Light Hostel - Tainan

Staff has extremely helpful - they help write down places I wanted to go to pass onto my taxi driver and the room itself exceeded my expectations. They had all the amenities I could think of for a hostel and then some. Would definitely come back.

Only complaint is the windows are quite thin but it's out of the hostels control as a majority of the windows in Taiwan are thin. I heard everything outside from people talking across the street to the mopeds. They did however, provide earbuds!

Great location in central Tainan. Good food and bars walking distance away. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean. Make sure to bring a towel so you don't have to rent one! Staff was kind and helpful, large common area downstairs

Conveniently located in the West Central district. Lots of eateries nearby, there's even a bbq/braised supper place right in front of the hostel.Coin washer in the hostel.

The shower water drains slowly

Accessible and value-for-money. They even gave a Xmas present!!

No breakfast option but no issue cause there are many local option around

I stayed in the private room and it was great, has a window, great big bathrooom, good aircon etc. would stay again for sure

Very clean & nearby has many good food.Need to walk a bit distance (about 5 to 10 mins) to a local market.Walk about 20mins to Art Museum.

I love the beautiful, open, common space on the first floor. The space is very relaxing and cheerful. I found the room and bathroom to be very comfortable and clean! Perhaps the best part is the friendly staff and awesome location! Right beside the hostel is a nice restaurant that holds live night music some days of the week. I am so happy that they had a guitar in the hostel. I learned to play basic chords which was very meaningful to me!

The limited front-desk operating hours, but I understand it is because workers must also have a rest :)

Friendly staff that can speak English (unfortunately not the norm in every hostel in Taiwan), good location and acceptable to walk from the station (1.2km?)

I had nothing to complain

Female dormitory have priviate toilet and shower inside each room.Self-Laundry facilities is good and have clothes drying area.

Bed, locker and wall have dust and the bed curtain is dirty.The mattress and pillow is too soft and low, you will feel not very well when you wake up in next morning.Confined air in the room because the Air-conditioner cannot adjust to lower temperature

The room was nice and clean. The hostel is conveniently located near attractions and has many restaurants and shopping areas.

Even though I was checking in later beyond 6pm, the staff were kind enough to wait for me to assist me with checking into the hostel. The hostel also had coin laundry facilities which made it very useful for me to wash and dry my laundry.

There isn't any door to seperate the bathroom in each dorm room with the bedrooms

- The staff hours seemed a little restrictive. Luggage storage was a little inconvenient- The room cleaning didn't seem excellent, some amenities weren't replaced and there was a used toothbrush still in the shower- The windows in the room faced a wall so no light really came into the room

the insallation of toilet, shower and vanity is just a glass door. Meaning anyone uses the facily inside the room will wake up all the sleeping people in bed. the worse part is in the middle of night. I had been wake up with a number of times when someone flushing the toilet.

The best is that the employees are good at English and are all kind. and the location is the best. so all nice except for roommates who snore.

Awesome location, very big and comfortable common room. Some of the staff are absolutely lovely and will do everything they can to help you.

Even though there are “quiet” times and bathrooms outside the dorm, some people really don’t care and shower and blow dry their hair even after midnight. Hour long showers were also a thing. There should be more effort to prevent this and let people who want to sleep be the “rude” ones, telling them to please go downstairs. Also there seems to be a lack of communication between staff.

Exceptional help from receptionists , brilliant area for eating. Spaciousness of whole hostel. Highly recommend for a few days stay. We booked in for 3 nights, however we liked it so much we stayed one more night.
