Aonang Sunset Hotel

The location was great! Members of my family have mobility issues and being perfectly in the center made getting around much easier. Limited parking turned out to be pretty useful.

Best hotel neat n clean with big rooms. The location was very good near all halal restaurants and clubs. Recommended

Beachside hotel, closer to many restaurants, souvenir shops, clubs.

Right in the heart of it all but the room was quiet. Steps to the beach, fabulous food and a great nightlife. Not only does it have an exceptional a/c unit, it also has an osculating fan that is very appreciated when you return to the room all dewy (grossly sweating). Did not have time to use the pool unfortunately. It’s small but looks enjoyable. Has a bit of a vibe like it’s only used by the people who have booked the rooms around it. I am a solo traveller so I am ballin on a 4th floor budget. You get one room key that you have to drop at front desk every time you leave the hotel, but reception is 24 hour desk service, so no big deal. I actually liked it - was one less thing that I had to carry around and be responsible for. Also, as a solo traveller, at least the people at my hotel know when I’m coming and going. Made me feel a little safer.

The staff were friendly and efficient. I liked the layout of the dorm room with cubby style beds built securely into the sides of the room which had there own curtain on them and space underneath to lock up your bag and belongings. Providing it fit. There was only ever 1-4 people in the room during my stay.

I arrived and was informed that the doom room I have booked provides limited Air conditioning, and it is not provided between 10am and 5pm. Which I found rendering the room unusable to sleep in or do anything else during these hours as it turned into a sweatbox during that time. I was tied and unable to sleep. This was not specified before booking or in the facilities listed.   When I asked at the reception if the AC could be turned on for two hours so I could rest, they said they were unable to comply as it was automated and no other help was or could be provided. I would not have booked this room had I known.

Good location

THEY DO NOT WASH THE SHEET AFTER EACH USE. The attendant came to check for stains and REMADE the bed!!The dorm doors don’t automatically lock so they are pretty much open all day/night long.

Can't imagine better location, spacious balcony, helpful staff available 24/7.

"American" shower head made showering a little uncomfortable and AC is extremely loud, we did get used to it eventually but still.

The overall stay was good. It's not fancy but clean and comfortable. The ladies that work at front desk and super sweet and friendly.

Had beg bugs in my bed, and I went to complain they initially blamed me for bringing food in which I didn't do. I then asked for a refund on my stay and they wouldn't give it to me. Awful staff , and an awful experience

The property’s toilets flooded when I was there so they turned the water off so I couldn’t shower for hours after I had been snorkelling and the aircon was off in the room from 10-5 but the fans stayed on

Everything was great, the dorms were spacious and lovely white bedding with privacy :)Nice pool area!

Location, close to beach and longtail boats to get you to other places. Lots of restaurants close by and the night market only a few min walk away.

I liked the close proximity to nightlife and the beach.

There was no noise curfew and people were talking loudly at 3-4am in the dorms. The pillows were very flat and the room had an odor as well.

I liked how the pool is close to the entrance of dorm rooms. Easy to take a quick swim in the morning. Staff very helpful with tips and booking trips.

The ac in the dorm rooms is off from 10am to 17pm. The room was very hot on daytime.

The location was fantastic, right in the heart of Ao Nang! Restaurants and cafés are just around the corner, making it incredibly convenient. However, the downside is that the rooms are very noisy. With all the nearby restaurants and cafés, the live music continues until quite late at night. If you're not a fan of noise, this might not be the best place for you to stay.

The beds were absolutely terrible! They were so hard that I experienced significant back pain after my stay. My parents also struggled to get a good night’s rest because of the uncomfortable beds. In fact, none of us were able to sleep well due to how hard the mattresses were. Additionally, I was disappointed that payment options were so limited – I couldn’t pay with AMEX or my card, as only Visa was accepted

The traditional furniture was a really nice touch. The location was amazing, right on the beach but set back so the noise wasn't too much at night.My room was very spacious.

The pool was set with the hotel surrounding it so didn't get much sun.

AVOID this noisy and dishonest place

Everything. We spent 3 months in SE Asia and thought we could handle it all, the noise, etc, but this place was beyond extraordinary noisy with the bar music going on every night. Even with the earplugs on, we couldn't sleep. We couldn't have the balcony on our 4th floor room open either because of all the weed smoke from the street and the stoned creeps looking into our room from the other rooms. We had to cancel and leave after a couple of nights of no sleep. Booking.com agreed with the property for the full refund of the remaining nights. However, the lady aka property manager had the audacity to demand 10% charge on the entire booking for ala the bank card fees. Visa/Mastercard fee is not 10%! When I refused 10%, she said ok 5%. A clear scam in a broad daylight. After spending well over an hour on the phone with Booking, got a full refund of the remaining nights. Thank you, Booking, for sorting it out.

It is located on the lively street so you are in the middle of everything. It has a pool in a calm area.

In the evening it is very loud and hard to sleep due to very loud music nearby
