The first night I was given a room i did not book due to my late arrival. Room was noisy and hindered my sleep. Hotel was full and I had to wait till the next day to get the room I initially booked.

Causeway Hotel is located in the middle of a busy, lively commercial area where you can find everything you need within walking distance. The area is safe and well-served by taxis, restaurants, shops, and other amenities. The hotel is located in an upper-middle-class area on Pahajat Sing Road, Colaba area. The hotel is within walking distance of the Gate of India and the historical Taj Hotel. The staff members are highly professional, polite, supportive, and friendly, and they make sure every guest is well taken care of. All staff, from those on the reception desk to cleaners and elevator guys, are polite, kind, and professional. I specifically thank the three staff who were extremely helpful, friendly, professional, and responsive: Mr. Zahid, Mr. Shoaib, and Mr. Rizvan. Zahid and Shoaib, who were on duty during most of my stay, did everything possible to make sure my stay was great...thanks. My room was very clean and equipped with hot water for the shower, a modern AC unit, a ceiling fan, a TV, a kettle, a small fridge, a window with curtains, and a closet with hangers. The bathroom was also clean and stocked with towels and soap. Internet Wifi was strong in my room as well as in other places, which I used in the hotel.The elevator is fully functional and consistently reliable, and customers can use the stairs if they prefer. The staff communicates easily in Hindi, Arabic, and English.

All was good and nothing to complain about.

Best location for tourism. Close to Gate of India, markets, touristic places as bars, restaurants. The entrance is stressful as it is on the market and seems dirty, but don't worry - the hotel is just 1st Floor of the building and it is clean and ok. The rooms are freshly renovated with a clean and new bathroom. There is a minibar and smart TV.

Location is really good. Walking distance to Gateway of India and Taj Hotel. Staff were friendly.

Room is quite pricey - I get that accommodation in Mumbai is expensive though. No water or coffee packs provided daily. Hotel staff liked doing work at 1am for some reason. One the first day someone was cleaning a kitchen upstairs and moving around furniture. On the third night hotel staff were taping up boxes outside the rooms. Staff also chill in the area outside the room which makes it a bit hard to have conversations inside. Seemed like the staff were waiting for a tip after every bit of help.

3 single beds rather than share a king size. Right in the heart of Colaba. Easy walk to the Taj hotel and Gateway to India.

At times difficult to access as in a busy market.Nowhere to hang clothes.

3rd floor is very noisy.2nd floor is nice and quiet.No iron or hairdryer. They should keep at reception and give to guests as they need.

Very nice location in the heart of the city with market, shops and lots or restaurants nearby, the staff is always available on reception and in every floor of the building to keep them safe, the room is decent size with two comfortable beds, working AC and clean bed sheets and towels, the room is quiet and has a small window.

They don't accept payments trough Booking and with card on spot, only in cash and preferable in local currency, the bathroom is next to the bed, separated from thin glass wall and for people that don't know each other well could be uncomfortable.

This was my 2nd stay at this hotel. It is a very good budget hotel with very helpful and friendly staff. We were 3 females travelling together and we felt safe and looked after. The room this time was at the front of the building so had the traffic sounds. Rooms at the back are quieter. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel.

The location was what draws us to Causeway. It's in the midst of the shopping street in Colaba. There's no noise in the 2nd floor rooms .We slept soundly.

Shower in the one room, the hot water stopped quickly. We stayed there 3 times in 2 weeks, and the other rooms were fine. 3rd floor is very noisy. Lots of banging from outside can be heard and rooms near reception also noisy. They need to keep a hairdryer and iron at reception for guests.

I have rated this hotel 'exceptional' based on a combination of value for money, the staff and location. We are three women travelling together. The hotel staff were very helpful and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable and (I think) good value for money for a convenient location. Although it is in a busy spot, the room was quiet. We are staying there again on our return to Mumbai and I would not hesitate to recommend it.

You had to keep pressing on the shower button, but that was not a problem.

I got up early and walked outside my room to find that the porters were sleeping in the lobby. Maybe normal in India.

Room was too small and dingy. T.V does not work. Telephone does not work. They don't have room service. They don't even keep a bottle of drinking water. Not even a jug with water.

Staff did not explain the way things work, did not own up to mistakes when pointed out, basic room amenities weren’t there, shower did not work properly.

It was right outside the markets and was walking distance to everything we needed in Mumbai
