The forest quiet surroundings.

The room was very simple. No shower in the room. Second floor with high stairs. We had to carry the luggege. The walls are very thin. Finally very poor english. Does not stand up to the price required !

Very warm host. Delicious dinner and breakfast. Very good accompany from the host and the forest, highly recommended ?

Might have been above our budget but it was really pretty. You will also see a lot of the nature from inside, since there are fodder spots everywhere around for the birds and other animals. Really comfortable inside. While you have a car, you can also really reach some nice views within a short time. There are 2 Onsens, you can take one for yourself to take a shower. I HIGHLY recommend taking the breakfast & lunch option, because there isn't much around, and you'll be served what feels like a 5 course meal. Great food here.

The only way to really get there is by car. No personal shower (you get an Onsen though)

The lodge location in forest. We see a lot of different kind birds and enjoyed delicious dinner and breakfast. The staff only two by owner couple. They are very friendly and kindly. I enjoyed early morning snow boots walk trip. If have chance love to return enjoy again. Thank you

Love the hospitality of the owners, food was delicious, nice beautiful and homely environment, 24 hour access to the onsen, room was big!

No complaints, but note that the property is quite remote and a 5 min drive from the nearest convenience store

The hosts were very kind, even though we didn't order a dinner , we got a tasty homemade cheese cake.

A great little family onsen in the middle of the forest. Excellent and hearty welcome. Great breakfast, and common areas very cosy. Onsen facilities on the small side but excellent water. Great location to explore the national park if access to a car.

For some reason the barrier screens around the outdoor onsen area are a little untidy/messy looking. Could do with a tidy up or lick of paint etc. Also no air conditioning so can be a little hot in August etc

This lovely place is in a forest-like environment and you will need the GPS to find it. It's beautiful and quiet with trees all around and the hosts are very welcoming and accommodating. Dinner and breakfasts are available at extra costs. We arrived late so only had breakfast which was substantial and delicious. There is a choice of a Western or Japanese breakfast.The room was large, super clean, and the beds were very comfortable. In the room is a toilet and a wash-handbasin area. The showers/onsen is downstairs. The onsen was very clean and wonderfully hot. There is a lounge and dining room downstairs. It was very nice to chat with other guests and the owners.

It feels like the lodge was in a fairytale world. Birds, squirrels, deers and so on in the neighborhood. The host and hostess are so kind, they offered pickup service at Biwaru station and helped guide my second travel. I also played with their dog a lot after dinner. Onsen was great even though I'm not good at taking onsen. Homemade foods were really tasty as well.Also, they offered a morning snowshoe tour, it was so awesome!

Very peaceful location in the forest with lots of birds and squirrels visiting, convenient to visit the nearby lakes. The owners were very friendly and the food absolutely excellent. The room was clean and the common area was very pleasant.

We found the main downside to be the bathroom, especially the male onsen was quite run down and mouldy.

Absolutely lovely hosts who are willing to help you with anything. They were a tremendous help to us when my partner hurt is ankle pretty badly. I honestly couldn’t wish for more loving and caring hosts. The meals were delicious! The accomodation itself was very clean, spacious and cute. Lots of squirrels and birds outside during breakfast! I have absolutely no complaints.

It’s surrounded by forests and we can see squirrels and birds visit the property. We can also enjoy a private hot spring bath. The meals were superb. Above all, the staff were very kind!

No TV or other news sources, though wifi was available. I’m an old school.

A wonderful cosy accommodation in a pleasant, peaceful forest setting. The hosts were very kind and welcoming, and the meals were incredible.

I only wish the clouds had cleared so I could have enjoyed the (presumably) amazing night sky from the outdoor bath :)
