Zoe's Paradise Waterfront Hotel

Polite staff and an excellent view of Lake Toba. Tranquil. Had an excellent traditional massage at the pool house as well.

Everything was fine. We did a 30-minute jet ski ride for IDR 900K, arranged by our tour guide.

We checked in on New Year’s Eve and the fireworks went on until about 1am, which made it hard to rest after the long trip from Medan. Also worth noting if you’re travelling with elderly family members: the breakfast area is on Level 1 and requires using the stairs (most resorts in Tuk Tuk, Samosir do not have elevators), while the lobby and some rooms are on higher levels. Not a big issue for us, but something to be aware of.

There were mosquitoes in the common area, though there weren’t any in the rooms Though bathroom was big but the floor banking was a bit off as the water drain was closer to door, hence the entire bathroom floor would flood after shower. If the shower area was separated, it would have been better.

First room offered was a bit small, but with an upgrade I had a spacious one with a great view over Lake Toba.Clean and modern - a lot of amenities. Staff very helpful, with motorbikes available for rental. Nice pool (last stop on my trip, so I splurged a bit).

The thing we liked the most was the staff. We have experienced friendly staff in a lot of places, but here people go out of their way to be the friendliest staff possible. Great service, always a smile, thinking with us, giving great tips and recommendations and everyday a great job.Other than that we liked the food, the rooms, the overall service, the location. Would definitely return here.

The showers are getting hot, but the pressure is a bit low. Also, it might happen that one person showers, and person 2 doesn't get hot water anymore because the tank is empty (or something like that).

the staff are the kindest people on earth. I had a wonderful time and enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was included and amazing! they went above and beyond to help me arrange transportation and activities.

I had to rotate charging, I had a bunch of electronics, there's only one accessible outlet. did not detract from my stay at all

We love staying at Zoe's - The property is well maintained, foods are great, staffs are friendly, and the view from our room was breathtaking!

The staff at this hotel went out of their way to please! They were so kind and generous. They even gave me gifts as a token of their appreciation. The location was exceptional. The service was exceptional and the room was very clean

Fantastic location. Lovely rooms. Very good breakfast. But the best thing was the staff. They were great. Very friendly, very helpful, very pleasant. They are a credit to the hotel.

Staff speak superb and clear english and are very friendly, attentive and efficient. Breakfast food is awesome and very filling. Coffee's great! Bed is comfortable with 2 types of pillows (high/low pillow) and clean everywhere. Hot shower available! Great view of lake from level 4. Near restaurants/eateries.

For the price paid, would really hope there will be aircon and to keep the mozzies out. Hot water takes time to replenish, so wait for a while before next person bathes! Note there are stairs.

Breakfast is delicious and big serving. Fruit juice soursop is taste original. Able to get 2nd helping. The property has everything. Cultural day trip, massage, good food. Property is very clean in the room, room’s toilet, pathway outside room, cafetaria. Very clean

No lift. If stay at L3, cannot see lake toba and swimming pool. But its good for guests that have leg problems to go up and down the stairs. Food serving can be served in the room

The staff were friendly and helpful, and their energy was infectious.I booked a massage package with the hotel, and my masseur, Lenna, was exceptional. She was able to identify the stress points in my body and worked to relieve them. Her service was heartfelt, and I was so impressed that I booked her for both days of my stay. After each session, my tense and tired body felt much more relaxed.

There were too many mosquitoes in the restaurant; it felt like a mosquito attack.

The breakfast is good, staffs are nice and helpful.

The pickup service — 5km for Rp 100,000 by motorcycle from Tomok to Tuk Tuk!!! Are you crazy? Especially after I grabbed a motorcycle from Siantar to Ajibata about Rp 120,000 for 35 km.

Great location right on jetty for ferry. Lovely style of accommodation. Large room with very comfortable bed. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food was great. Lovely pool and area for sunbathing. Owner was lovely. Nothing negative to say here. We loved it.

The best way I can describe Zoë's is to say that it's an absolute pleasure to stay there. If you have made it as far as lake Toba I hope you aren't expecting a western style business hotel. With that said, the standards here are high and everything most travellers might want is available. What makes it a real pleasure is the staff who are so happy and friendly that you can't avoid being happy yourself. We were lucky enough to meet one of the owners who was also very friendly and helpful and explained some of the background of the hotel. They are really trying to do the right things for their staff and the local area. Just another reason to choose Zoe's. Do choose a lake view room because the view is amazing. We didn't want to leave. That's our best recommendation!

Perfect location on lake front with own jetty stop for ferry and easy access to rest of Tuk Tuk . Lovely breakfast overlooking lake and enjoyed our restaurant meal with same view. All staff exceptionally welcoming, friendly and helpful. Everywhere in hotel ( inside and pool area/ gardens well looked after.. Melanie was a delightful host and clearly cares about her hotel and staff. We had a full day sightseeing with Mike ( booked through the hotel). Mike was born locally and as such gave us a great personalised tour which was good value for money.

Wasn’t a problem for us but be aware that there is no lift. Obviously staff help with luggage but you have to get yourself up and down those stairs as Reception is at street level on the 3rd floor..

It all went well, the staff were all talkative (if you approached them), and the way the hotel was managed could not be better. The entire hotel was immaculate.

The only slight issue I had was using the stairs to get down to the foyer and lower for breakfast, but that was due to my age and the fact I have misused my knees with too much hiking over the years, Not the hotel's fault.
