Beautiful hotel. Private beach with cabanas spread out so you do not feel crowded. Excellent food. Superb hospitality. Scoot rentals and tuk tuk ride service right in front of the hotel. We would stay here anytime in Siquijor.

TV is fuzzy, but you are not there to watch TV anyway.

We ultimately had a good stay at Coco Grove, but the experience started with a serious and avoidable issue that should be noted for future guests.Our reservation was fully prepaid through Booking.com, yet while we were already en route to the resort we were contacted and told that our booking had “failed” and that our room might not be available. This was extremely stressful given the timing and the fact that payment had already been made.After contacting Booking.com, they intervened and the resort later confirmed that our reservation would be honored. However, upon arriving in our room, we found a welcome greeting card addressed to another guest. From this, it became clear that the room had been double booked by the hotel, which explained the confusion and added to the discomfort of the situation.When this was raised with Joy, the manager, the handling of the issue was disappointing. Rather than acknowledging the error or taking ownership, the situation was blamed on Booking.com, with comments about ongoing issues with the platform. When I calmly expressed how stressful and awkward this experience was for us as arriving guests, the response felt dismissive, including being told to “be happy” because other guests did not get rooms.To be clear, the room itself was lovely, the resort grounds are beautiful, the food was very good, and the majority of the staff outside of management were warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming. They are the reason this is still a positive stay overall.However, the lack of accountability and empathy at the management level left a sour first impression that could have been avoided with a simple acknowledgment and apology.Guests booking through Booking.com should be aware that reservation handling appears to be an issue here, and I would recommend reconfirming directly with the resort prior to arrival to avoid a similar experience.

Snorkeling by the beach of the resort with great marine life

The staff is wonderful. The resort is beautiful and very expansive. There are a number of swimming pools all over the resort making it convenient as the property is big. We attended the dinner and show on a Saturday night. The food was good and the show was entertaining.

The mosquitos are invisible and just ate us alive.

We very much enjoyed our time at Coco Grove. We loved that we were in a villa in a quiet area. We loved that the marine sanctuary was right in front of us on a beautiful beach. The design of the resort is easy to get around and explore. All the workers were so sweet and thoughtful. We loved the Barbecue and show (Monday & Thursday) with wonderful singers and the fire show. The Saturday Buffet and cabaret show was excellent. Book shows ahead of time. So much talent! Alex took us on a fun and interesting coastal tour of the island. There was so much to do and explore. Thanks for providing a wonderful holiday in an amazing location.

Feels like paradise - very accommodating, excellent service, food, facilities and staff.

Quite far from other restaurants

Incredible property with an expansive and lush jungle paradise directly on the beach. The food choices at Coco Grove are many, and they are all unique in their views, style, and delicious menu options. We would stay here again and again. We loved the staff, the pools, the food, the beach, all of the activities and the lovely people of Siquijor. We hope to see you again soon.

Your gym needs serious attention and the hours are nonsensical. For such a nice resort that is so meticulously thought out in other ways, to completely disregard the gym is a major oversight. I just want to warn other guests that may be planning a vacation with an interest in investing in working out - the gym is woefully inadequate. In all other ways CG is fantastic, just setting expectations on gym facilities.

From the moment of getting off the Ocean Jet transport we were greeted with a very welcoming team who provided details of the resort during the ride there . Everyone at the resort was very friendly and the beach front villa was outstanding proving lots of room and great views from the balcony. All the restaurants are excellent and a very courteous staff. The entire resort was layed out perfectly providing lots of walking areas and swimming pools . Activity team was very nice and helpful in explaining everything. I will definitely return as this was a very comforting, beautiful resort

Everything was perfect!

EVERYONE in the resort was very nice and welcoming. They even upgraded our room because the initial room was near an on-going construction. The restaurants had great food options and all in all it’s a really nice place to relax and unwind.

I love the idea that there are different wifi accessible throughout the resort and they maintain one password for all, thus you can easily connect to the nearest one wherever you might be. Also, I think the Temple Suites are underrated, but should be a top consideration among bookers, especially if you want to have a direct and quick access to the spa.

Albeit the nice interiors of our suite, we saw some dead bugs in different parts of the room, and an old/used hotel towel from a previous customer was left behind inside the closet. Also, one time our used towels were collected during the clean-up but were not replaced. In the same instance, used towels that were already left in the floor for replacement were returned as is to their racks/places for us to be used again. In essence, housekeeping could still improve, including their response time re: reported issues such as the above. Lastly, would also be appreciated if the restaurants can do room services even during non-rainy nights.

Beach amenities, pool, spa and super friendly staff

Excellent staff, facilities, and location. My second time to stay. Marine Sanctuary right in front of the resort. If you enjoy snorkeling or just like nice resorts it is the best place in Siquijor island.

Honestly, the place is perfect in many ways, especially for families. I stayed here with my family and we were really impressed with the overall ambiance, facilities, and relaxing atmosphere. It truly felt like a slice of paradise, and everything—from the beach to the service—was wonderful. However, I did have one unexpected experience that affected our stay. While we were trying to take photos at the entrance area to capture some memories, the security guard approached us and told us we weren’t allowed to take photos there because the owner might get mad. I was confused and honestly a bit hurt. We were checked-in guests, not walk-ins, and we just wanted to take nice photos during our stay.It felt quite embarrassing and left a bit of emotional impact on me. After that, I didn’t feel comfortable taking pictures anymore. It made the rest of the stay feel a little off. I understand the resort has to be strict with walk-in guests, but I hope the staff, especially the guards, would ask first before assuming. It would help avoid misunderstandings and make paying guests feel more welcome.Aside from that incident, everything else was beautiful, and I would still recommend Coco Grove—especially for families looking for a peaceful escape. I just hope that future guests are treated with a little more understanding and respect, especially when they’ve paid a premium for the experience.

The staff were incredibly friendly, polite, and accommodating. The hotel offered excellent amenities, the rooms were clean, and the highlight of our stay was the amazing breakfast! Definitely worth your money!!

Breakfast was amazing. All their food was delicious, but I suppose even a shoe would have tasted good while enjoying the incredible view. The staff felt like family immediately, and the property is incredibly well maintained.

They could have had the drift wood cleaned up on the beach more often, but that is truly nit picking. They had crews out on the beach daily cleaning it up. Everything else was just perfect.

It has friendly staff, is clean, and has a private beach. I highly recommend it.

The only downside was that if you needed to call the front desk, it was always busy, and it seemed like they only had 1 phone in the front.
