Nikko Station Hotel 2

Beds were very hard.

Free baggage storage before check in. Free breakfast with a decent selection.

Quite close to the train/bus stations. Room was spacious and clean. Complimentary breakfast was simple but enough. I enjoyed it. Location is a very short walk from a grocery store and a convenience store for late night snacks.

Glazed windows

It was close to the station and it offered a good breakfast with coffee and juice.

Plywood was often used for surfaces.

The bedroom is comfortable and spacious. The hotel is very close from the station which is very convenient. The area is quiet and the hotel as well in general. We can store luggage before check-in in a secure way, perfect if we arrive early and want to enjoy the city. Staff is nice.

Breakfast is very simple, I do not really understand why there’s two type of bread, maybe switching one with rice or something else would be better :)

The cleanliness was at a relatively good level both in the room and in the bathroom. A plus was that the hotel was close to the train station.

The room (Double room, top floor) as well as the bathroom were very small and I was not comfortable enough. The hotel has larger rooms, but they were sold out when I booked. I definitely do not recommend this room for two people - the size would be comfortable for only 1 person.

Location, Staff. Provision for luggage storage even after checkout.

The bed. It's too big for the room and too small for two adults (and we're on the slimmer side). You might as well give us futons as they would be more comfortable and would open up space when not in use.

Good location, close to metro stations. The daily breakfast is ok egg, bread, salad, juice and cofee. The staff are very attentive, we were able to leave our bags after check out to tour Nikko shrines.

I liked everything

Nice sized bed!! AMAZING staff. They went above and beyond for us. So kind!! Made the whole stay so special! Short walk from the train and bus station.

The headboards and shelves are exposed plywood. Not a big deal to us at all but just a note for folks who want something more aesthetic.

Close to the Tobu train station Close to the central bus areaClose to a big supermarketA modest hotel for anyone doing a short stay in Nikko

Close to station, comfortable bed

Breakfast was 1 hard boiled egg and 1 slice of bread. That's it. Deceiving to even call that free breakfast, especially in a hiking town.

The location was perfect, just a couple meter from the Tobu-Niko starion, a big supermarket and the Bus stop. The room was very comfy, clen and have a great view.

No coin laundry and a lack of a better breakfast option.

The staff are nice. The room is clean. And the location is good.

If you arrive at JR Nikko late at night, it would be a bit dark and quiet on the way to the hotel.

The hotel is clean. Breakfast is very ordinary, with 1 boiled egg, 2 pieces of bread, milk, and coffee. When we stayed 2

My husband and I stayed at Nikko Station Hotel 2 for 4 nights in October. This hotel is in a very good location; easy walking distance to trains, busses, restaurants, shops, and sites. There is a dispenser in the hotel lobby for hot and cold drinking water, green tea, and Nescafe. Just off the lobby is a room with 2 microwaves, an ice machine, and vending machines for beer, soup, and non-alcoholic drinks. As throughout Japan, Nikko Station Hotel 2 prefers guests not check-in early. If you arrive earlier, there is a room where you can lock up your bag. At check-in you choose to either have your room cleaned daily or to leave your towels & trash bin liner outside your door daily & receive fresh towels and a new trash bin liner. Our Double Room was clean, if small, as are most hotel rooms in Japan. The bed was comfortable, with a pillow-soft duvet. The room had a small refrigerator and a small closet space with hangers. Breakfast is not included in the room charge however the hotel offers a free breakfast to all of its guests from 7am to 9am: Coffee or tea, thick slice of bread, boiled egg, small Japanese salad, juice. It isn’t much but, honestly, it’s enough to get you started on the day.

Wall hooks in the bedroom would have been helpful to hang clothes on, and wall hooks in the bathroom would have been helpful to hang damp towels on. I dislike having one side of the bed against the wall, as there is no easy way to get in or out, and no place to put your book, glasses, or phone within easy reach.

Great location, friendly helpful staff, super comfortable bed and simple, but good breakfast included. I would stay there again and i liked the jazz playing in the lobby. Beaitiful view from my window on the 5th floor. (See pic)

I would have liked coffee makings in the room

Location close to the Tobu train station.

Very basic room, bed was not very comfortable. Shower was strange and not enjoyable. Breakfast was very basic.

Location, simple complimentary breakfast, and was able to accomodate my 6yo child last minute, I just added 2,200 yen and includes breakfast. Free parking was also a huge plus!

The AC noise was very disturbing. Didn’t sleep well because of that but bed was comfortable enough for the 3 of us.

Very conveniently located. Our room was clean and comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was a welcome surprise. If you need additional amenities, you need to inquire at the front desk and they will be more than happy to accommodate you. We enjoyed our overnight stay!

Good central location, close to train stations, restaurants, busses. Even though we did not purchase breakfast with the room, the hotel gave everyone breakfast- simple, but much appreciated to have a little something to start the day

The hotel changes over the air conditioning units in every room, from cooling to heating mode at night. Depending on time of year. Not having control of this in the room is not good. Luckily, a very small window could be opened to let in cool air. It was mid-October for us, not very cool at night, and the room warms up considerably with showering.
