Bali Palms Resort

The bedroom, washroom and toilet was spotless, ac working fine,, breakfast was decent, the pool was really clean as well. The staff were very friendly and polite.

Nice and neat hotel, friendly and welcoming staff. Good service. I was afraid of lizards but we had so many in our room that I ended up having them as a pet. I would say this is a positive.

This review is not about the hotel itself, but about the location and overall experience, which were disappointing.The hotel is very far from the airport. Travel time is around 2–2.5 hours, and with traffic it can reach 3 hours. The surrounding area is not tourist-friendly, especially for families. There is ongoing construction right in front of the hotel, heavy traffic, and it is unsafe and unpleasant to walk around.Transport is a major problem. Local taxi drivers operate a monopoly. They often accept rides on Gojek or Grab and later pressure you to cancel, saying the platforms pay too little. In practice, you are forced to hire local taxis. Locals pay around 50K IDR, while foreigners are charged 150K IDR for the same distance.Car rental prices are also inflated. A car that normally costs around 250K IDR per day elsewhere is quoted at 400K IDR per day here. This felt targeted at tourists. In city areas, pricing is fairer and tourists are not treated as a cash cow.Food options in the area are poor. I tried several restaurants and only Gogo Chicken was decent; the rest were overhyped. There is no buffet breakfast at the hotel. Breakfast is fixed, and because it was included in our package, we had to eat the same breakfast for 10 days, which became very repetitive.As a Muslim traveller, this area is not suitable. Despite clearly requesting no bacon multiple times, bacon was still served. The staff were friendly, but there is a lack of understanding of Muslim dietary requirements. Muslim travellers are better off staying in Ubud.There is no good white-sand beach nearby. Reaching beaches like Sanur takes around 1.5 hours by car. There are also very limited activities around the hotel.Although the hotel price seems reasonable, high transport costs and long travel times make it poor value overall. Staying closer to the airport or city is far more practical.

Pool facilities were very good. Bar area by the pool was nice. Staff were helpful.

As soon as we entered the elevator the standard dropped immensely. Four birds nests were on the corridor we were staying on with one bird living directly outside our room door which we could hear constantly. The room was clean but needed a major upgrade. Dark and old-fashioned interior.

Good location on the main road, nice resort with a big pool area. Food and drinks were great and the service is nice and friendly.Studio room was spacious with nice kitchen facilities as well… and of course big balcony with pool and sea views.

Only issue was that bathroom didn’t have a shower beside the toilet seat

I had a very nice time staying at Bali Palms.The restaurant food and staff were very fine.The big warm swimming pool with multiple levels was very enjoyable.The pool night colored lighting added a nice touch and the fact you can quietly swim in it late was also wonderful.The office staff was very helpful, and the grounds crew keeps the property well manicured.If you are scuba diving I dove Nusa Penida Manta Ray Point abd also Liberty shipwreck while at the resort.Southern Dreams dive shop picked me up at 8:00 at the front reception desk and did a fine job running both trips.Liberty is a hour bus ride north through AmlapuraNusa Penida is a boat ride out of Pandang Bai harbor.Patricia from Southern Dreams is a delight to work with and she communicates very well on whatsapp.If you have s chance to see the king’s water palace north of Amlapura it is worth the drive. Bring swimming suit if you want to cool off in nice smaller poolGreat experience overall !

Mosquitoes,Ants and other insects in the room.An ecxtremely smelly bathroom …the smell did not go in our stay.Staff very friendly and helpful.

The hotel located right at Candidasa central, perfect getaway from down town hussle. Only 1.5 hour ride from Denpasar.The hotel was hype in the 90s but they renovated the building, you can still see some 90's building style but hey! they are unique and vintage nowRoom is spotless, AC worked perfectly, they clean the pool everyday.The beach is the highlight, you can unwind at the sun bed by over looking the ocean and island view.Bfast is superb. They serve a complete and scrumptious bfastStaff is responsive, kind and welcoming.Overall, it's perfect getaway at Candidasa if you bring family or just your own

Nice breakfast by the pool and ocean. Beautiful pool, lovely staff, comfy bed, room has plenty of furniture, good fridge in well equipped kitchen. Good walk in shower. Love this place

Have to hope neighbours are courteous on balconys as there is no privacy from rooms either side. Ours were?

The pool was big, food was yum & staff were lovely. 4 hour happy hour every day was great!

Aircon didn’t work in our room but they moved us to another which was great. Statues around the pool and buildings are in need of some work. Bed was a bit hard but they gave us a mattress topper when asked & that was good.

No access too beach. Beach front only. Extremely loud band on Tuesday and Friday nights. Facing accommodation rooms as per photo.

Everything. The staff were excellent, the pool was beyond great, breakfast was superb and the views are stunning. Live music 3 times a week was a bonus as well. Great value for your money for sure.

My only complaint would be that our bed was not very comfortable at all.

Its location and this place is very spacious although its very out dated ; we are on the ground floor next to the swimming pool/breakfast area with fantastic ocean views. We like the fact that they have a big fridge for storing food. Breakfast is ok

The bathroom is very very old , very dim, toilet hard to flush ; shower area is very very old type; There is no checking to make sure everything is ok because we had to get help with the gas stove not working ; there is no dining table ; only have breakfast bench with bar chair too high to sit on so you have to bend to eat on the breakfast bench

This is without a doubt the best value property I have ever stayed at.The views are fantastic, the rooms are very clean and staff are absolutely amazing and very friendly. The pool and the band that played poolside were awesome ?

A little mix-up on arrival with the room type booked but it was late and I really didn't mind as the room they allocated was also very nice. Reception moved me the next day, and it all worked out fine. The staff here are amazing. Thank you. ?

We liked the atmosphere and kindness of the staff. They really tried to make us feel comfortable and offered help when needed...The restaurant/bar by the beach had very relaxing vibe and they cooked delicious food.

The cleanliness of this place was something I had troubles with. The floors were not particularly clean, th bathroom was smelly and also the shower was not clean (had some old dirt inside, which was building up some time). Also the dust was on the pieces of furniture (like coffee table, bedsise table...)

Visiting in low season gives you the feeling that you own the place ,cozy place , few faces that you soon become familiar with ,ocean view , superb swimming pool and the food is very tasty , whether you are staying inn or exploring ,feels like home away from home .

I missed the gym or a place for yoga , maybe some Latin dancing . Overall nothing I didn't like about the place

I love the peaceful surrounds. The staff are beyond exceptional. They took such good care of our family and especially my mother. Staff went above and beyond for us and made our stay special. The lady at the spa is such a fabulous masseuse. The reception staff organised our tours and we were so happy with our drivers and activities. A special mention to the wait staff at the restaurant!!! Wow food is served so quickly, which is helpful in the morning when the car arrives early for a day tour. The food is delicious and the cocktails are welcome after a big day out. Please try the blue lagoon you won’t be disappointed. I can’t say enough about the staff at Bali plans!! To me they have become family. Can’t wait to see you all again soon.

Like all of Bali, they are recovering slowly after covid. They are forging forward and doing updates to the resort and it’s looking fabulous.

Beautiful location by the ocean on east coast of Bali. Near many places to enjoy good meals. Within short walking distance from local temples and points of interest.

Property was a little bit worn, but I felt that just added to the ambiance of the stay.

Breakfast was very good with a wide choice of both western and Asian food. I found that the local coffee grew on me more each day. If anything was not quite right the staff had it fixed very quickly without hesitation.

There was very little not to like about this property as it catered to all ages and demographics. I will be recommending this property to anyone who wants.
