Staffs were very friendly and available all the time. 5-10 minutes away from the international airport.

Hotel Thilon is a fine place to stay after a long flight to Sri Lanka. It's close to CMB airport (10 minute drive) and staff accommodated my early arrival time. Had some issues with my room (A/C and toilet) and staff switched me to better room with zero complaints. Very filling Sri Lankan breakfast. Staff are nice and really want to make the most of your stay.

Great hotel near the airport with friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the breakfast is excellent with a good variety of options. Highly recommended for both short stays and overnight layovers.

Everything is very clean and tidy, the bed is white and cozy. The owner is very friendly and caring. It is not far from the airport. If you arrive hungry, do not worry, you will definitely be offered something to eat.

I booked a room upgrade, but the room I was given had mould all over the walls, smelled like stale cigarettes and the room window was smashed in the corner and had no way to lock, which is not safe if you were to leave the room. For the price, I wouldn’t recommend, there are other places close by that are for the same price and have better rooms

The hotel is a 10 minute drive to the airport. The air-conditioning in the room was good.

The room was nothing like the pictures, there was mould on the walls and the bathroom door lock broken, the room was generally dirty. Staff lock the gate at 9pm which means to enter the property you must call: for us, this process worked fine but as the staff didn't promptly respond to a late arrival, the guests banged loudly on the gate disturbing us. Upon arrival, we asked the manager to book a taxi for 7am the next day, he didn't do this resulting in us needing chase up when the taxi didn't arrive. When the taxi driver did arrive, he was unsure how to get to the departure terminal - fortunately we had time. Only benefit was the taxi was cheaper than PickMe.I particularly say to tourists spending a final night in Sri Lanka, staying at this hotel is not a pleasant way to end your trip.

The only thing I like about the property was the staff manager working there. He made a lovely omelette and transitional Sri Lankan curry for us.

The property looks nothing like the photos. The cleanliness was very bad ants all over the bathroom. The bathroom smelt bad. There was no duvet cover when I asked for one a big blanket was brought to me. The whole property is moldy outdated and in very bad condition. I wouldn’t recommend it even if for one night.

they arranged my airport pick with out any hassle.. very near the airport and they have a restaurant available for in house guest .. ice cold beer was a bonus .. ideal for the airport passengers

The staff greeted us even though we arrived so late at night. Showed us to our room, set up a tuktuk ride to the airport for us early in the morning, so friendly and a genuine big smile on his face. Hot shower, close to the airport, big room, it was nice to stay

Bed was sort of hard but not really a problem. The room was great

. Basic accommodation but clean . The staff member that looked after me was great,he went out of his way to assist me. To say that he's a great asset to the hotel is an understatement. Thank you for your help LAKMAL ?

Very nice host and very close to the airport with tuck tuck available from the hotel. Good size TV and nice free toiletries

I would suggest nobody should select this hotel, cot is made out of concrete, no wifi, unprofessional staff, only one staff available for all,They will not provide any proper information about your questions

The AC was not working properly (we have set 16'C and had somewhat pleasant temperature in the room (which we usualy achieved by setting 25'C on other ACs).The door from the bathroom were not possible to close.The host asked us about the time of our flight and promised to call a tuktuk taxi for us, being ready at 8:30. At 8:30 we couldn't find anybody around, no tuktuk, no host. After a while we found someone from the staff and he called the tuktuk for us, coming in 10 minutes. Not a pleasant experience to get any kind of delay before the flight :-) fortunately, the airport is a few minutes from the accommodation.

Close to the airport

we were checking in at about 4 o’clock in the morning. Although we had told them this, when we arrived we could not get in the gate despite ringing the bell and calling their phone multiple times. We were about 30 seconds away from having the taxi driver take us somewhere else when somebody finally woke up after about 10 minutes. There were also mosquitoes in the room but no mosquito netting over the bed. The location of the hotel itself had lots of piles of garbage around it. We were not expecting fancy, but we did not feel 100% safe.
