    Pros +

    • The view from the room is amazing and nice to have balcony. You look out over the water and velodrome. The restaurant serves excellent food is great that it is a lounge day time with free coffee if you need to catch up with emails and do some travel planning. It was nice to walk around the area around the small beach and water.
    • The vibes! Didn’t come for the races but still loved the atmosphere. Restaurant was good, convenient location for taxis to head to the port for Naoshima.
    • I loved our room with a view to the sea and also the racing track. It was so cool to come back to our room in the evening and also to wake up with the view. The hotel staff was also super helpful and friendly. The public bath is also recommended, as it was a pretty nice place to rest including a sauna. Great breakfast options as well. Lots of asian and western options to choose from.

    Cons -

    • The double room was very small.
    • The public bath temperatures were pretty extreme compared to the usual in Japan. Hot bath was boiling, cold plunge was too cold. Hard to enjoy.
    • It is a tiny bit far away from public transportation, like bus or train from Uno station, but they provide a shuttle and a taxi ride is about 1000 yen or less. So not a major problem.

Beautiful view, fun bicycle themed motif and modern art decor. Great bathroom with view. Lovely balcony with view of water. Excellent buffet breakfast with Japanese and western options. Our room for four was spacious and comfy.

I booked for the lovely water view, not understanding that the property is part of a large bike racing track involving betting. We ended up liking this also but it was surprising.

Quirky and unique experience. Our stay coincided with the midnight bike racing, which was fun to experience.

We arrived in the evening so we asked to reserve a table at the hotel restaurant. However we didn’t know the restaurant and bar would be closing only 30 minutes later. Had we known we would have gone into town and enjoyed our dinner.

The design of the hotel was playful, and we enjoyed watching the races each night of our stay.

There was no advance notice that the onsen and laundry amenities would be completely unavailable for the entire duration of our stay. The staff explained that this is because the services are reserved for the racers on race days. However, I think it would be perfectly reasonable to allow hotel guests to use the amenities during limited/specific hours on those days. If we knew this before checking in, we should have chosen alternative accommodations.

It is practical fro Naoshima excursion 3 minutes to the ferry.Nice spa.

The room is definitely too small. We had to keep our luggage on the balcony. Not joking, Happy having no rain. Breakfast is mediocre

Amazing views of the Keirin track and the inland sea. The staff were very friendly and helpful, both at reception and in the restaurant. The racing pyjamas in the room were a very cute touch!

The room was tiny and the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. It was hard to get a good night's sleep.

    7MoniquePosted on: 4-18-2025

Quiet , clean and nice hotel.

The location was far from the center and the ferry. The western breakfast was poor. No fresh fruit, no bread, no toaster, no cheese, no ham.

    7SimonePosted on: 4-17-2025

The location was good and easy to get to.

The double rooms are really small and only suitable for a single person. The pillows are not very comfortable.

Great hotel, staff are really helpful, beds are really comfortable, restaurant’s really good. The view from the rooms is fantastic - sets it apart from your normal hotel.

    8Stan62Posted on: 4-15-2025

super good place to stay before visiting the islands (Naoshima & Teshina) - excellent facilities for laundry - friendly and helpful staff, providing all sort of useful information about trips to islands

the type of food proposed at the nearby restaurant is not typical Japanese, or at least not of the best type and that's too bad - when you travel so far, you'd like your udons, ramens, etc,.. Also, the beds are equipped with just one pretty small and thin pillow.

    9BennyPosted on: 4-14-2025

Beautiful balcony overlooking the keirin race track. staff were friendly, room was UNIQUELY designed to fit the keirin theme, with racks and cycle related decors. Bath had not online onsen but a sauna. Taxi fee of up to 1000 yen was covered to the hotel at check in.

I think coin laundry was only available on certain days.

    8Stan62Posted on: 4-13-2025

Great staff, very friendly and effective -they are used to people going to the Museums on the island and provide good advice and shuttle service to the ferries - good location (in order to have a nice view from the room, you can't be right on the ferry harbour - rather on the other sideo of the hill - this means using taxis for 1000 yen from the station - But they can be reimbursed when you check in against receipt) - good onsen (but you don't have to use it, you also have bathroom in your room) and great, easy to use laundry facility even when you're not Japanese speaker!

the menu at the nearby restaurant is really too far off from Japanese gastronomy, that's a pity - Traditional Japanese food is sooooo good, and there is no real alternative in Uno

    7EagenevePosted on: 4-12-2025

I booked this hotel thinking that it was very near the ferry for Naoshima and Teshima islands, which was the case, but it was good 25' walk away. The rooms are really tiny, the restaurant is so-so, the view is lovely, the onsen very modern and nice. One needs to be a fan of the Keirin bicycle race in order to fully appreciate the hotel. Staff does not speak anything but Japanese and reserve a taxi is all but impossible. One needs good planning in order to enjoy the stay fully.

Very difficult to interact with staff. They are super-kind, but do not speak English and communication is hard. The restaurant is so-so. The rooms are tiny.

    Fun design

Suite was described as having a separate living room with the extra bed ( for child) which implies a wall and door. In fact it’s one large room.

    8MaratPosted on: 4-1-2025

    - amazing Japanese breakfast - helpful staff- vending machine at the property - reliable wi-fi- tea facilities - great shower- balcony with the view of the cycling track- great hotel merchandise (a bit expensive)

    - quite a walk to the Uno port (but you can rent bicycles at the property)

A full thematic hotel located on the bike racing stadium (no race when we were staying but you could watch it from your balcony). Room are very small but very nicely organized with many details on the bike thematic. Was very fun!

    10DhadchiPosted on: 3-26-2025

Hotel sign: "No cheering for athletes, please." Me: Huh? Weird rule. Looks out the window, me now: Ah... yeah, that tracks! Great peaceful location with the cyclists :)

    10NataljaPosted on: 2-25-2025

I like everything about this hotel, but especially the location and the view. It’s a 15-20 minute walk to the station, so it’s a bit quieter, which I prefer. You can see the sea and race track from all rooms :-)
