    • The room accommodated our family of 5, and the hotel breakfast is one of the best I’ve ever had. The onsen was wonderful.
    • Everything was perfect for us: Location: conveniently close to the Kawazu station (15 mins by walk), hotel provides shuttle services for pick-up and drop-offAmenities: Spacious room with balcony and sea view. All the required amenities present inside the room. One of the best hotels we have stayed in Japan.Hotel also has a pool which is open from July to September and cleanly maintained.Beach access: Imaihama beach is just at the backside of the hotel with very clean black sand beach and perfect waves.Hot spring was cherry on the cake, separate ones for men and women with all the required facilities inside. Hotel also has 2 restaurants one Japanese and other one French serving breakfast, lunch and dinner (we didn’t try though). Also, it has got library, kids play room etc. Overall perfect hotel.

The location of the hotel is perfect, with all rooms facing the ocean. The sound of the waves is so soothing, and the night pool is one of my kids’ favorites. The beach is just a 50-meter walk from the pool, making it very convenient and relaxing. You can easily stay here without ever needing to leave the hotel. We absolutely love the interiors it really feels like you’re on a true vacation, somewhere far from the usual. The staff and amenities are superb. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. It was our second time here, and we will definitely be back again.

Well equipped. Ready for families with kidsNice location and great stayGreat breakfast

Some facilities were still closed. Like the poolside bar, beach house and some restaurants

Exceptionally clean with access to Onsen! Staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel offers shuttle bus into town to buy groceries. 5 minute walk to local train station. Great buffet breakfast! Very relaxing beach vacation!

Rooms are a little dated, but pool, beach and onsen make up for it. We really enjoyed our stay.

Sea view room is great. Impressive hotel grounds with beautiful design features. Great Onsen. Friendly helpful staff.

The hotel restaurants were disappointing - the staff were very reluctant to welcome guests without bookings and they were quite expensive.

    10AshleighPosted on: 4-10-2025

We had an overnight stay for our anniversary and to see the kawazu zakura. We had dinner at the hotel (french restaurant) and it was great!

    7AllisonPosted on: 4-9-2025

We had a lovely beach view room from the 15th floor which also overlooked the pool. The staff was friendly and the grounds looked nice. They have a nice gathering area above the lobby that has a play area for kids. That area was bright and welcoming. It felt a bit like a public library meets IKEA.

I didn't visit the hot spring because I have a tattoo and they don't allow tattoos. I still had to pay a hot spring fee when I checked out. The hotel itself felt more like Waikiki, Hawaii from the 1980s. It was a bit dated and the breakfast buffet felt like I was at summer camp and not a luxury hotel. The bar area looked like a dark lava pit which wasn't inviting to me. I was interested in getting a massage but when I went to inquire, at 7pm, no one was at the massage reception to answer any questions. They also didn't have anyone available in the morning when I tried again around 8:30am.

We loved the view from our room, relaxed in beautiful hot springs, and ate absolutely delicious food. Our meals at "Nanadaru" and Tappenyaki "Shiosatei" were especially superb. All the hotel and restaurant staff were so nice.

    9AmyPosted on: 3-24-2025

Very nice hotel, rooms are a little dated but still very comfy, spacious and clean. Breakfast was a good mix of western and Japanese buffet, tried dinner at the Japanese restaurant - was extremely delicious. Staff were all really nice and extremely helpful. Good location to explore Izu as well.

    9NaumanPosted on: 3-23-2025

    Lovely staff, beach, onsen, shuttle,sunrise!

You are kind of forced to eat their restaurant food because of location and transport. Also, there was someone smoking upstream from my hvac supply!

    9VladPosted on: 3-13-2025

Very nice hotel overall. Friendly staff, clean room, well equipped room with comfortable bed. Good facilities including sauna and hot spring bath. Free shuttle going in and from Kawazu station regularly.

Unless you're coming in during summer to stay at the beach, the location can be somewhat incovenient, as there is nothing much nearby in terms of entertainment or stores. Due to this, the expensive breakfast options are a minus for me. However, especially during Sakura season, the ~10-15 minute walk to Kawazu can be very pleasant if you're up for it.

    10ShanePosted on: 3-12-2025

This was a wonderful hotel and I would go back in a flash. It is right on the beach. We were there in February so the pool was closed but the onsen was open. Went there in the morning and last thing in the evening. The rooms are nice and big. Try and get a seaside facing room to enjoy the beach and the rising sun. The staff were friendly. All in all a great experience. Also there is a free shuttle bus to Kawazu town but there is also a train station near the hotel.

The bar was closed but that was because it was the off-season. There are vending machines and a shop selling beer and snacks.

    10LucyPosted on: 3-12-2025

So glad we chose this hotel right on the sea. It has a lovely Hawaiian vibe, tastefully decorated. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need, with a view over the ocean. A shuttle bus runs regularly to take you to Kawazu's local amenities.
