    Pros +

    • Good location and staff
    • Great location and the stuff is very nice
    • It is in the city center. It was clean, but the bathroom smelt like raticide (a really strong odour).

    Cons -

    • Less water and facilities
    • Close to 2 mosques, so you wake up at 5:40 everyday
    • Raticide smell. There may have been remodeling and refurbishing in progress (because of the disorder in the corridors of the hotel), we requested 2 single beds and we ended up in one double bed (that wasn't the biggest issue, after all). Plus, there was quite a difference between our room and the pictures shown in Booking.com.

Location is great. Not far from Bogyoke market, Sule Pagoda, Cathedral, Train Station. So many place to do shopping around!

Google map wasnt correct. its two block missed-placed, wherever you go it just wrong.

I like the location, which is one of the reasons why I chose this hotel. The staff could understand English well, so I had no problem during check in. Room is as expected, and as indicated by Booking.com. I was not expecting a good mattress, but the mattress and the linens were better than what I anticipated. Internet was surprisingly good within the room despite the note that says wifi is only available within common areas.

Breakfast was very simple, coffee, toast, butter, jam and egg. I was not expecting too much, but a fruit (banana, some watermelon or a slice of papaya) would have been a good addition. I was expecting that they will have no elevator, but I did not realize that they had very steep staircase. The air-conditioning needed some cleaning as water was dripping during my 2 nights of stay. I already mentioned this within the first hour but no one provided service. The towels may need to be changed although I was surprised that it was personalized as it has the name of the hotel. It would have been better to have some sockets for electricity placed in a better area other than near the door and where there are no tables to use to place anything that needs charging. A table and a chair in the room would have provided me better deal as I was working. If they have a table and chair in my room, I would probably chose the room more often when I am in Yangon. The toilet smells like a sewer, although you can expect this from a toilet without a window, but some air freshener would have done the trick. The sink's plumbing led to the toilet, but it does not directly discharges into the drain but on the floor of the toilet. Would have been good to have added a little more piping to make sure it goes directly to the drain. I suggest to install a double lock in the door to make the guests feel more safe when they are inside the room. Some parts of the hotel (especially the grills on the windows at the foot of the staircase, may need a bit of TLC from the management. The dust was already thick along the grills. Television had fuzzy signal, so would have been good to either change the TV or improve the reception. There was also water dripping on the hallway from another room, which I pointed out and was seen by some of the staff. The water remained there during my whole 2 nights stay.

Very friendly staff. Helpful. Thanks! Comfy bed.

Rooms run down, but also needed a good clean. Basic breakfast. No shutters meaning bright early start!

The location is good . But the wall is very thin, can heard people talking next door. Room look different as what we seen in the photos. But the staff are friendly.

Location and Helpful staffs. Thank you for all the help!!

The hotel is old, no fresh air. A bit suffocating in some room so we like to spend more time outside. TheBreakfast is very humble - we are 5 people and got 6 slides of sandwich together with butter and jam, and drink for everyone.

The location is perfect , very easy to go everywhere. And they give us breakfast at first day i come.

my room is no window little bit different with the photo but its oke. No lift and the stair is so high . family room is in the 3rd or 4th floor so if you have any problem with you feet then ask room in 1st floor.

    6UnknownPosted on: 1-28-2020

The location was fantastic. You cannot be much more central to shopping and restaurants than Hotel Zara.

The bathroom and shower were unpleasant to use. Not outright filthy, but moldy or something. Not cringeworthy, mind you, however certainly not gleaming either.

    Location, staff

Shower doesnt work well No lift

    6LilyanaPosted on: 1-25-2020

The staff were friendly. The bed linen and towels were changed everyday and they offered fresh water everyday morning for the room.

The pictures are very deceiving, the walls are mouldy and the bathroom needed to be re tiled.

    8TheresaPosted on: 1-21-2020

Its location was superb. Staff were friendly. It was an overall pleasant stay for the price of the room.

The place was tired and old. The walls were thin and noise from the corridors / rooms could be heard. Steps were steep.

    Location was perfect

No posibility to open windows in the room and we couldnt see through window. Bad lightening.

Staff were beyond helpful and the location was ideal. Great value for money and have already booked another stay. Protected from street noise too.

Friendly stuff. Good location in town

    A bit noisy

    5MarcinPosted on: 12-27-2019

Localisation is perfect. Staff is very friendly

Hotel doesnt look like on the pictures on booking, is battered, must filled our entite room, bathroom looks horridly, mildewed and stinky. Breakfast is a joke: one egg, one tost and thats it coffee or tea to choose one.

    2PalmeritaheyPosted on: 12-25-2019

    Unhabitable room, constant water supply...

They have constant water supply cuts. The room we booked was unhabitable. If you decide to book here, avoid the room without window, it's really unhealthy to stay there due to the humidity and lack of ventilation.
