Hot Cross Point Santa Monica

Great location amongst other resorts. Close to the beach. Breakfast was great with lots of options. Rooms were clean. The bathroom was Japanese style and a good size.

The beds weren’t the best, the mattress was very hard.

Cosy hotel on good location. They serve reach self service breakfast. Good value for the money.

A lot of effort is made for the comfort of guests. The room is quite clean, spacious and comfortable. The breakfast selection is really diverse and delicious. The hotel has lovely terrace and a beautiful views. The Shuttle Bus service is very comfortable and I was able to move around the resort freely and quickly. The resort itself propose good selection of entertainment and dining options. There are some lovely beaches in close proximity. There is also free transfer from and to Miyako Airport. I would definitely use Shigira Resort hotel once again if I would come visit Miyako Island in the future. And I definitely recommend Hot Cross Point Santa Monica as well.

Shuttle bus and tuk tuk services are very convenient and right on schedule. Breakfast is great and the menu changes

The pool is fantastic, and it's great that it's open until 9 PM. The breakfast offers a wide variety of options.

The dining options at Shigira Resort are quite limited, expensive, and the quality of the food was disappointing. The resort itself wasn't very clean, with overgrown bushes and untidy areas around the hotel. I was quite concerned about the possibility of encountering snakes while walking around. Additionally, there was occasionally an unpleasant smell from the nearby farms and aquaculture areas, which detracted from the overall experience. About snorkeling point at Shigira Beach, there are a lot of triggerfish, be careful!

Nice Staffs. Can rent a bike. Moderate Breafast.

No restaurants around. Rent car is a must.

If you like Snorkeling & Sauna (and Onsen) this is the place to go

there are building and site constructions nearby; the shigira resort is expanding further

Great location, beautiful view. The room was a comfortable, lovely bathroom shower. The staff was exceptional helping us with car rental during a busy time ( Miyako music festival). The breakfast was great too! Loved everything and would definitely go back.

It’s quite remote. There were no taxis available during the weekend as per the staff, so we were unable to leave the complex to go into town. Facilities are very limited if the weather is bad, we unfortunately we’re stuck in the room (through no fault of the staff, just unlucky) but some staff very unhelpful during the stay

Free private airport shuttle provided by Shigara resort. Easy to find on arrival. Return to airport also free, to be reserved at reception. "Twin room" spartan, but very functional. In-room safe. After 4 pm free shuttle bus to other areas of Shigara resort.Good breakfast buffet.

Room description "hot tub" is deceptive. There is in fact a Japanese style bathing enclosure with a small bathtub next to the stand-up shower.Although part of the Shigara complex, hotel is a bit far from the other areas. No shuttle bus before 4 pm.Reception staff very limited in languages other than Japanese.

It was a last minute decision to go to Miyako and there were not enough hotels to book. This was one of the choices so we decided to book at this hotel. We stayed for 3 nights. The breakfast was really good.

It was too basic. Nothing special.

The design of the room (color tone, use of furniture and electric appliances) were stylish and simple. I enjoyed the minimalistic style. The room was throughly cleaned and felt comfortable.

You need to go to the elevator area in order to call the reception as there is no phone to use in the room.Also, there was no switch to operate a fan in the shower room so if you close the door after shower, humidity is caught inside the bathroom.

We had a fantastic ocean view from our room. We had the room at the Santa Monica Sunset with balcony overlooking the ocean. The hotel staff were very friendly. The breakfast was fantastic!A 3 star hotel but with service of a 5 star hotel.

It was reasonably priced in a great location, part of the Shigira resort. The corner room was of a very nice size, and the bathroom in particular was very stylish and clean. The shower pressure was strong and the bathtub was long. The toilet was also located conveniently for privacy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particularly the handsome gentleman who greeted us upon arrival (I didn’t catch his name).

The balcony had some cobwebs on it. Maybe needs a quick tidy before we arrived.
