Pros +
- we got a family bungalow right by the beach and the location was awesome! The staff at the restaurant and front desk were nice and service was good.
- Great location within walking distance (or easy drive) within Lamai. Didn’t use the pool area but it looked nice and clean - also had great beach access.
- Close to beach nice pool
Cons -
- Room felt dirty and run down. Pictures advertised seemed nicer than why we actually got. Floor boards were creaky everywhere and in one corner bounced/felt like we’d fall through if we didn’t move carefully. Bathroom door had a hole in it with some sort of residue on the back that just looked gross/lended to the unclean feeling. Walls are also super thin so we heard everythinggg our neighbors did.
- Getting old and in need of repairs
- The mattresses weren't that comfortable, one was hard like a rock, but at least they switched it for a more comfortable one from the next room for my friend.

The pool and restaurant were nice, with Lovely restaurant staff. The beachfront chairs and umbrellas were great.
The mattresses weren't that comfortable, one was hard like a rock, but at least they switched it for a more comfortable one from the next room for my friend.
The location is perfect-Right on the ocean. The new owner was so nice and friendly. They upgraded our room and it was very nice. The food at the restaurant was good. There was a cute and friendly dog.
The bed was too hard- needed a mattress topper. The showers had no pressure and it was hard to get out of the tub.
Perfect location, gorgeous pool and patch if beach. Fab restaurant and bar. Lovely and very helpful staff
Quiet unique fun comfortable bed and YouTube tv
Ants everywhere. Non black out curtains. Walls are made of paper so can hear everything going on in room nearby. Toilet was broken. Didn’t smell nice in the toilet most of the time. Blanket was bad. Looked very dated around the resort with broken trees and debris everywhere. Most the staff were pretty nice. Location is very good. Good at tidying. For the price it was pretty good considering the location, staff, and atmosphere
I really enjoyed the cozy rooms and the bed was pretty comfortable! Great access to massage and beach and a well kept pool! Motorbike available and close to alot of activity around Lamai beach
I really really liked this hotel. Big and well maintained swimming pool next to the beach. Beautifull vegetation. Good rooms with airco, kettle, fridge and hot running water. Location very quiet but only a 10 minute beach walk from the Walking Street. Massage on the beach. Very friendly staff and spaghetti bolognese is a big portion in the restaurant.
Simple accommodation with basic amenities, which was more than enough for our stay. A large resort with cute charm. It also has bike rental available on the property, the pool was a nice size and depth, and it was on the beach.
A little rundown in places, it’s a large resort so I can’t imagine refurbishing and revamping it would be cheap. The mattress was rock hard but that’s a trending theme in Thailand apparently (or perhaps just where we chose to stay), and the air-con in our accommodation as a bit unreliable.
Bill Resort is in a wonderful location, right on Lamai beach, where you can walk along the beach to town or other bars and restaurants. Yes, the resort is old, but our bungalow was fantastic, the pool was clean, the public areas tidy and the staff lovely. If you are looking for an affordable beach side holiday in a rustic old-school Thai bungalow, then this is a wonderful choice. If you are looking for 5 star luxury, stay somewhere else. The resort runs down the hillside, so if you have mobility issues, it could be a problem. Thank you, Bill Resort, I wish I could have stayed longer!
The beds were a little bit firm, which is normal for Thailand, just not my personal preference.
Nice cabins
Had a problem with toilet. Took several attempts to fix. Long walk down steep hill to beach.
Good location—close to town if you need to escape.•AC worked well, which you’ll need while sweating through your disbelief.•Friendly staff—they’re nice but can’t fix how terrible the place is.•Pool was clean and the shower was hot—small blessings in this dismal experience.
If you’re thinking about booking Bill Resort because of its 3-star rating, think again—this place barely deserves 1 star. It looks like an abandoned campground, complete with broken housing materials scattered across the property. There are cut tree branches left lying around like someone gave up halfway through cleaning, and the cement ponds that might have once been charming are now garbage dumps filled with debris. The room was a disaster.•Exposed old wires sticking out of the walls—because who doesn’t love a little electrical hazard on vacation?•The toilet seat was covered in black mold—not just a little, but all over the lid.•The curtains had brown stains—and I didn’t want to know why.•The floor and ceiling looked like a DIY patch job gone wrong—multiple colors and textures everywhere, like a renovation that’s been started and abandoned 10 times.•Housekeeping? Once every four days, which is apparently generous by their standards. For a place rated as 3 stars, it’s a joke—I wouldn’t even give it 1 star. We stayed at much nicer places in the area for the same price or less. This was by far the worst accommodation I’ve ever experienced in Southeast Asia.
Excellent location, clean and comfortable bungalow, friendly staff and beautiful setting in woodland overlooking the beach with lovely pool.
Great location, right on the beach and a short walk to the main bars and restaurants in LamaiWe had an issue with our toilet which was resolved promptly
Not ideal if you have mobility issues as a lot of the rooms (and the walk to/from town) are on a fairly steep inclineAs others have mentioned the resort could do with a freshen up/refurb to really take advantage of the location as the other resorts have along the beach
I loved the area of Bill Resort and the choice of beach side reasonably priced eating places to enjoy. The area is so chilled but if the want the noisy town area then it’s only 20 minutes walk along the beach . I also loved the fact that it had a beautiful pool. I love swimming in the sea mainly but when I was in KS the sea was always rough so having the pool worked out great for me. The different choices of rooms were good as I have stayed here twice and the first time I was in a bungalow in the gardens and this time I was in a villa close to the pool. I would definitely recommend Bill Resort.
It would have been easier to communicate with someone on reception that spoke better English and on arrival explained the facilities to you as I didn’t even know there were safety deposit boxes in a room off of the reception area until I was leaving. It was not easy trying to find out information for my stay. Than you Google translate!!
I stayed the last 8 days of my long holiday at Bill Resort at the beach front villa and it was a great way to enjoy the island in a calm and relaxing place. The housekeeping kept coming on time leaving the room fresh and the staff were very helpful. Location in Lamai is perfect to enjoy the quiet side of the beach where you have a great Vibrant street next to you.Highly recommend this place. Also the rooms on the mountains were cool.
Bungalows we're big clean and spacious .the one problem I had was that most of the bungalows are up a steep hill away from the beach and pool area.I would never want to stay so far away from the beach again ! So I would only stay there again if I was near the pool and beach
The location is OK, a bit far from the Lamai center. Next to beach which is big plus.
Whole property needs renovation.
