Place is good, very quiet.Room prices itself is cheap

The buffet dinner in 苍海 cost 9900yen/person, and the quality is not satisfying. To be honest, I personally would think the food only worth 3000 for most, including the consideration of busyness in this period and the inconvenience in such mountain area. The cover of quilt has some rough flax area attached with it, causing some etching feeling.

Beautiful place with fantastic mount fuji view. You can enjoy walking and play indoor (Basket Ball, Table Tennis, Badminton) and outdoor games (Tennis, FreezBee, Trampoline, Zipline). Nice Onsen and hot water pool

The location is great and that is why we went there the second time, but there will not be a third time.

There were a centipede and a cockroach in the room. The beds were not comfy at all, end up with some allergies on my skin. The washlet in the toilet did not work. Overall, the location is nice but the room should be cleaned deeply and maintained. When we told the hotel staff, all they did was to apologize and nothing else.

Nature, you can find poo poo of animal (deer?) on the grassland. I think they did clean up regularly, just cannot predict the wild animal nature call schedule.

The building and facilities were too old. And there was a hole (like the Tom & Jerry one) in between 2 beds. I think it's for the electrical wires, but the hole was too big for a few wires and I would think insects or Jerry as accompany? Just my imagination.

The room was very comfortable and spacious by Japanese standards. There's a free shuttle bus operation between the station and the hotel. The location is very nice with good views.

It's a bit far from the heart of Shuzenji.

There were some staff who can fluently speak english. The place gave us countryside vibes and is literally located in countryside of Japan. So if you want a peaceful & relaxing place to stay , this is the place for you when in Izu or after you went for a swim at Shirahama. About an hour from Shirahama Beach in Shimoda. They have onsen and indoor pool as well. I’ve noticed a free shuttle bus going to the onsen , spa & pool.

I know this is an old hotel and the first place we arrived at seems a bit creepy for us. Thank God after calling from their old hotel lobby we were transferred to a less older version of the hotel. Gives us very old style Japanese vibes even in the rooms with their designs and furnitures. But we were surprised that we had a sound sleep during our stay. Though at room 228 my brother told me there’s a bug ? crawling at the entrance of their room. The place is huge so be sure you have company as always.

The onsen and the sentó were good. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were very helpful The location and setting of the hotel was very good.

The air-conditioning was very noisy and did not heat the room enough. Having to go by car car to the Marriott Hotel for breakfast was not good. One had to pay extra for using the onsen.

The nature around was nice. Very spacious and overall clean. The hot spring was also nice and spacious. I think it was a very good price.

There is nothing nearby. For getting food you need to do it by car. The restuarant only offers quite pricey options. There was no wifi and the furniture is a bit old. Totally needs a renovation.

Low price is really the key attraction, there is Osen bath which is also good.

Very old of the building no elevator, and super bad smell in the room. the table when I wipe it the tissue is full of dust. staff can not speak English and is the stereotype fake politeness while wasting my time because she can not communicate properly. Location is poor if u don’t drive don’t even go there. One more thing, they don’t offer tooth brush

We were told onsen is open till 12 noon but at 10am they told it is closed for cleaning and we were told to go to another nearby property (marriott) for onsen. This delayed our schedule a lot.

- Gorgeous view since the hotel located up the mountain.- Very quite place.- Spacious room.

- It's not a big deal but most of the A/C remote control in Japan are in Japanese language which is a bit inconvenience.

Huge and clean rooms, it’s quite old but very well mantained. great onsen with sauna and rottenburo. We are 5 persons and stayed very comfortably here. It’s a very well equipped hotel at this proce. It exceeded our expectations

It might be little convinient if you don’t bring your own car but they have shuttle running very frequently. Also I think the breakfast is quite too expensive.

The location was great, in the middle of the forest with a beautiful view and fresh air.

This hotel has several buildings and the building we stayed in was terrible because it was full of stairs and no elevator. In order to reach our second floor room we had at least 3 parts where we had to go up and down the stairs. Even from the entrance to the building there was no smooth way over the small stairs. It was a trouble for us because we have a 4 years child and a baby so we were full of luggage. But happily the staff of the hotel helped us. Also we didn't have wifi in the room and we had to pay for amenities and onsen. So we definitely don't recommend it for families with babies, charged with a lot of luggage and kids, nor for disabled persons because it's impossible to go up and down all those stairs and uncomfortable to ask the staff of the hotel for help.

We booked 2 nights and had a horrible room, in the 'Cottage' area. The people downstairs partied until 3 a.m. so no sleep. The staff felt sorry for us as the 2nd night also had a group of 7 people. They found us a very nice room in the 'Guest House' area. So half of our stay was nice. The staff, particularly Mr. Igo was very kind and helpful. Saw Mt. Fuji once, for a few minutes. That was nice.

Homepage and actual place 2 different worlds. ホームページ内容と実際がぜんぜん違います。The photos are Very Inaccurate! The homepage boasts: wi-fi, indoor swimming pool, designated smoking areas, sports facilities, and NON-SMOKING ROOMS. Not TRUE! When booking I was led to believe I could get a non-smoking room. Only after I had paid and kept pushing, I found out not an option. Maybe in the much more expensive Guest House. The online help was meager and unhelpful, even writing in Japanese. Not good! The 'Cottage' rooms are big but are old and musty and well, smell of decades of cigarette smoke. There is NO Wi-fi in the 'Cottages' Just a few, far 'wi-fi' spots. No indoor swimming. An older, but fairly nice Japanese onsen (spa). There is no 'sports center' just a very old gymnasium with some basketball hoops and ping-pong tables with numbers hastily written on pieces of paper. Rather sad. The 'buffet' meals are very basic and very very over-priced. You are trapped there so if no transportation you are out of luck, so if no vehicle, bring your own food! The very expensive restaurant caters to golfers, a sign actually says that. So beware. Maybe 30 years ago it was a nice resort. Now it is just very over-priced and over advertised and mis-leading. If you are a non-smoker, BEWARE.

We liked the facilities such as onsen and the property of the hotel.The guest house given to us was very spacious and had all the facilities.

The guest house wasn't very clean and as we entered in it we saw a big cockroach running in the room.Also the location of hotel was outside of city which was very inconvenient.If you have dietary restrictions please make sure you carry your food with you or at least have a meal before entering the hotel property. We had to go out of the hotel property to have dinner because they could not provide us anything.Also the breakfast prices are very high and not worth it.
