Ascot Hotel

This was the best hotel we stayed at during our entire time in India! As we travelled to 5 cities, we went to many hotels, but Ascot exceeded our expectations! It was very clean, the rooms were very pretty and had a lot of space, we were able to have a room right next to our other family members, the breakfast was complimentary and delicious, the staff was always smiling and friendly (Nayim was especially helpful getting everything we needed), and it was very easy to get a taxi to wherever we needed to go that was farther away. It is in a great location and you can walk to restaurants, shops, and the Gateway of India from here. We look forward to coming back here in the future!

The facility and room compare to value

Good location. Quite clean, above the standard in India. Good breakfast, even it is not a buffet. The staff there was very helpfull and english speaking. It was no problem to leave our suitcases after chek-out and hang out around. There is a well organised market in the close area of the hotel.

- Location - late check-out at 2:30

- It’s definitely not an 8.6 like indicated on booking - Zero amenitities in bathroom- When we check e in there were dirty slippers left in tbe room and no small towels in the bathroom. - Room has view on an emergency staircase and an old abandoned building - noise cancellation is so bad you can hear noises coming from the street, the corridor and other rooms- Flipping doors for the bathroom, which doesn’t give any kind of privacy

Rooms are very big and very clean. Staff are very friendly and they looked after us very well . I stayed in this hotel for 10 days and I didn’t had any complaints . I will love to come back and stay with them again.

Nothing to dislike

Fabulous location for key sites, shopping, bargain browsing on Colaba Causeway, proximity to several iconic cafes/bars. Small in-house restaurant open for lunch & dinner as well as a la carts breakfast. Staff welcoming and always happy to help. Comfortable bedding and good amenities. Highly recommended.

Absolutely nothing - although perhaps for a week’s stay breakfast choices were limited.

Its location, styling, cleanliness and excellent staff.Perfect choice for walking to key locations and experiencing neighbourhood of Colaba. Several cafe/restaurant options within 10 mins walk. The hotel also has lunch and dinner service.

Couldn’t fault the hotel - although our personal preference would be a little more variety for breakfast a la carte.

Great location within a short walk of restaurants, markets, shopping and sites, attentive staff, filling breakfast in a pleasant dining room, good hot showers, very clean.

Our room directly faced a decrepit building at the back so we couldn't really open the curtains for natural light.

Thank goodness not self -service for breakfast. Personal touch. Quiet but pleasant feel to the hotel with friendly staff.

Non alcohol restaurant.

We had a very big room, the bed was comfortable and it was nice with a lot of space. The location was very good. It was close to Colaba market, the Gateway of India, Café Leopold and Marine Drive. The breakfast was good and all the staff was so nice. Recommended!

Excellent hotel in a beautiful and quiet area. High quality rooms. Great bed. Fantastic breakfast and complimentary Arabian coffee with dates. Great staff.

All the staff friendly and welcoming. Comfortable and clean room, no issues at all. Airport transfers arranged each way and everything went smoothly. Location around 15 mins walk to the gate of India and easy to walk places. Breakfast simple, although a little chaotic with orders going to the wrong tables but wasn't an issue.

No real lobby or bar area, a couple of chairs either side of the reception spaced apart from one another. The restaurant area is laid out for meals, so wouldn't feel right sitting there.

Breakfast and dinner were very good. A very good location for travelers. Ascot Hotel helped me by getting me a new hotel due to my putting in the wrong dates. Not only did they help find a substitute hotel, they paid for our taxi to the hotel and sent one of their help to the hotel. We are ever do grateful that they went above and beyond helping us. I will try and put a good review of this hotel wherever I can.

There was nothing to not like.

Very welcoming and a nice big room. Water provided as well as a delicious breakfast in the morning. Taxi service to airport.
