Hotel Grand United 21st Downtown

The roof terrace. The probably biggest food choice ever at the breakfast buffet - from watermelon, eggs and soups to different main courses of chicken and meat. Basically the breakfast is bigger than lunch and dinner at some restaurants..Normal water pressure in shower. Clean room. Free drinking water bottles. Good location. Almost unbelievable for a *** hotel.

Well.. The outside look and surroundings are not exactly the best.

The breakfast is very good and tastes also all except able. Location also very good for shopping and food hunting.

The voice can hear inside or outside the room if abit loud ( eg. Baby crying voice can hear outside the room)

Taps are broken They not give us tooth brush I see some insects in the room

Busy stress & dirty stress.

I didn't get it two rooms together with my family. One room is very smell bad & smoking cigarette.My family didn't like it. They give me one family room for stay together and they chage me too much for one room. I will stay this hotel for first time & last time for me. Thank you god ..

Nothing!

I arrived at 5 pm to find that my room was not ready. The clerk tried to switch me to another hotel but I refused to change. After 30 minutes I was finally given a room key. However, when I walked out of the elevator on my floor I noticed garbage piled up in the corner next to my room. I looked on several other floors and it was the same, there was garbage left all over the hotel. I went back to the front desk and told them what I had seen and for some reason they were not surprised nor did they seem to think they needed to do anything about it. I have stayed in this same hotel many times in the past and things were never like this before. It used to be a nice place.....good location, decent price and clean. Very sad to see how bad it is now..........

It is nice place for stop in Yangon for a few nights. Rooftop with a nice view. Breakfast was poor. Reception on the 4th floor, Elevator. Hotel need some renovation.

Location was great Easy to get around a few blocks from bar street. Great breakfast

The hotel is quite well located in downtown Rangoon, the staff was nice, the room had spiderwebs in the ceiling and nearby the toilet (I do not think that it is difficult to get rid of them)... Breakfast was fulfilling...

There may need a deep cleaning...

The staff were friendly and helpful from the time of arrival through to departure which helps to make an hotel stay

Though good value for money the hotel is definitely in need of refurbishment. Also the free WiFi needs to be be reliable.

Pros:- quite ok price for the area.- location is in the heart of chinatown. 3 streets away of the popular 19th street with many bars and restaurants. - friendly but a bit insecure staff as they don’t speak a lot of english. - white, clean sheets.- window could be opened.- nice views over town.- rooftop restaurant with view on shwedagon pagoda.- elevator.- complimentary toothbrush, shower gel, shampoo, tissues, water, etc…- tv, a/c, electricity plugs on each bed side.- no carpet!- hot water with ok pressure. - shops and restaurants outside.- taxi airport to the hotel was 10$ (get it from the main road) - very silent (curfew 00:00-04:00)- wifi was working ok.

Cons:- old bathtub with rusty leaking shower.- water ran all over the floor.- shower curtain with stains of rust & fungus.- one tile missing on the bathtub tiling.- old, shabby toilet seat. - light switch was defect (constantly on!) so i needed to use the main fuse to switch everything off at night. - you need to walk up one level to the first floor for the elevator. in general i was very happy to stay there. they were friendly and tried to help with the light issue. besides it was close to 19th street and sule pagoda.

Friendly staff, right from the security guys to the young ladies at the reception.They went out of the way to assist & all with a smile.The girl at the reception helped me book a cab & also shared know how on certain things i sought.

Top​ 9 floor was​ excellence​s​ service​ and​ view,,​staffs were good​ need​ improment on​ security​

the room I was in had a view of a wall. the room was a bit shabby.

Breakfast on the rooftop was great.

Room was not very well maintained and cleaned. Water dripping from the faucet.
