Wei-Yat Grand Hotel

Firstly the hotel is 4 story with a huge appartment block on top so that Booking.com photo is a bit misleading - it's grand but not that grand! Location is great, by the river in Anping, on a bus route (#2) into the main city. At one stage this would have been high end 5 star - and its now quite faded from that - but still really nice. Free parking under the hotel was a breeze. Breakfast pretty extensive, very Eastern, little Western food (suited us). Rooms big, bathroom big. Laundry room. staff helpful and friendly. It was good value.

The parking was easy to use and the staff were very helpful amd friendly. The room qas big and clean.

The breakfast was fantastic and the location was brilliant too

The toilet , it’s easy to get wet but the property didn’t provide rubber slipper or extra towels to prevent wet floor.

Noisy in breakfast time

Typical ‘Chinese’ hotel. A little tired, especially bedrooms. Breakfast selection good, but not very warm. Very messy behind the counters!

Central location

The window seal was broken so it was very cold in the room. Breakfast was very traditional.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a very large suite which was great traveling with a kid. Parking was free and extremely easy in a garage below the hotel. Breakfast was good. Walking distance to Anping district (less than a mile).

Everything was very good.

Spacious room and river view

There was a fly in the room after I checked in which really spoiled my impression. Everything was old

It’s a great value for a short stay. Very close to anping. It’s kind of noisy with machine running humming whole night. The pillow is extremely uncomfortable. If you are a light sleeper, I would not recommend you stay here

The hotel is an aged grant hotel. The facility is out of date. Not enough outlets for computer and phone charging.

Big spacious hotel and we were the only ones having our breakfast at 9am. Reasonable room rate as well.

All well except that the hotel needs a refurbishment.

I chose this hotel mainly due to its location, I was visiting people who live nearby.Hotel is very big and it was overall a clean space.I enjoyed the breakfast, definitely the highlight, they had a lot of choices.

The property is very old and you can feel it immediately. It's a nice place but the decor and interior feels dated. I'm sure the staff clean the hotel thoroughly but some places just feel old and unclean because it's been used for forever.Even though the room had all the stuff that you'd expect but it was clear some of the stuff in my room had to be fixed but whoever did the fixing didn't care to do a good job.

There are not a lot of hotels in this area with a nice view of the water and a buffet breakfast. And the staff was always helpful and kind. I also really like having a bathtub.

The carpeting in the rooms needs to be changed, if the carpets not clean, the room doesn't feel clean.

Nice area, river front and ideal for hanging out in Anping. The room was big, nice long corridor, huge bathroom. The staff was helpful, I saw mostly young workers, all very nice and ready to help.

Not sure the room is worth the price. Definitely it could use some refurbishing, it feels a bit outdated, I saw stains (brown stains in the hair dryer cable…I don’t want to know what that was) and the shower feels more belonging in a cheap B&B than in a ‘grand hotel’. The window was tinted and when opened it, I felt I kicked something with my feet: a bottle of traditional chinese alcohol, presumably left there by the previous guests; I guess the cleaning staff missed that one. The view is just another wall of the building. Awful view.

I enjoyed breakfast and location was good, especially it is beside river. It is healthy place.

Breakfast should be more for foreigners also.
