    • This hotel is perfect! It is a quiet, remote, and remodeled great place to escape. The staff was exceptional, friendly, and supportive. Every room has a small pool. Beautiful location only 1min from the beach. Excellent local organic cuisine!
    • This is the nicest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and I’ve stayed in several very nice hotels in Asia and Europe. The room was extremely spacious and well designed. Very minimalist with lots of natural light. It was nice to swim in the evening with some of the best starry night skies I’ve seen. The breakfast was great, and they remembered all my wife’s dietary preferences. They remembered our names and made us feel very welcome. They had a very nice employee “Anh” who spoke perfect English and gave us helpful suggestions on beaches to go for snorkeling or swimming. They rented us very nice wet suits and snorkeling equipment. They offered in room message on short notice. The room itself was extremely nice, but the level of service that we got was truly unbelievable.

    Cons -

    • Everything was exceptional!!
    • If there’s anything I can change it would be to add a sink in the bar area and the water temperature control panel be closer to the shower.
    • There are many small things that require additional cost, we would have expected them to be included.

I loved the Deluxe Villa. It was very comfortable and spacious for 4 adults. It doesn’t have a beach view even though it’s facing the beach but it provides privacy that way. The staff was very helpful as well.

If there’s anything I can change it would be to add a sink in the bar area and the water temperature control panel be closer to the shower.

This is the place you are dreaming of!We were looking for something special to end our honeymoon trip to Japan. Miyako island is an incredible place, and the rescape makes it even better. This is not the typical resort with enormous buildings over the sea.The rescape is literally immersed in nature without ruining it. We stayed in the comfort cottage, a huge room with a private swimming pool. Everything was just perfect: pool, beds, shower, bath tub, breakfast (both "western" and Japanese, served on alternating days). The shabu shabu dinner served to the room was delicious, totally worth it!I appreciated their care for the environment. Also, the staff is so kind and discreet: they will give you all the privacy you need but they're always ready to help you.

The staff (particularly Tanikawa, Agung and Agung) were exceptional and really helpful. Our room was perfect for our needs. Location was ideal if you have a car and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Would recommend

There are many small things that require additional cost, we would have expected them to be included.

The facility, food and private pool. Speaker in the room was also great. The amenities are good as well. Bathroom was very beautiful. Room service was quite delicious.

It would be nice to have a convenient store on the facility as there are no stores around. Also more options without meat in room service. Beach needs to be cleaned more often (maybe give more info to guests who wants to help)

Great service, very relaxed atmosphere, perfectly quiet, excellent food. We had some great relaxed days!

Very remote, you NEED a car, there is NOTHING in reach by walking, the Hotel restaurant is excellent but nothing for every day. The Hotel should fix the loosen or missing pool tiles, several people mentioned this already, this is not safe.

    8JonnyPosted on: 5-15-2024

Rooms are very spacious, beautifully decorated. Staff are all friendly. Breakfast was very nice.

To eat or drink at the hotel is expensive. You should consider hiring a car in order to explore other places to eat on the island. Some parts (like the communal pool area) were a little scruffy around the edges

    9WillPosted on: 4-22-2024

Food was exquisite. Both the Japanese and Western breakfast options in particular were tasty and fresh. I especially liked the "local" nature of the food, from the pork to the seafood to the bakery items. It was really nice! The "beach BBQ" they offer was the highlight of our stay tho -- truly amazing. I also have to say that one of their managers, Koki Makiyama, went out of his way to make us feel special during our BBQ dinner. He even gave us a free bottle of champagne! Other staff like Alishikawa Natsuki, Wira, and Aqung Gunawan, all made our stay immensely enjoyable. And the beach? OMG don't get me started...stunning :-)

When we arrived, they told us that the BBQ for all the nights we would be there was full. This was irritating, as we'd called in advance and asked if we needed to reserve anything and we were told "no". However, they did fix this in the end in light of the miscommunication on that...but it required us getting a bit upset at the front desk. Really what would have been nicer to see is that, without getting upset, they'd just automatically go above and beyond to find a way to fit us in. Also, they give you some free stuff in the mini-bar when you get there, but it wasn't very high quality stuff. I wish they'd be a little less cheap with the minibar options that they pre-stock (and that don't cost you anything extra). Some nicer liquors and such would be fun. Also, I was on the couch bed staying with my friends. It works in a pinch, but man is that a stiff couch...

The private pool and room/bath over looking the sea was fantastic. You could listen to the waves with the patio door open even though it was a little cold. There were many nice touches like make your own bath salts and toast marshmallows. The staff struggled to speak English but tried so hard and were so friendly. Hot pot in your room was so good.

It was a bit far from anywhere and we needed to higher a car. We didn't realise you could not really walk anywhere else and have to book meals in advance. The pool was a bit dated with loose tiles and no one serving drinks but we were out of season and we had our own pool so not so bad.

We stayed during our honeymoon, the rescape is absolutely amazing, the staff is the best, they literally do everything they can to make you feel at home and to make sure you have everything you need to make your stay excellent ? the rooms are spacious and have excellent views to the sea, we recommend it to anyone visiting Mikako!

This hotel is the highlight of our trip. My child loves the private pool and the big bathtub. The bed is also very comfortable. I had the most amazing sleep here. Can’t wait to be back.

Everything perfect. Beach is always empty and its just AMAZING!! Villa with private pool is stunning

Maybe they could offer a western breakfast, japanese breakfast is not for everyone :)

Amazing experience! Peace and relax everywhere. We spent a part of our honeymoon and was better than I could imagine! All the people who work in the Rescape, was so so kind and polite with us! The island’s lands and beaches are a beautiful paradise. We hope we can come back soon! Kisses from Spain!

    I love everthing

As per the photos, the room (or, actually, more like a cabin) is spacious and luxurious (and we stayed in the smallest room available). We went in April and the private pool was clean and heated (lukewarm), so we could enjoy it even though the weather was not as warm as in the summer. The beach definitely feels like a private beach. It is not the prettiest or best in Miyako, but still nice and picturesque. While there are better snorkeling spots in the island, you can see marine wildlife in front of the resort too. (Our trip in Miyako had only 2 days, so we didn't try a lot of spots, but Aragusuku beach during high tide was superb for snorkeling: lots of fishes, a sea turtle, some venomous creatures too, read the sign at the entrance of the beach to learn the list please).Cuisine was very good as well. We booked the plan with breakfast and dinner included and, compared to other similar menus we had at ryokans during our Japan trip, Rescape has more of a western feeling (feels like a japanese french fusion cuisine maybe?)Staff was superb in terms of hospitality. It rained the whole day on our arrival day, but you can bring cards, board games, etc, from the lounge onto your room. Make sure to try Shikuwasa juice if you hadn't tried it elsewhere in Okinawa yet.

There is a bit of Garbage in the beach (which is a Miyako-wide problem, trash comes through sea mainly from China and Taiwan). But it was cleaner than most of the spots we went to in the same coast.

beautiful property tucked away and very private. Breakfast was great! and she was room service!

    9AomoriPosted on: 8-11-2022

    very polite staffs.

some insects and spiders but its because of the location.

    7KaoriPosted on: 6-5-2022

Very spacious, modern style room with a big pool. We had two double bed attached as one so we had plenty of space to sleep! All the drinks in the fridge were free to drink so that was nice. Staff were all very nice and friendly. It was in a secluded area so very quiet and nice.

They lacked the up keeping for some of the places, like the common pool. It looked nothing like the promotional photo which was quite surprising given the fact they've been in business only for 3 years. I wonder if they were hit by typhoon or something. Breakfast was great for me but I probably liked it more if it was continental breakfast style where you can just pick what you want to eat instead of fixed plates. My husband couldn't eat a lot of stuff that was served because he's not too into Japanese style food. The room we stayed, the entrance light was so bright and it was peeking into our bedroom but they couldn't turn it off.
