Resorts World Genting - RW Hotel (Formerly known as Highlands Hotel)

Booked the luxury staycation package and was pleasantly surprised when we first got in the room with soft toy and welcome note. There was a daily turn down service that came with small gifts as well.

Location is a little far from main shopping area.

We arrived late and was told that we had been upgraded, little did I know to the most amazing room with all the bells and whistles, absolutely amazing with our own shower that turns into a steam room in 10 min,. We also got a welcome teddy and fruit ?? plater that was replenished the next day, I just wish we were staying for longer, the service and staff were the best I have experienced in a very long time.if you are staying in Genting Highlands this is probably one of the best.great comfortable bed and coffee making facilities etc etc

The way there is not signposted until you are literally 1 minute away from it and the maze like structure you have to go through is over 2000 steps each time.Breakfast floor is under reconstruction and despite breakfast being paid for in the booking you don't get it.Staff are unaware the floor is under refurbishment and all we got told was we have to pay for another breakfast in another hotel if we want to eat. The location and the view is amazing, you can go to the mall and cable cars to the outlet and Chinese temple easily.

The room was spacious, and the amenities were excellent.The bathroom was also spacious. It included a bathtub and a shower box.

It took us a while to figure out the shortcut to the mall. Sadly, there wasn't any concierge desk. We had to ask the receptionist who also didn't have enough information to help us.

The suite was comfortable and of a good size. Was conveniently located. in room facilities were great.

The breakfast was a poor substitute for this good a property. Room Service was non-existent.

trainees could have been trained to understand better as I was told that there is no booking under my name upon being guided to the self-check in. and was guided to bag deposit when we asked where we can get the refund on the deposit. the tone from the trainee kind of ruin our day.

Breakfast since is semi buffet style, choices were not that great. Could have provide with a full buffet style. Taste is overall good.

The parking at the hotel premise, the cashless system was down. Had a little hiccup during the entrance and exit at carpark.

We booked two suites and they are luxurious with walk-in wardrobe and exclusive TV in front of bath tub.

The location was less than ideal. While the walk to the main sky avenue is walkable, it is not advisable for older ppl who has either leg prob or stamina to walk back and forth everyday. When I arrived, the 2 suite given was on different floors despite making the booking together. Upon request, they only managed to put me on the same floor but rooms were separated, and they can’t make good the following day as well, giving reason that all rooms were full. Refrigerator in the room not working and took awhile to change. I needed that to store the milk for my little one. Lastly, the gym was a common one share with the Grand, so I had to walk a bit to reach there. Unlikely for me to return given these factors, but younger ones who don’t mind walking a bit can still go for it.

Free coffee capsules and welcoming fruits and chocolates in the room. Spacious with bathtub and separate steam room in the suite. Complimentary gym and afternoon tea at lounge.

Only managed to check into one of my rooms at 6pm; 3 hours after communicated check in timing. Worst was the fact that we were given the wrong room key and we saw a bunch of staff laughing and joking in the room before we told them the room was booked by us. Had to go main lobby to exchange for correct keys. Main Tv was also not working and we could not get past the welcome screen. After fixing it by the technicians, was unresponsive again after we switched it off.

The bell services at the lobby is superb. they really treat the hotel guest with pride and dedicated in the work. bravo!

it took 40 mins to Q to check in and on the check out day, I found out that the suites package that I booked do not required to Q and have a separate counter for express check in! no staff available at the check in area to provide guidance or help to the customer, no clear indication or sign at the check in area to inform the guest which Q is the right one. so it was really one of the worst check in experience I had in my whole life after spending almost 500 nights in hotel. It was really not acceptable for the price that I pay for a suited package to experience this horrible check in experience!

the rooms are nicely renovated.

The hot water for the shower is not hot enough, the mini fridge in the room is not working and we need to request for a change which became noisy and only works one side.

Comfortable room

They had a problem with the TV, we couldn't switch the TV off, and the technician who serviced us had to come back and forth over 7 times. I was trying to put my kid to bed, but they kept disturbing us because they couldn't resolve a simple problem.

No breakfast included, a bit pricey as no breakfast and no facilities!
