Everything excellent except 2 things.

Venue complex was great, there were good restaurants in the area without having to go outside public roads.

Breakfast and dinner was okay. Many varieties but could've been better.Bathroom was not private enough.Requested the king size bed but turns out it was 2 twin beds merged into 1.

Batonica is genuinely a gorgeous place to stay. The furniture, finishes, and overall design feel premium, and the operation is extremely organized and systemized. Everything seems measured and controlled, and in many ways that’s impressive.That said, the level of strict process comes at a cost: the guest experience can feel less warm and less “at home.” Staff appear to have so many procedures and limitations that it reduces their freedom to be helpful in a natural, flexible way.One example: my child accidentally broke a small item in the room (a water glass/cup). I was contacted during the day via WhatsApp with a message saying it was broken and the cost was X. I understand the policy and I’m happy to cover damages, but contacting a guest in the middle of a vacation day for something minor felt unnecessary and stressful. This could be handled more discreetly at checkout, or at least in a softer way.

No much soundproofing and room area is small. Staff need to be more educated with English language. The breakfast is more fit to Asian no much options for Arabic food.

The room was clean, comfortable and spacious. The hotel offered a lot of options for the breakfast. I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel.

Everything was amazing and the hotel staff are very friendly, my son fell sick and they offered complimentary ride to the clinic and even picked us up when we was done with treatment

When i checked in I didn’t expect the room size i booked the normal room and it was very tight we could barely walk around 2 adults and 2 kids and i had to upgrade to their biggest suite

The receptionist Ami was little tough

it is an experience that will not be repeated again.

First, the receptionist was not friendly. Second, she used threatening language with us regarding smoking and took a 500,000 in cash room deposit as grantee from us just because we are Arabs. Third, the location of the room is very bad as it overlooks on the street and the hotel entrance and there is a great deal of noise from motorcycles, cars and people’s voices no privacy at all. Also the breakfast wasn’t that good unfortunately. Honestly, it is an experience that will not be repeated again.

Nice reception area, and the room was good. I wouldn’t rate it a five stars hotel though. 3 or 4 stars service.

The staff could have been trained to fix issues. Not only apologize. Food and services at the restaurant needs to improve. I had dinner at steak restaurant, food didn’t come in order, my daughter finished her dish before everyone else receives theirs. They were just asking me to wait, and wouldn’t remove the mandatory service charge!! Also the blanket, they told they ran out of blankets. My kids (in a family room) had to sleep without a proper cover. They also didn’t provide 4 towels sets. The house keeping has to ask for a permission to bring ones, they brought two sets only!

We really liked our stay, the facilities and the breakfast, restaurant and the view. The location is good to visit other spots in Puncak. The weather is another story very cool weather ??

The hotel is beautifully perched on a mountain, offering a breathtaking landscape view and a peaceful ambiance. I stayed in a corner room, which was spacious and very comfortable. However, the standard rooms appeared quite small in comparison.Staff & Service•Ami at the reception was professional and very helpful from all aspects.•Rudy, the manager, was accommodating in arranging transportation for us from Puncak to Jakarta and even helped with a currency exchange.•Vira in the restaurant was kind and cheerful.•Chef Rifat was exceptionally kind and attentive. I asked for mangosteen, which was not available in the kitchen, and he went out of his way to get it from another kitchen and brought it to me. He also recommended a delicious Indonesian breakfast with coconut, which I truly enjoyed. The next day, he made sure to include bala-bala, which wasn’t available the previous day, in the buffet. Thank you, Chef Rifat, for your exceptional care and dedication!⸻Spa ExperienceThe spa is located in a neighboring 4-star hotel, just one minute away by car. Although the hotel itself is basic, the massage rooms are clean, calming, and well-maintained.Special thanks to the spa receptionist, a gentleman who was incredibly kind and helpful. He made sure everything went smoothly and even offered me a discount, which I really appreciated.⸻Room & HousekeepingI stayed in room 2319, and the housekeeping team (two friendly gentlemen) were excellent—always smiling, attentive, and thorough. Thank you for your great work.The shampoo, conditioner, and body creams provided were of very high quality, clearly infused with essential oils, and smelled amazing.However, the room only came with two refillable water bottles. While I appreciate the eco-friendly approach, it was slightly inconvenient to call every time we needed a refill. I would suggest offering more bottles or an automatic daily refill without the need to request it.

Arrival & Check-inWe arrived around 10:00 AM, well before the check-in time. Unfortunately, we were only given the room an hour before the official check-in, which felt a bit inconvenient considering our early arrival.General FacilitiesThe Botanica is a relatively small hotel, which gives it a cozy and quiet atmosphere. However, it’s important to note that:•There are only two restaurants.•The rooftop swimming pool is lovely but the only recreational facility available and a beautiful garden.While the setting is charming, those expecting full resort amenities may find it a bit limited.Room Service & Dining ExperienceRoom service needs significant improvement.•On the first day, I ordered a burger and specifically requested raw onions instead of fried, and made sure pickles were included, as listed on the menu. Unfortunately, the burger arrived without pickles, and the onions were fried, which was the opposite of what I asked for. This likely happened because the staff member did not understand English well.•On the second day, I ordered mushroom soup, clearly stating I wanted it hot, but it was served cold and in a very small portion (around a quarter of a small bowl). Even after returning it for reheating, it came back cold again.•I also ordered nuggets for my daughter with mayonnaise, but it was delivered without mayonnaise.As for the breakfast buffet:•Many of the dishes were cold, which reduced the enjoyment of the meal.•The menu was repetitive, with very little variation across days.•There were no labels on some dishes, such as the sushi, which made it unclear what each item contained.Language BarrierA notable issue during our stay was the language barrier. Some of the reception staff and room service team could not understand English well, which led to several miscommunications.

Carelessness of staff towards guests rests and peace of mind. As an example on 04/05/2025 at night as soon as we prepared ourselves for sleeping after a restless tour day, all of sudden strange and annoying noises started which disrupted our sleep. I tried several times to get red of that noise but without success, instead one of the staff shouted impolitely and ignored my request. The whole night we were awake as we were uncertain when this noise stop.At last that miserable night passed and after breakfast directly we decided to leave this hotel and for that I called the receptionist for porter help for the luggage, but in-spite of assurance that he is on they way but in reality no one showed up and ultimately my wife and I had to carry 5 pieces of luggage to the reception for check out were my driver came and took the luggage to the car.
