Garden Hotel

The hotel would not let me stay in my original booking. They moved me to a hotel down the street. My partner and I had to stay in twin beds and the room smelled like smoke.

Noting to like

Firstly the room terrible . Filthy. Staff was good but need to get a better reception and a helpful reception. Breakfeast most disgusting. U have to pay for the juice at breakfeast. Breakfeast very very very limited and tastless

Poor

The property needs a lot of maintenance. The shower was filthy and bathtub was chipped. The water leaked onto the floor out of the tub onto the rest of the bathroom floor. Very unprofessional staff who were shouting amongst themselves and using abusive language outside our room. Also very high price given the hotel needs maintenance and also more staff to run smoothly.

Good location, but would not stay there again...

The hotel was dirty and too expensive for what it was...the staff were aggressively looking for tips.

Great location and nice leafy street plus good breakfast.

Room reeked of nicotine. Couldn't change it- not good enough. All touch points ie light switches and around door handles filthy. No view.

It’s in the main city. The Taj Hotel is just behind this hotel. Everything is near and food is amazing. Definitely come back once again we come back. Nice restaurants nearby. Staff was really nice.

There was nothing to like.

The place was dirty. The second morning there was no water.The TV did not work.

The property is in Colaba and which is behind The Taj Hotel and Gate of India. That is the main attraction. And restaurants and main tourist attractions are just walkable distance .

Bad

In spite of my booking with booking.com they charged my extra money saying that my room was not available. When you have to upgrade someone you don't make him pay extra money if it is your fault.Besides, the final invoice didn't include the extra money (I received a different "invoice" on a piece of paper hand written). I guess they just put the money in their pocket.Finally, the room was FULL of mosquitos

Location that’s all

Was charged more than price quoted on booking.com. £30 more how do you explain your not prepared to pay in a different country they was having none of it.

Good location in Colaba, walking distance to Taj Hotel. Safer neighbourhood. Decent room.

Staff was very pushy in terms of getting tips - demanded to bring our carry ons to room and then forced us to tip them despite the fact we could easily bring to the room alone without their help. Same for bringing us the dinner that was supposed to be included. We felt unwelcomed.

Worse hotel

Dirtiest hotel we ever seen. Booking.com shouldn't even list such state of hotels. It doesn't match picture that's placed here. In minutes we were out from the place.

Central location in Colaba close to the Taj hotel and Gate of India

Location. Close to Gateway of India. Room is spacious.

Facility and room looked clean, but lack of detailed cleaning job. There was mold at corners of refrigerator and bathroom. Two, three staff at front door just waiting to help travelers to open the hotel door, load luggage to taxi expecting tips . The job could be well done by one person. Room towels were not changed daily and room not cleaned daily. Due to the humid weather and power off when the key out, towels could not get dry enough and after two, three days they got smelly.

I like the restaurant from neighboor hotel at 9th floor

Room didn't have any view from any window and also it was quite outdated even outside it looks presentable. It not a good value for money.

Well located.

Inefficiency of the hotel staff. 30 minutes to scan the passport. Lack of coordination and timeliness in the laundry as well.

Great location on a quiet side street. Excellent buffet breakfast, clean rooms, good housekeeping service. Reception staff very friendly and helpful.

Good location with plenty of bars, restaurants and roof top bars. Rooms are quite spacious.

A little upgrading would be nice
