The Bridge Residence Hotel

We had dinner and breakfast. Food was excellent.

Very good breakfast, helpful and friendly staff, loved our room, good location and great bar.

The very large bedroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was OK - nothing exceptional. The breakfast staff were very friendly.

I booked this hotel because of the very positive Booking.com reviews but it did not live up to the reviews. While the rooms were large and clean, the hotel looked tired. While it has "Bridge" in its name, it is nowhere near the Bridge over the River Kwai. It is a 25 minute walk from the railway station (I know because I walked it. I was quoted a ridiculous 250 Baht by the tuk tuk driver and on principle would not use it). It is also about 25 minutes walk from the famous bridge. You will need to take tuk tuks everywhere. I found from experience and bargaining that 60 to 80 Baht is the rate to the railway station and to the bridge (60 more often than 80).

Good room, good service

Lighting in the bathroom, even with both lights on, is very dim. Used to be live music outside of bar.

Breakfast, live music in the morning, very nice staff. Great location. Would have given it a 10 but for the gripe below.

I ALWAYS book "NO PETS" in any hotel. On my 3rd day I saw 2 dogs, one unleashed that came charging out of the elevator and was allowed in the restaurant. Saw it again on the 4th day. When I complained, I was told one of them was THE HOTEL QWNER/MANGER'S DOG, and the other a friend of the manager. I'm sure many people don't care, but if you are allergic or have PTSD to dogs, the management should be following their own rules. The wonderful staff understood, and I didn't see the mutts after I showed them their own policy. Hopefully this will be followed for future guests.

Room is large, with balcony and good lighting. Breakfast is great, great coffee as well. And the restaurant in the hotel is great for evening meal without going out.

TV is a bit small. Shower head is too high and is not adjustable, so the water just didn't go where I want.

Large rooms and bed, excellent breakfast, and good location. I also like we have safe parking space for our motorbikes.

Very professional staff and very attentive. Restaurant has a large menu that offers both Asian and Western dishes. Central location provides walkable option to most places of interest. Very nice hotel.

Only complaint was how late in afternoon my room was cleaned.

breakfast was very good, plenty of choices. room also very good, a smart TV with youtube was a great plus.location right near the bar/restaurant area was a bonus. also a great tuk tuk service to get around.

Aircon did not blow cool enough, balcony was quite small. Pool very small/shallow

Friendly well trained staff night and day shift. Have been staying there for the past 10 years ,will be back again soon.Great breakfast.

All was good

The room was very spacious with lovely views of the mountains and we could see the river. Room was very clean as were the corridors and facilities. We often saw the cleaners mopping the floors around the hotel. Bed was very comfy. The buffet style breakfast was really good, one of the best so far on our 6 week trip. Staff were very friendly and helpful too.

We loved the accommodation, room and staff but the airco unit in our room showed black mould and needed a clean, which we did ourselves.

The best hotel we had for our 2 month holidays in Thailand. Comfortable, clean, spacious bedroom with nice bathroom and a superb view. Great swimming pool and great breakfast buffet. We enjoyed cocktails at the bar made by very professional barmaids. We would like to thanks ALL the staff for their kindness, efficiency and lovely smiles.

Good location in the centre of town close to bars & restaurants.

Two nights in this hotel. Nice staff, comfortable and giant bed. Pool on the second floor, one two sun beds but the bean bags are more comfortable. Staff will bring clean pool towels if you ask at reception. Very good breakfast options. Good restaurant in front of the hotel. 25 min walk to the museum and war memorial cemetery.
