A slice of luxury for a fraction of the price. The serenity and peace of this place was wonderful with views of the lake and the trees. We had a great massage here as well and the food was exceptional. Perfect service, beautiful surroundings and a special end to our trip.

A haven of peace and serenity hidden away in the Backwaters. Cabins are clean, equipped and spacious. Food was a burst of flavours.. delicious. Lovely staff. Pool area very private. Absolutely unforgettable expérience. Ps: free boating through the backwaters. Mesmerizing…Wish I had stayed more than one day.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kondai Lip Heritage Resort, and I cannot speak highly enough about my experience as a solo woman traveler. From the moment I arrived, I felt safe and welcomed, which is essential for anyone traveling alone.The service at this resort is impeccable. The staff, including the boatman who greeted me upon arrival, were genuinely hospitable and attentive. The reception team made check-in effortless, and their warm smiles made me feel right at home. I also want to extend my gratitude to the accounting staff, who went above and beyond to assist me with my saree when I needed help. Their kindness and readiness to assist made all the difference.I also appreciated the janitorial staff, who maintained the premises impeccably and were always approachable if I had any questions or needed anything. Their attention to cleanliness and detail added to the overall pleasant atmosphere of the resort.The food at Kondai Lip Heritage Resort was outstanding! The chefs provided a delightful array of options, and I was pleasantly surprised by how frequently the staff would call my room to check if I needed to order dinner. This level of attention and care is truly commendable.Overall, my stay at Kondai Lip Heritage Resort was an enriching experience. The combination of excellent service, safety, and delicious food made my trip memorable. Overall our stay here was good. A few hiccups with the AC in the rooms and arranging the massages, but the staff was prompt in trying to resolve the issues. The restaurant was excellent with great food! Also, the surroundings and views are great. We loved catching the sunrise and sunset, along with the kayaking around the backwaters.

The food was excellent. Amazing flavours.

They don’t mention in their description that this is a dry “resort”. That means you need to bring your own alcohol if you want a drink in the evening. No alcohol at the dinner table allowed. You also need a boat ride to get on/off the resort. These are just little important things they should let people know so people can make choices. To their credit, they didn’t play hardball when we asked to leave a few days earlier.

I loved the fact that it was on the lake, it was beautiful. It had a very good restaurant- the food was tasty and the service was fine.

The property is exceptional and definately exceeded our expectations! We booked 2 rooms for 5 people, and got spacious, renovated and even interconnected rooms, with stunning views, which was a nice surprise. We had a full board, and I must say the food was the best one we had in India: all kind of curries, seafood, meat etc. The swimming pool was a great plus during hot and sunny days. Activities provided were great(table tennis, kayaks, paddle boards, one hour backwater cruise). The staff was nice, smiling and helpful. The area is well mantained, green with a lot of palms, flowers, birds etc and surprisingly no mosquitoes! :) Wifi was strong all over the place. I will definately recommend this place to all my friends and maybe even come again myself :)

quaint little oasis, can use kayaks freely to explore the surroundings. lovely staff and great food. breakfast was South Indian and plentiful with made to order omelette. vesicular views from the room. very peaceful

Peaceful place, surrounded by nature, backwater, plenty of birds, trees. Exactly what we needed and the food was so tasty and diverse

Nothing to say, maybe just there were not many long chairs at the pool area.

It was in a beautiful location right on the back waters, a little boat to get to the reception was very cute. Staff were so lovely, food was delicious and the rooms were authentic clean and very comfortable

Beautiful resort to relax and experience village life and backwaters of kerala.The warmth and service from the staff who are mostly locals has my special appreciation as it elevated the experience. Right from the boat pick up to get to the property, to helping us with peddal boats and other activities, they were very hands on and kind with people of all age groups.The food both for dinner and breakfast was very tasty and we enjoyed it.Choosing a room with the backwater view is a good idea.

Not a negative, but please be mindful that you need to park your car on the other side and call the reception to get to the property with a very short boat trip. We learned about this from other reviews as it was not communicated well on booking.com.

Lovely place if you are looking for a complete relaxation, birds watching, ayurweda, trying Indian food, etc., but there is not much else to do there.

Friendly helpful and efficient staff, beautiful natural setting and many free activities. Lodge was clean and comfortable and food delicious. Highly recommend for a 2-3 night stay.

We had an amazing stay at Kondai Lip Resort! The serene atmosphere, with lots of birds and beautiful rooms, including open air showers in the bathroom, made it feel like an outdoor paradise. We enjoyed activities like swimming, fishing and paddle boating. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food was fantastic, especially the breakfast buffet with fresh fruit, made-to-order omelets and crispy dosas. The boat ride to the resort added a secluded, paradise-like feel. Highly recommend for a peaceful getaway!

Serene location amid the backwaters and the amazing opportunity to witness sunrise every morning. The staff are very nice and the food was decent. We had booked two cottages for 4 nights and we really loved it. It is a bit far from the Kochi airport (1.5 hrs drive) but not far from Fort Kochi and other attractions. The resort helped us in getting in touch with the airport transfer company and they also have cars for hire with driver for the local sightseeing. I would recommend to use their service for local sightseeing. The opportunity to use the pedal boats, fishing rods and kayaks on demand was a bonus. The pool was pretty nice too.
