The Beach Boutique Hotel Pamunugama

I had a mixed stay at the hotel. The staff were supportive and friendly, and the beachfront breakfast was a highlight. The room was specious with a balcony.

The room needed more attention to cleanliness. The hotel's location was a bit isolated with no nearby groceries or restaurants. Plus, noise from next door till 1:30 after midnight was a big downside.

Everything went well! I came for 2 nights as a stop in Colombo on my way to Arugam Bay. It was above my expectations. The room was large, with a balcony offering a view of the sea and pool. Very clean. The pool was clean and nice to swim. The staff was so nice, warm, and friendly, and they helped with everything I needed. They sent me a driver to take me from the airport. The food was great and tasty. The place is quiet and you can take a walk on the beach straight from the hotel garden. I didn't go around in the neighborhood because I didn't stay in Colomco, so I don't know if the location for traveling is good, but for my own purpose, it was perfect for me. Thank you for the amazing hosting, I'm sure I'll get back there on my way back. highly recommended.

The dining area and the bar is right next to the sea. All other facilities were great including the outdoor swimming pool and large rooms.The food was fantastic too.Should also mention the friendly staff that made the stay extra memorable.

Lovely tranquil hotel with very attentive staff overlooking the beach. Best pool of our entire month in Sri Lanka. Food cooked fresh to order.Strong currents mean you are advised not to swim in the sea. Lovely rooms. Easy transfer to airport and close enough to do day trip to Colombo.

Very good location after flight . Place is beautifull with big swimming pool in front of the beach. Personnal very nice and food very good also.

Great Pool with half of it in the shade. Good bar service to enjoy my last relaxing day before flying out.

Access to the beach was available, but questioned by staff why I wanted to go for a walk on the beach and talked out of it.

Everything was very clean. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly.

Nothing to complain

Nice accommodation, the rom was big enough, pool in the hotel area was great. You can go directly to the beach. Hotel is about 20 minutes ride from airport. We can have airport transport and early check in so it was very good benefit after long flight.

It is in the middle of nowhere. It is not possible to enter the sea here (safety reasons)

Friendly staff. Rooms and spaces very nicely decorated with sea/shells. All very clean. Bathroom looked great-well above (Sri Lanka) standard. Many little details to make person feel good. Thanks.

Breakfast was really good. They prepared fresh fruit, eggs, pancakes, everything with care.

There was a party next to the hotel , but the music was not really heard from inside the rooms.

Used this hotel for overnight stay prior to airport departure early next morning.Arrived late, but great that the kitchen was still open. Enjoyed a reasonable meal and the hotel looked very nice and beachside at the back with an attractive swimming pool.Room was comfortable and was advertised with Wifi. This was very spotty and unreliable and basically didn't work at all for a few hours.

This hotel is still a fair way away from the airport. Allow plenty of time to get there with traffic.During our 1 evening there, a business document needed to be sent. Despite best efforts it took a number of hours to get the WiFi to work reliably.

Staff tried their best

We arrived seeing an event from an investment company, we were not told but was loud, and we could not even use the facilities (pool etc.). Then we could only start sleeping 11:30pm when the music finally ended (with young kids). If we just would have been informed, but were totally surprised. The rooms and the facilities were almost disgusting, we didn't feel comfortable at all. Would never recommend to go there again
