- The room was extremely comfortable, especially the bed. The blanket was really heavy and there was an electric heating pad under the sheet. The ondol underfloor heating helped make it extremely cozy. Around the hotel, the views of the mountains were spectacular, and it was located next to a stream which had relatively flat paths which I enjoyed running along. There were many nearby hiking trails, and it would be a good base to see Jirisan for travelers with their own transport. There are maybe 5 or 6 restaurants within walking distance

- In general the hotel had an old vibe. The bathroom was cold but warmed up quickly when the shower was turned on. The area immediately around it has no convenience stores, only a very small Hanaro Mart that is only open form 10am to 6pm. There is very little public transport access, though the nearest big town, Namwon, can be reached via a 10,000 won taxi ride. The name, Namwon Hotel, is thus a little misleading
