    Pros +

    • Staff is very polite and location is good all amenities are good food is awesome good quality
    • The property was absolutely gorgeous. The hotel was so clean it sparkled and the views were positively stunning.
    • Marriot hotel and spa in Katra is amazing. The service as soon as we arrived was perfect and they accommodated some changes to our room. I must give a special mention to the food and the restaurant team. Vishal and all the chefs made such a wonderful buffet selection and the waiting staff were also great. I would recommend this as a place to stay especially if you are visiting Vaishno Devi.Thank you for a lovely stay

    Cons -

    • I was traveling with my disabled mother, and after a long and tiring day at Vaishno Devi, I wanted her to have a head, neck, shoulder, and back massage so that she didn’t wake up stiff and rigid the next day. She’s a 2x stroke patient so she has a lot of toning and rigidity as it is, however we arrived at the hotel from our darshans only to learn that the spa was not only across the property but also not wheelchair accessible. The massage was absolutely vital for her to not be in pain the next day, so we painstakingly brought her down two flights of stairs, flanked by two people, one slow step at a time. The masseuse, Usha, was incredible, but shame on them for having an inaccessible spa.Next, and worst, on the list of offenses was that we didn’t have a single restful night’s sleep on either of the two nights we were there. The first night at around 2:30am some man keyed into our room! Luckily I had the bolt lock on and he wasn’t able to fully open the door, but I sleep partially in the nude and it’s horrifying to think that he could’ve just strolled in. He then spent the next 20 minutes after being dismissed by us arguing with the neighboring room about whether their room was his or not. I felt like he was drunk?! But either way, the front desk staff gave some our room access - UNACCEPTABLE.The second night, unbeknownst to us since we were not notified, there was a wedding occurring on the lawn right in front of our room. The entire room shook until midnight and my mother was disturbed and confused by the sounds the entire evening. The buffet meals were completely mediocre. Largely tasteless with minimal variety. The kitchen staff, aside from one or two men who looked like managers that were very accommodating, were also miserable and unhelpful.
    • -House keeping- The Lady Duty Manager - Kids play area not properly operational more than half of the games were not working as per staff kids didn't enjoy. - Tried to speak to GM but no one arranged after several requests to Duty Manager and staff.- Service is poor.- Buffet items are so compromised in Dinner being a 5 star property. - we extended our stay and after darshan they did not clean the room after giving information to the desk.
    • rooms are not sound proof, in the morning the doors closing noise was there which is bit annoying.

The calmness and stillness of the site is worth every penny. The staff was courteous and very helpful. There was no rush of check out.We had our cab at 3 am after Mata darshan.Loved every bit of our stay here.We were given free pick up and drop from hotel to the start of the trek. The whole team is amazing . The relaxation that we needed after 32 kms of trekking in 10 hours was very well taken care of .

The service was brilliant. The team - Sahil, Shallu & more, were prompt. I received an email from the property one day prior to my check in, asking for my food preferences.

The property is not located close to the market, so you need to hire a cab everytime you need to step out.

Great stay, helpful staff. Breakfast was good, staff were very courteous. However room prices are expensive compared to other hotels in the area. Extra bed was charged at 2500rs + taxes and was not very comfortable as the mattress was jumpy.

    10MalhotraPosted on: 2-28-2025

The food was superb. Chef Bhawani Chef bhupendra Chef Nandan went out the way to deliver the experience and the food.

    Everything was great.

New brand hotel well done spacious rooms , sparkling clean , great room service and house keeping Absolutely top notch And the very cherry on the cake was their restaurant I think it has one of the best Vegetarian fare that i have hadTheir chef Nitin and his colleague chef from Nepal did an absolutely amazing jobThe recipes dished out by chef Nitin are spectacular and the staff trained by him are just superb Keep it and kudos

Well the to and fro charges should to the helipad should be incorporated in the price of the room or should have been informed to us at check InBut didn’t spoil our flavour of the stay

If you’re planning to visit Vaishno Mata for Darshan, the location of your stay is crucial. Katra Marriott Resort is approximately 6 km before Banganga/Katra Bus Stand. Considering this distance, the hotel should ideally offer free pickup and drop services for added convenience.

What I did not like is that despite Katra Marriott Resort being located around 6 km from Banganga/Katra Bus Stand, the hotel does not provide complimentary pickup and drop services, which would have been a thoughtful addition given the distance.

Fairly new property, large rooms and great staff. I’d like to make a special mention about Deepak, Mayank, Deena, and the chef for their excellent services at the front desk, overall stay, amazing food, and the spa.

    9RohitPosted on: 12-5-2024

Excellent rooms, good food and lovely staff.

    7PoonamPosted on: 11-24-2024

Chef Bhavani’s exceptional hospitality. He ensured all the dishes made for us were perfect for our taste.

They’ve major issues with running water in the bathroom. There was no running water in the bathroom at times, and the hot and cold mixer were not properly functional.

    10GauravPosted on: 10-30-2024

Excellent fresh juices, nice breakfast spread and efficient room service. The hotel has great location, very nice lawn, and overall the stay was comfortable.

    Everything was in order.

    10KanikaPosted on: 8-5-2024

The property is certainly the most beautiful in the area. the staff is extremely hospitable, Chef Nitin, and Raj on the front desk were extremely helpful and accommodating. Would recommend 10/10 :-)

    10NEELAKSHPosted on: 7-17-2024

The service was good, staff was friendly. Food was really good

A few things, internally discussed with the staff no need to post here, rest it was a good stay overall

    7RiteshPosted on: 7-14-2024

The room size and the staff was good. The staff was courteous and ready to serve with a broad smile.

The AC in all the common areas were non functional. There was no hot water in the bathroom when we returned back from Darshan at midnight. The hotel is far off from the Helipad and Ban Ganga and the dropping charges are are on a higher side. Considering the location of the property, they should have reasonable/genuine pick and drop rates.
