    Pros +

    • A very nice and friendly hotel - a good base to explore Yangon. Just outside the noise and bustle of the main area, but only a 5-10 minute safe walk to shopping malls etc.The staff could not have been nicer and more helpful, especially for anyone visiting Myanmar for the first time.Rooms are very clean and modern. Air-conditioning. Filtered water from a machine on each floor. Nice bar and restaurant/
    • Staff were friendly. Location is good. Food at the restaurant was excellent. View from the room was good too.
    • Room is well lit and clean. Very near to downtown. Very friendly and helpful staff

    Cons -

    • Restaurant plays music far too loud, especially during the day. That's it
    • The room was very small, with the sink in the bedroom and cramped shower and toilet cubicles. For the price, I was disappointed—five-star hotels nearby cost less than half and at least three times the size of the room. Reception refused to cancel my second night, so I moved to a five-star property instead. Overall, it felt overpriced and disappointing

The warm-hearted welcome, the friendly professionalism; the ambiance; the cozy rooms; the way everything is done so well, in every respect - even the eco policies

There is nothing amiss at all: top to bottom it's perfect

One of Asia’s best surprises. This hotel is a gem in Yangoon. Modern, with friendly staff, a delicious on-site restaurant, comfortable rooms with everything you need to relax, and an excellent gym for guests to use.

    I liked everything!

Breakfast was great, with Western and Asian menu options, and varied during our stay. The bar and restaurant downstairs were excellent. The staff was very helpful. They booked lunch for us on the boat. The location is close to the Scott Market and Sule Pagoda. There is a taxi at the entrance most of the time if you need to go somewhere.

Nothing. Maybe it was a bit pricey for Yangon, but overall, it was an excellent experience.

Good hotel with exceptionally helpful staff. Close to train station and walking distance to Shwedagon Pagoda. Very good Western restaurant on-site serving excellent food. We had dinner there twice. Good breakfast made to order. We had an early flight, so we were given breakfast boxes when we checked out.

The room was rather small but sufficient for a short stay. Only one coffee is included with breakfast.

Hotel G is in an excellent location, a 5 min walk from downtown Yangon. The staff are all very professional and helpful. The restaurant is excellent, I had two great meals there, very reasonably priced and with a great vibe, many locals also seemed to be eating there. Would definitely go back when I am in town again.

This is really a quality hotel with great rates and service. The restaurant/ bar is exceptional ...even with patio tables. The happy hour is a welcome after long day of touring.

Yangon and the Country has economics problems so once you a few blocks from hotel you will see desperate Folks. You are very safe!!!! But be ready to see certain realities.

This an unbelievable great value for a quality hotel. Great rooms, breakfast, and bar/ restaurant. One of the better hotels in my books and i have stayed well over a hundred hotels past 2 years. Enjoy happy hour weekday...great value too. The outside dining a treat.

The area around hotel safe but sadly Myanmar is suffering economically. But the Hotel and people of Myanmar are wonderful.

    9MichaelPosted on: 8-4-2024

Very nice rooms, modern and look new. Incredible and helpful Staff.. The hotel restaurant is also very nice with good food and service. The hotel surprised me...and at great value. Strongly recommended.

Wifi is dicey but seems much of Yangon terrible Sim and internet services available.

Quirky rooms, nice and comfortable too! Mine a a view of the sunrise. I was also allowed to check out a bit later.

Location and the Babet Restaurant at ground floor

The room is too small and the laundry service at fastet TWO DAYS.

    8BenPosted on: 5-12-2024

    Nice bar, great staff

Was quite expensive relative to other hotels - such as the bar prices.

    9MahdiPosted on: 5-6-2024

The staff were overtly helpful. In terms of concierge services, they are excellent. In terms of location, if you want, you can walk to Chinatown or other cultural/heritage/social/tourist/landmark sites, including the famous traditional market, Junction City mall, Christian churches, Muslim mosques, Buddhist pagodas, and the local banks (where you can exchange money based on the official government rate unless you decide to go to the traditional market to exchange at the higher unofficial rates). The hotel's design concept is modernist and chic/chicque. Their restaurant is expensive compared to other similar places, but has some excellent international cuisines and excellent kitchen and service staff, which attracts a lot of expats and business people for meals. It is definitely one of the best hotels you can select.

Even though I would say that they were one of the best hotels I have stayed at in the Indo-China region, For some services, like airport shuttle, the prices were much higher than other similar hotels, but they are a business in a sanctioned economy, and this is understandable. That said, this is really a great hotel that provides professional service from start to end.

    10VipawanPosted on: 4-27-2024

The hotel is conveniently located. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Facility is clean, comfortable and breakfast superb. Hotel decor is chic and the building itself historical. The view from the window is also magnificent. The room may be a bit compact but not a problem for a solo traveller. However, there is a nice working table by the window, good Internet, TV network, strong WiFi and comfortable bedding. Most of all, the hotel manager was very attentive to guest's request, showed flexibility and offered helpful support. A good value for money. Definitely a return.

There is nothing I do not like about the hotel.

    7VadimPosted on: 4-22-2024

Convenient hotel close to Yangon's historical centre. Nice bar and restaurant, although much more quite than it used to be before the regime change. Good value for money though.

Rooms are a bit too small. If you have been in other hotel G's, I guess you won't be surprised, as I think this is the style of their hotels. It would be good to have a hook for the towel outside the shower, if you don't want to place it on the sink or over the chair

Friendly and polite staff. And the restaurant/bar area. And the breakfast.

That there was no hot water in my room/bathroom. It was only lukewarm, and my showers felt cold and awful. I complained, but the next day it was still no hot water.

    8HuyPosted on: 3-25-2024

I loved the staff's friendliness, and the food was excellent. It was convenient to have the restaurant on the ground floor, and the morning coffee was both delicious and reasonably priced.

"The pillow is a little too low for me, but everything else is fine."
