Bali, totally immersed in quiet, lush nature. The staff's service was impeccable, the rooms/cottages are set through paths dense with vegetation, the way to the nearby Virgin Beach winds through a beautiful slice of countryside, with lots of cattle and panoramic views over the surrounding farms. Food options are basic but enough to choose from for a couple of days.

Stuff is very friendly and helpful, I loved the beautiful gardens and pool. So much to c and explore on this amazing peaceful property. Great arrangement with drivers very knowable about Kultur and surroundings . Booked originally for 2 days loved it so much existentes my stay to 4 nights . Breakfast was very good.

The owner and his stuff are all very nice and helpful. I stayed here 5 nights. It’s close by scooter to Virgin Beach (around 10-15 minutes), Taman Ujung, Tirta Gangga. Clean beautiful pool (loved to spend afternoon there after coming back from my trips), clean bed, AC, big room, hot shower, balcony. Just really liked this place!

Mangku and his team were just wonderful. They could not have been more helpful, and no issue was too trivial or short-notice for them. The room was lovely - comfortable, clean, and cosy, and the site is perfectly set up for a relax and walkable from Virgin Beach. We felt right at home, and that’s thanks to all of the staff and the extra mile they go for guests. It’s a very special place with special people, and anyone coming to East Bali would have a wonderful stay there.

We didn’t drive or use scooters, and the staff showed incredible willingness to arrange transport (to Candi Dasa for dinner - as there are not many alternatives locally). However, we did find this expensive compared to other places we have stayed at.

Charming place with a number of villas in traditional style. The staff is lovely and upon arrival we were welcomed with a flower necklace and a nice cold drink. It's only a short scooter drive to excellent Virgin Beach.

There is no air conditioning in the villa and as it was quite hot (August) we really would have appreciated some cool air at night. The bed sheets and towels were not the most clean or new ones.

It was very beautiful on a hill with a beautiful garden. The staff was very helpful and friendly.. The manager drove us everywhere we wanted , and the prices for it were very good.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful with lots of love to every small detail. We were greeted with flowers and drinks. Bungalows were big, ours had an open bathroom and the 2nd one a closed bathroom (as per our wish). Nice balcony to sit outside in the evening. Breakfast was super tasty with for bali standards good coffee. Staff was incredibly nice. When coming back we were greeted with refreshing towels every time. Whenever we needed sth they took care of it straight away without letting us wait. The owner even helped us arrange the ferry and was extremely nice and helped us a lot. (Good English!)Overall: awesome place - I highly recommend

If there is anything to say it would be that it's a bit off from candidasa and restaurants and almost no grab available so you need to rent a scooter (100k/day at the hotel) but it's super close to virgin beach which is awesome.

We loved everything ! Never met kindest people , thank you for being so welcomed ?? The cottages are beautiful and very clean, the garden is fabulous! Such a peaceful place. Moreover the food is very good, we enjoyed having dinner and breakfast in the middle of the garden or at our cottage, wonderful service ? finally thank you to have arranged taxis for us it was very helpful. Thank you Ilu and Agus for being so joyful and kind, hope to see you again. ?

There was nothing I didn't like, the only thing to maybe mention is that as like in the most hotels in bali, there was no warm water to shave at the sink. Standing under the nice Hot shower you forget that soon.

We loved the "welcoming ceremony", it was all so personal and authentic, very friendly owner and amazing staff. Fluent in English and always happy to help. We loved our stay so much that we even extended it for few more nights. If we would have had more time, we even would have liked to spend one week there. This was our favourite place on Bali, not many tourists and the local people were so nice to us. Definitely coming back in the future and already recommended this place to family and friends. I really liked everything but above all the people. The staff is amazing, so kind and helpful. The pool is beautiful and the rooms as well! I will definitely come back again while staying in Bali.

Staff are all friendly and helpful. The location is strategic, easy to visit the famous spot of East Bali by scooter, and it's really nice to go around the village or beach nearby. Breakfast tastes great, I love the banana pancake and fresh fruit. The wifi is good for online work.The most impressive thing is the staff wipe the seat dry of my scooter after raining, I even didn't ask for it, I found it when I am gonna going out after the big rain. By the way, you may rent a nicescooter from the cottage, but please make sure you can ride a scooter safely.I also enjoy the pickup trip with Mr. Nyoman and Mr. Mangku, esp Mr. Mangku. They try their best to have me exploring the beauty of Eastern Bali, and explaining the Bali culture, also took me to enjoy the nice local dish. Overall, the cottage is not a five star place, but the service is over 5 star, really recommend to those who want to explore Eastern Bali.

We have just returned from our amazing 20 day stay at these beautiful tropical gardened cottages.Mangku and his wonderful Jepun family moved heaven and earth to make us feel at home and part of the family , from airport pickup and drop off, laundry, scooter hire, driver and car if needed and even arranging a car to the port and boat return to and from the Gili Islands for a 2 day excursion the driver was waiting to pick us up on our return even though the boat was a couple of hours late. Every request we had was met with a "no problem " Virgin beach was our favourite and I'd definitely recommend a scooter for getting around. The local people in the area are so welcoming and friendly. My wife and I have never felt so safe and at ease so far from home. Manur Suksma to everyone of the gang , missing you all.

Beautiful little jungle garden with decent-sized bungalows tucked away on a hill, on the edge of the Perasi village. For quiet and serenity, this is a good place to relax, as the immediate area is not touristy, which we liked for its authentic local feeling. A motorbike or driver is necessary, which the host can provide, for access to the beach and other sites. Mangku and his team were attentive and lovely, making u s feel welcome and comfortable. They provided suggestions for nice places to eat and visit and organised a smooth and comfortable pickup from the port to their place, with convenient stops along the way to gather snacks and provisions, as the place is a bit far to walk from any convenience stores, ATMs, or restaurants. We enjoyed their breakfast (with fruit and Balinese coffee) and were glad they could also make simple Indonesian dishes if we felt like staying in due to rain or other reasons. Their driver was very kind to make a stop at the medical clinic en route as my husband had a worsening ear infection that needed attention. We were thankful for their help. The rooms and shared spaces were kept clean, and the daily housekeeping was very much appreciated. The small plunge pool was nice to use as the days were very humid and hot, and we were provided with fresh pool towels. It was nice to have a choice of AC or fan rooms (the fan rooms are bigger and prettier), and we appreciated having the large fridge/kitchenette area in the standard bungalows. Although the evenings were cooler than the days while we were there in late April for 5 nights, we liked the cotton bedding and the cotton bed sheet to stay cool and sleep comfortably during the evenings. WiFi, AC, and hot showers worked well. We would have liked more storage and comfortable seating in the AC rooms, which the bamboo bungalows provide.

Exceptional service from the very lovely people at Jepun Didulu. Our room was very new and clean and had everything that we needed. Would recommend highly!

I had the whole villa with a kitchen and a bath. The host is an exceptionally hospitable man.

Bamboo houses always have a lot of natural noises.

Everything was perfect. From welcome to check out. Very attentive staff, great breakfast. And to top it all off, a wonderful garden where you feel like you're in a jungle. The amazing Virgin beach is 30 minutes walk away, or just a few minutes by car or scooter.

The staff was incredible! They are very sweet and hospitable. The food is wonderful and the rooms are very beautiful and clean. Best bathroom and shower I have experienced in Bali.
